Abstract:Oilseed rape is the third largest global oil crop, and also the main source of high-quality vegetable oil and feed proteins; it has become one of the most valuable agricultural commodities. As the global warming intensifies, however, the production environment of oilseed rape deteriorates, and abiotic stresses such as weak light, drought, waterlogging, salinity-alkalinity, and low temperature occur frequently, significantly influencing the growth and physiological processes of oilseed rape, and affecting its yield and quality. In this study, the physiological mechanisms by which weak light, soil moisture and saline-alkali stresses affect the yield and quality of oilseed rape were reviewed from the aspects of photosynthetic physiology, root growth and root-shoot interactions. On this basis, the key cultivation measures for high-quality and high-yield oilseed rape under abiotic stresses were appraised.
