Abstract:Innovation ability of scientific research is an important part of postgraduate education. Base on a sample of Fatigue and Fracture Laboratory research group in Beihang University, a cultivation mode for innovation ability of postgraduate is explored from three aspects: practice ability of scientific research, innovative consciousness and ability, and international perspective. The first one is the basis of creative ability. In this stage, the emphasis is put on building knowledge system of postgraduate courses, establishing a professional skill training database and information database, literacy-library and research skills training database, carrying out regular lectures of teachers, carrying out regular research progression report and writing skill training of postgraduate. The second one is essential for innovation ability training. Through cultivation location analysis for each postgraduate, individual training scheme is adopted and individualized tutor group is set up. The postgraduate joined the research team could deeply involve in scientific research. And thus the creative consciousness is trained through practical research process. The third one is the key to elevate the innovative ability. To broaden the view of postgraduate, international windows of scientific re searches were established. At the same time, the English reading/writing skills and international exchange and cooperation skills of postgraduates are also attached importance to. Integration of the three aspects forms a postgraduate training system of scientific research and innovation ability.
