Application of Mind Mapping in Polymer Chemistry Course

Abstract:The Internet era has changed the traditional teaching mode. In the teaching environment with increasingly rich information resources, the problem that students lacking of good methods or effective tools for self-directed learning has become increasingly prominent. Polymer Chemistry is the core basic course of Polymer Materials and Engineering major, which is characterized by many concepts, strong theory and difficulty in understanding. The mind mapping was proposed to use as a tool for knowledge summarization and induction, and apply mind mapping in this course, in order to improve students’ learning initiative and ability, which embodied the educational concept of “student-centered”.
