Abstract:Silver phosphate (Ag3PO4, APO) has attracted intense attention as a visible-light-driven photocatalyst, but its large-scale application is limited by severe charge recombination and inevitable photo-corrosion. Various rational APO-based heterostructures composed of APO nanoparticles (NPs) and band-matched semiconductor support are designed to address the above issues. Nevertheless, the size, density, stability, and dispersion of APO NPs are critical challenges for the photocatalytic performance of APO-based photocatalysts. Here, three-dimensional (3D) self-assembled TiO2 hierarchical spheres (THS) prepared by a simple one-step hydrothermal method are employed as innovative support, and ultrafine high-density APO NPs with an average size of about 3 nm are successfully deposited and uniformly dispersed throughout THS to form hierarchical THS/APO composites. The novel THS/APO microstructure provides abundant reactive sites for photocatalytic reactions and promotes the photogenerated charge separation and transfer due to the ultrafine size of APO NPs and the TiO2/APO Type-II heterojunction. As a result, the THS/APO composites show significant improvement in photocatalytic activity and stability in methylene blue (MB) degradation. The reaction constant of THS/APO composites far exceeds that of either THS or APO, roughly 16 and 7 times higher than that of THS and APO under full-spectrum light, and 41 and 4 times higher under visible light. Our results strongly suggest new insights into the low-cost, large-scale application of high-efficiency APO-based photocatalyst.

Abstract:In a typical Z-scheme photocatalytic system, the visible light responsive component typically plays a crucial role and is often confined to materials sensitive to visible light. In addition, metallic nanodots or quantum dots are used as effective cocatalysts in the construction of plasmonic Z-scheme photocatalysts because of their strong light harvesting capacities under visible light illumination. In the present study, Bi4Ti3O12 nanosheets dominated with (001) crystal planes were successfully prepared via a facile molten-salt method, and BTO/Ag/APO composite samples were prepared by a simple precipitation method followed by photoreduction. The obtained BTO/Ag/APO composite exhibits improved photocatalytic activity for the decontamination of two typical organic pollutants, compared to bare Bi4Ti3O12 and Ag3PO4. Based on various characterization techniques, a Z-scheme electron transfer mechanism induced by the plasmonic effect was hypothesized to clarify the enhanced catalytic performances in this system. On the other hand, the LSPR effect of deposited silver nanoparticles can boost the molecular oxygen activation process and generate more superoxide radicals. This study provides a promising approach to apply highly effective photocatalytic degradation for environmental remediation.

Abstract:Ag quantum dots (Ag QDs) sensitized TiO2 nanorod arrays (NRAs)/ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) heterojunctions were fabricated by a three-step method and investigated as photocatalysts. Experimental results showed that the novel material exhibited enhanced optical properties and a high degradation rate (for methyl orange) under UV light (109% compared to bare TiO2 NRAs). The high rate was attributed to an increase in the separation of electrons-holes induced by the introduction of the ZnO NPs and the localized surface plasmon resonance (SPR) of Ag QDs. The degradation mechanism was elucidated based on the band structure. It is suggested that the TiO2/ZnO/Ag nanostructure developed in our work can provide a new platform for the design of highly efficient photocatalysts.
Facile synthesis of hierarchical Ag 3 PO 4 /TiO 2 nanofiber heterostructures with highly enhanced visible light photocatalytic properties

Abstract:Heterostructured semiconductor nanostructures have provoked great interest in the areas of energy, environment and catalysis. Herein, we report a novel hierarchical Ag3PO4/TiO2 heterostructure consisting of nearly spherical Ag3PO4 particles firmly coupled on the surface of TiO2 nanofibers (NFs). The construction of Ag3PO4/TiO2 heterostructure with tailored morphologies, compositions and optical properties was simply achieved via a facile and green synthetic strategy involving the electrospinning and solution-based processes. Owing to the synergetic effects of the components, the resulting hybrid heterostructures exhibited much improved visible light photocatalytic performance, which could degrade the RhB dye completely in 7.5 min. In addition, the coupling of Ag3PO4 particles with UV-light-sensitive TiO2 NFs enabled full utilization of solar energy and less consumption of noble metals, significantly appealing for their practical use in new energy sources and environmental issues. Abstract:The graphene quantum dots (GQDs) with outstanding electron conductivity and good optical properties modified Ag3PO4 composites were prepared by a simple two-step method. Compared to pure Ag3PO4, the GQDs/Ag3PO4 composites exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activities for degradation Rhodamine B (RhB) and 4-Chlorophenol (4-CP) under the visible-light irradiation. More interestingly, the stabilities of Ag3PO4 were also been improved after introducing GQDs. The possible reaction mechanism was proposed by discussing comprehensive characterizations, which indicated that the GQDs can work as electron acceptors to enhance separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. The structure-activity relationships have been studied in detail. The active species was determined and photocatalytic mechanism was proposed.
Synthesis and Characterization of Ag 3 PO 4 /multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Composite Photocatalyst with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity and Stability under Visible Light

Abstract:A novel Ag3PO4/multiwalled carbon nanotube (Ag3PO4/MWCNT) composite has been prepared by a simple precipitant approach. The obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray, UV–Vis diffuse reflectance, and Raman spectroscopy. It is found that the MWCNTs are well deposited on Ag3PO4 nanoparticles. The Ag3PO4/MWCNT composite with MWCNT content of 1.4 wt% exhibits optimal photocatalytic activity under visible light. The rate constant of MO degradation over Ag3PO4/1.4 wt% MWCNT is 5.84 times that of pure Ag3PO4. Compared with pure Ag3PO4, the incorporation of MWCNTs not only significantly enhances the photocatalytic activity but also improves the structural stability of Ag3PO4, suggesting that the synergistic effects take place in the composite. The improvement is attributed to the conductive structure supported by MWCNTs, which favors electron–hole separation and the removal of photogenerated electrons from the decorated Ag3PO4. A possible photocatalytic mechanism of the Ag3PO4/MWCNT photocatalyst was assumed as well.

Abstract:The fabrication and improved performance of Z-scheme visible-light-driven Ag 3 PO 4 @N-GQDs@g-C 3 N 4 ternary nano/hetero-junctions have been described in this study. Fern-like silver orthophosphate (Ag 3 PO 4 ) microstructures have been modified using nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs) and then have been coated by ultrathin graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ) sheets via a combined technique including freeze-drying and refluxing methods. Photocatalytic studies have been conducted through visible-light photo-degradation of standard methylene blue dye in aqueous media. The Ag 3 PO 4 @N-GQDs@g-C 3 N 4 ternary nano/hetero-junctions have exhibited the promoted photocatalytic efficiency of 97.91%, which is about 1.07 and 1.34 times higher than that of Ag 3 PO 4 @g-C 3 N 4 binary nano/hetero-junctions (91.46%) and pristine-Ag 3 PO 4 microstructures (85.91%), respectively. The excellent recyclability of the Ag 3 PO 4 @N-GQDs@g-C 3 N 4 photo-catalyst has been verified in the cycle operations in which the recycling efficiency could have been maintained at 94.92% after five runs of experiments. The quenching effects of scavengers have suggested that the superoxide radicals ( ) and holes ( ) are the predominant active species governing the photocatalytic reaction of the Ag 3 PO 4 @N-GQDs@g-C 3 N 4 ternary composite due to a Z-scheme junction. The improved photocatalytic activity of Ag 3 PO 4 @N-GQDs@g-C 3 N 4 nano/hetero-junctions could have been ascribed to the higher visible-light harvesting capacity, better charge carrier separation and stronger oxidation and reduction ability relevant to the indirect Z-scheme system where N-GQDs act as an efficient electron transfer media.

Abstract:Metal-free polymer graphite carbon nitride (CN) is a promising photocatalyst that has garnered significant research attention. However, unmodified CN possesses several shortcomings such as low specific surface area, poor dispersibility in water, and rapid photogenerated electron-hole recombination, which have severely impacted its mass adoption. Here, this study proposed a two-step heat treatment method to incorporate P dopant and the containing-oxygen groups successively into CN. The final product, denoted as PO-CN, possessed a porous ultrathin nanosheet-like morphology. The introduction of P dopant altered the intrinsic electronic structure of CN. Meanwhile, the presence of oxygen-containing groups improved the dispersibility of PO-CN in water. Also, it led to the formation of a porous ultrathin structure that could provide more active sites. Through the synergistic effects of these two methods, PO-CN demonstrated superior photocatalytic performance compared to the unmodified counterpart. Based on the collective results obtained experimentally and theoretically, PO-CN possessed a porous ultrathin structure, low resistance, and low carrier recombination. The results show an optimal hydrogen evolution rate of PO-CN (997.7 mol h(-1) g(-1)), which was 11.2 times and 3.22 times that of the CN (88.89 mol h(-1) g(-1)) and PCN (310.3 mol h(-1) g(-1)). Moreover, PO-CN was then used in the degradation of Rhodamine B, and a degradation kinetic constant (k) of 0.15009 was calculated, which was 18.42 times and 8.22 times higher as compared to those of CN (0.00815) and PCN (0.01826). Hence, this work provides a new strategy for the alteration of the morphology and electronic structure of CN.

Abstract:In this study, a new hydroxyapatite/N-doped carbon dots/Ag3PO4 (HA/N-CDs/Ag3PO4) composite was prepared by a facile hydrothermal approach and in situ ion-exchange reaction method. The photocatalytic performance of the as-prepared samples was investigated by the degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. It was found that the HA/N-CDs/Ag3PO4 composite exhibited much higher photocatalytic activity and stability compared with HA/N-CDs and HA/Ag3PO4. In addition, the effect of the amount of silver loading on the photocatalytic activity of the composite was evaluated. The experimental results showed that a higher silver loading amount led to a decrease of both the UV-Vis absorption and photocatalytic performance. A suitable content of silver loading produced the highest photocatalytic activity. The substantial improvement in the photocatalytic performance of the composite can be attributed to the synergetic effects of HA support, CDs and the formed Ag3PO4, which led to an increase of active sites, suppression of the electron-hole recombination, and the stability improvement of Ag3PO4. The HA/N-CDs/Ag3PO4 photocatalyst synthesized via a cost-effective route is a promising candidate in organics removal.
In Situ Epitaxial Growth Of Ag3po4 Quantum Dots On Hematite Nanotubes For High Photocatalytic Activities

Abstract:Effective construction of semiconductor hetero-nanostructures (HNSs) with a well-defined hetero-interface is of great importance. So far, highly developed liquid-phase chemical routes are often restricted by their heavy use of surfactants and/or organic solvents, which inevitably introduce passivated surfaces and interfacial defects in the resultant HNSs. Here, we have developed a novel and efficient in situ epitaxial growth strategy to fabricate HNSs of Ag3PO4 quantum dots (QDs) on the external surface of hematite (Fe2O3) nanotubes (NTs) (Ag3PO4/Fe2O3 NT-HNSs), by intentionally employing chemically adsorbed phosphate anions on the surface of Fe2O3 NTs to control the reaction kinetics of phosphate anions and Ag+ ions in aqueous solution. In this synthetic strategy, the chemically adsorbed phosphate anions on the surface of the Fe2O3 NTs play the dual functions of heterogeneous nucleation and in situ epitaxial growth of Ag3PO4 QDs along the direction of (311) on the (113) crystal plane of Fe2O3 NTs. That is, they precipitate Ag+ ions via gradual dissociation of free phosphate anions and so generate Ag3PO4 QDs, and they serve as a bridge and bond for in situ epitaxial growth of Ag3PO4 QDs on Fe2O3NTs. Due to the unique coupling of the hetero-interfaces and internal electric field, the as-obtained Ag3PO4/Fe2O3 NT-HNSs show efficient separation of photogenerated charge carriers and remarkable enhancement of their reduction and oxidation abilities by a Z-scheme photocatalytic form, significantly improving visible-light photocatalytic activity for decolorization of the organic pollutant rhodamine B. They exhibit a photocatalytic rate constant as large as 3.6 x 10(-2) min(-1), which is two orders of magnitude greater than that of single Fe2O3 NTs (9.1 x 10(-4) min(-1)), single Ag3PO4 QDs (1.6 x 10(-4) min(-1)) as well as the mixture of the two (7.1 x 10(-4) min(-1)), suggesting a highly efficient photocatalyst. The in situ epitaxial growth strategy proposed here constitutes a novel example for fine construction of hetero-nanostructures for solar utilization.

Assembly of Ag3PO4 Nanocrystals on Graphene-Based Nanosheets with Enhanced Photocatalytic Performance

Abstract:A facile fabrication of graphene oxide (GO)-Ag3PO4 nanocomposites has been achieved through a two-phase self-assembly process. The well anchoring of Ag3PO4 nanocrystals (NCs) on the GO nanosheets was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR), and Raman spectra. The significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity of the composites in comparison with bare Ag3PO4 NCs was revealed by the degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation, which can be attributed to the improved separation of electron-hole pairs and the high adsorption performance due to the presence of GO. The GO-Ag3PO4 can also be further photo-reduced into reduced graphene oxide (RGO)-Ag3PO4 nanocomposite without the formation of metal Ag. The RGO-Ag3PO4 nanocomposite exhibited higher photocatalytic activity and stability than bare Ag3PO4 NCs with the reason that the RGO nanosheets with high conductivity can effectively decrease the Ag formation during the cycling processes. This method developed here could be extended to design other high-performance graphene-based photocatalysts for environment and energy applications.
Use of a Core-Shell Composite Ag3PO4@TCNQ to Improve Photocatalytic Activity and Stability

Abstract:We report a composite photocatalyst with a core-shell structure of Ag3PO4@TCNQ (7,7,8,8-Tetracyanoquinodimethane). TCNQ nano-sheet with a conjugated structure was coated on Ag3PO4 particles to enhanced photocatalysis and the stability of Ag3PO4. This composite catalyst can improve the contact area between semiconductors, promote the separation efficiency of electron and hole, and improve photocatalytic activity and stability. Ag3PO4@TCNQ exhibited a high degradation of phenol under visible light. The degradation rate of Ag3PO4@TCNQ (0.3 wt.%) to degradation phenol achieved almost 100% in 12 min, which was about 23% higher than that of pure Ag3PO4. In addition, TCNQ wrapped on Ag3PO4 surface, as the core's protective layer, can effectively improve its stability. After five cycles, the degradation rate still reached 90%, but monomer stability retained only 43%. TCNQ, as a good electron acceptor, can transfer electrons from Ag3PO4 surface well, reduce the reduction of Ag+, and improve the separation efficiency of photogenerated charge, greatly improving the activity and stability of catalyst. TCNQ has a positive position of its energy band relative to Ag3PO4, and the electrons on the Ag3PO4 conduction band can easily transform to the Lowest Unoccupied Molecular Orbital (LUMO) level of TCNQ to realize the efficient separation of charge, which effectively improve quantum efficiency, thus improving activity and stability of catalyst. Abstract:In this study, we report the facile fabrication of Ag3PO4, CQDs/Ag3PO4, Ag/Ag3PO4 and CQDs/Ag/Ag3PO4 photocatalysts (CQDs, carbon quantum dots). For CQDs/Ag3PO4 and CQDs/Ag/Ag3PO4, because of the insoluble, photoinduced electron transfer, upconversion luminescence and electron reservoir properties of CQDs, the complex photocatalysts exhibit enhanced photocatalytic activity and structural stability over the photodecomposition of organic compounds (methyl orange) under the irradiation of visible light. Furthermore, the synergistic effect of CQDs and the intense surface plasmon resonance of Ag lead to the highest photocatalytic activity of CQDs/Ag/Ag3PO4 among Ag3PO4 and the corresponding complex photocatalysts. Our results provide an invaluable methodology for designing high-performance photocatalysts based on CQDs and related functional materials, which is promising for catalytic and new energy applications.

Abstract:Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) nanocrystals (NCs) decorated Ag3PO4 hybrids were synthesized by a facile method. The obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS). The SEM and TEM images showed that the as-prepared Ag3PO4 were composed of particles with diameters of 200-500nm, while the obtained nanocrystalline g-C3N4 were composed of smaller particles with average diameter of 10nm. For nanocrystalline g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 hybrids, the particle surfaces of Ag3PO4 were decorated with numerous g-C3N4 NCs, result in a larger contact area between g-C3N4 and Ag3PO4. The photocatalytic performances were evaluated by decomposing MO, phenol, bisphenol A, and RhB under visible light. Compared with Ag3PO4 and g-C3N4, the g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 hybrid (mass ratio=1:4) exhibited the best activity, which was much higher than that of bulk-g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 composite under the same conditions. The enhanced activities should be mainly ascribed to the enhanced separation efficiency of photo-generated carriers, which was proved by the photoluminescence (PL) spectra measurement. Controlled experiments proved that O2- and h+ played the chief role in the degradation process. A possible Z-scheme degradation mechanism of organic contaminant over g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 hybrid was proposed.
Highly Efficient Visible-Light Photocatalyst Ag/Ag3PO4/Bi2O2CO3 Enabled by the Synergistic Effect of Heterojunction and Surface Plasma Resonance

Abstract:Constructing heterojunctions to address effective charge separation and transformation is one of the crucial paths to increasing photocatalytic properties. Here, a novel ternary heterojunction photocatalyst Ag/Ag3PO4/Bi2O2CO3 was synthesized by conventional hydrothermal and chemical precipitation tactics and analyzed with PXRD, SEM, TEM, and XPS respectively. The consequences of the analysis demonstrated that nanoparticles Ag/Ag3PO4 were attached to the surface of the Bi2O2CO3 self-assembled formative nanoflowers. Precursors such as prepared Ag/Ag3PO4/Bi2O2CO3 demonstrated high-efficiency photocatalytic performance and were more reusable than the precursor Ag/Ag3PO4 and Bi2O2CO3 by visible-light-induced methylene blue (MB) photodegradation. The raised photocatalytic property may contribute to the synergistic influence between forming Ag/Ag3PO4/Bi2O2CO3 heterojunction and local surface plasma-resonance effect caused by the Ag precious metal promoting photogenerated charge carries separation efficiency, hindering the electron-hole pair recombination. Moreover, quenching experiments and ESR tests showed that hydroxyl and superoxide radicals played an important role in photodegradation. Finally, a potential photocatalytic mechanism of the Ag/Ag3PO4/Bi2O2CO3 for the electron/hole transfer procedure was proposed.
Ag@AgCl quantum dots embedded on Sn3O4 nanosheets towards synergistic 3D flower-like heterostructured microspheres for efficient visible-light photocatalysis

Abstract:Taking advantage of the oil-water interface, we introduced quantum dots (QDs) onto 2D Sn3O4 nanosheets to fabricate a composite photocatalyst with a 3D flower-like structure (denoted as /Sn3O4). Using the degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC-HCl) and methylene blue (MB) as the examples, the as-prepared /Sn3O4 composite with weight loading of 1% indicated 9.6 and 7.88 times higher photocatalytic activity than the Sn3O4 nanosheets. Within both degradation reactions, hydroxyl radicals (•OH) and superoxide radicals (•O2−) were identified as the critical oxidation intermediates based on radical trapping and electron spin resonance (ESR) experiments. The unique morphology and photoelectrochemical properties of the as-prepared composites suggested the introduced QDs cooperated with the Sn3O4 semiconductor to enhance the utilization of solar energy. Overall, the established heterojunction helped to reduce the transfer barrier of the photoinduced charge carriers, wherein the surface plasmonic resonance (SPR) of Ag nanoparticles was believed to take the main responsibility. The present work combines the and flower-like 3D Sn3O4 microspheres for the first time to achieve an impressive degrading rate of TC-HCl and MB at the weight loading as low as 1%.

Abstract:The excellent photoresponse of semiconductors enables them as a promising photocatalyst for photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants and antibiotics, but their practical applications are limited by photogenerated carrier recombination, instability, and fixed energy band positions. Herein, we designed and synthesized a dual Z-scheme flower-like spherical Ag 3 PO 4 /MoS 2 /g-C 3 N 4 (AMN) photocatalyst loaded with different mass of g-C 3 N 4 (3, 5 and 7 mg). Under visible light irradiation, MoS 2 enhanced the light absorption range of AMN composite. The holes concentrated in the valence band of Ag 3 PO 4 provide strong oxidation capacity, and the electrons retained in conduction band of g-C 3 N 4 provide strong reduction ability in the photocatalytic system. It is helpful to improve the separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers and enhance the photocatalytic activity of AMN composite. The AMN photocatalyst loaded with 5 mg g-C 3 N 4 (AMN-5) has the optimal photocatalytic activity. The photocatalytic degradation efficiency of the photocatalyst for methylene blue (MB) within 24 min is 3.98, 1.85, and 1.17 times that of g-C 3 N 4 , Ag 3 PO 4 , and Ag 3 PO 4 /MoS 2 , respectively. After three cycles, the degradation efficiency of AMN-5 for MB decreased from 99.44% to 90%, about 3.79 times of Ag 3 PO 4 (23.77%). In addition, the optimal AMN-5 photocatalyst also has excellent photocatalytic degradation efficiency for Rhodamine B (RhB) and tetracycline (TC). This design and concept provide a promising insight for the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants.

Abstract:Novel 3D hierarchical Ag3PO4/MoS2 composites were successfully prepared through a facile and reproducible hydrothermal-in situ precipitation method. The 3D flower-like spherical MoS2 nanoarchitectures acted as an excellent supporting matrix for the in situ growth of Ag3PO4 nanoparticles. The photocatalytic performance of the composites and the effect of the amount of MoS2 were investigated. The obtained hierarchical Ag3PO4/MoS2 composites exhibited significantly enhanced performance for photocatalytic oxidation of Rhodamine B (RhB) compared with pure Ag3PO4 under visible light irradiation. Ag3PO4/MoS2 composites with 15 wt% of MoS2 showed the optimal photoactivity for the degradation of RhB, which was approximately 4.8 times as high as that of pure Ag3PO4. What's more, the optimal Ag3PO4/MoS2 composite also showed better photodegradation efficiency for methyl orange (MO) and p-chlorophenol (4-CP) than pure Ag3PO4. More attractively, the stability of Ag3PO4 was improved after the in situ deposition of Ag3PO4 particles on the surface of MoS2 nanoflakes due to the conductivity of MoS2 itself as electron acceptors. The enhanced performance of the hierarchical Ag3PO4/MoS2 composites under visible light was caused by a synergistic effect including the improved separation of photogenerated charge carriers, boosted light harvesting, a relatively high surface area and matching energy band structures between the two components. Interestingly, the heterostructured Ag3PO4/MoS2 composite reduced the use of the noble metal silver, thereby effectively reducing the cost of the Ag3PO4 based photocatalyst. Ultimately, a MoS2 involved photocatalytic mechanism for the hierarchical Ag3PO4/MoS2 composites was also proposed.

Abstract:A heterostructured Ag3PO4/AgBr/Ag plasmonic photocatalyst was prepared by a rational in situ ion exchange reaction between Ag3PO4 micro-cubes and Br(-) in aqueous solution followed by photoreduction. The photocatalytic activities of obtained photocatalysts were measured by the degradation of methyl orange (MO) and methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation (λ≥ 400 nm). Compared to AgBr/Ag, Ag3PO4/AgBr heterocrystals and pure Ag3PO4 crystals, the heterostructured Ag3PO4/AgBr/Ag plasmonic photocatalysts exhibit much higher photocatalytic activity and stability. This enhanced photocatalytic activity suggests that the synergetic effects of the heterostructured Ag3PO4/AgBr/Ag and the strong SPR of Ag NPs on the surface result in the high efficiencies of the photocatalytic activity and the improved stability. With the assistance of Ag3PO4/AgBr/Ag heterostructures, only 8 min and 12 min are taken to completely decompose MO and MB molecules under visible-light irradiation, respectively. Furthermore, the photodegradation rate does not show an obvious decrease during ten successive cycles, indicating that our heterostructured Ag3PO4/AgBr/Ag plasmonic photocatalysts are extremely stable under visible-light irradiation.
