Abstract:OBJECTIVES: To develop and validate an individualized nomogram to predict probability of patients with ureteral calculi developing into urosepsis.METHODS: The clinical data of 747 patients with ureteral calculi who were admitted from June 2013 to December 2015 in Affiliated Nanhai Hospital of Southern Medical University were selected and included in the development group, while 317 ureteral calculi patients who were admitted from January 2016 to December 2016 were included in the validation group. The independent risk factors of ureteral calculi associated with urosepsis were screened using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses. The corresponding nomogram prediction model was drawn according to the regression coefficients. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curves and the GiViTI calibration belts were used to estimate the discrimination and calibration of the prediction model, respectively.RESULTS: Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the five risk factors of gender, mean computed tomography(CT) attenuation value of hydronephrosis, functional solitary kidney, urine white blood cell(WBC) count and urine nitrite were independent risk factors of ureteral calculi associated with urosepsis. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the development group and validation group were 0.913 and 0.874 respectively, suggesting that the new prediction model had good discrimination capacity. P-values of the GiViTI calibration test of the two groups were 0.247 and 0.176 respectively, and the 95% CIs of GiViTI calibration belt in both groups did not cross the diagonal bisector line. Therefore the predicted probability of the model was consistent with the actual probability which suggested that the calibration of the prediction model in both groups were perfect and prediction model had strong concordance performance.CONCLUSION: The individualized prediction model for patients with ureteral calculi can facilitate improved screening and early identification of patients having higher risk of urosepsis.

Nomogram for predicting risk factor of urosepsis in patients with diabetes after percutaneous nephrolithotomy

Abstract:Background Urosepsis is an infectious complication after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). This study aimed to analyze the perioperative factors related to urosepsis after PCNL for upper urinary calculi and establish a nomogram to predict the probability of postoperative urosepsis based on the risk factors. Methods The Clinical data of one-stage PCNL for upper urinary stones in patients already diagnosed with type 2 diabetes between June 2010 and June 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups according to whether urosepsis occurred after surgery, and univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses evaluated the risk factors for urosepsis. Moreover, the corresponding nomogram prediction model was determined by the regression coefficient. Results All 366 patients with diabetes underwent one-stage PCNL. Seventy-one (19.4%) patients had urosepsis after surgery, and their hospitalization time was longer than that of patients without urosepsis. Moreover, the incidence of non-infection-related complications was higher. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed four independent risk factors associated with postoperative urosepsis, including positive urine nitrite (odds ratio [OR] = 3.326, P = 0.007), positive urine culture (OR = 2.213, P = 0.023), intraoperative hypotension (OR = 8.968, P < 0.001), and staghorn calculi (OR = 3.180, P = 0.002). The above independent risk factors were used as variables to construct the nomogram. The nomogram model was internally validated. The calculated concordance index was 0.824. The Hosmer–Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test was performed ( P = 0.972 > 0.05). The area under the curve of this model was 0.831, indicating that the nomogram model had good accuracy in predicting the probability of urosepsis in patients who underwent PCNL with diabetes and had good consistency with the actual risk. Conclusion Positive urine culture, positive urine nitrite, staghorn calculi, and intraoperative hypotension were independent risk factors for urosepsis in patients who underwent one-stage PCNL with diabetes. The new nomogram could accurately assess the risk of urosepsis after PCNL in patients with diabetes.

Abstract:Diabetes mellitus history, higher stone burden, longer operation time, increased intraoperative irrigation rate, and infectious stone composition are identified as independent risk factors to affect the development of urosepsis after one-phase percutaneous nephrolithotomy for upper urinary tract calculi. A nomogram based on these perioperative clinical independent risk factors for urosepsis could be used to predict the risk of urosepsis following PCNL.

Abstract:BackgroundUrinary tract infection (UTI) is very common in patients with urolithiasis, which makes the treatment of urolithiasis complicated, even dangerous. The objective of this study was to determine the risk factors for UTI in patients with urolithiasis.MethodsEight hundred six patients with urolithiasis were retrospectively evaluated in the fourth affiliated hospital of China Medical University. All patients admitted to the study were divided into either a UTI infection group or a non-infection group. Sex, age, smoking, stone shape, alcohol consumption, position of stones, and presence of obstruction were used as exposure factors for the cross-sectional study.ResultsOne hundred seventy-eight patients (22.0%) had UTI. Through a urine culture test, gram-negative bacilli were the most common pathogen, followed by gram-positive bacilli and fungi.ConclusionsSex, age, obstruction, stone shape, and multiple sites of stones could be considered the independent factors for UTI in patients with urolithiasis; smoking and drinking had no statistically significant correlation with the condition. Gram-negative bacilli are the most common pathogen in UTI in patients with urolithiasis.

Risk Factors for Sepsis in Patients with Struvite Stones Following Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy

Abstract:Purpose To describe the clinical characteristics of struvite stones and determine the preoperative predictors of sepsis in struvite patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). Methods A retrospective study of patients who underwent PCNL between April 2011 and March 2018 was performed. The data of the struvite stones and non-struvite stones groups were compared following propensity score matching. Subsequently, the struvite stones group was sub-divided for further analysis according to the Sepsis-3 definition: non-sepsis and sepsis groups. Results After matching based on age, gender, BMI, and number of access tracts, the comparative analysis showed that staghorn calculi and higher Guy's stone score were more frequently observed in non-struvite stone patients (n = 97), while a history of urolithiasis surgery (56.70%), preoperative broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy (53.61%), positive preoperative urine culture (55.67%), and sepsis (35.05%) after surgery were more common in patients (n = 97) with struvite stones (all P values < 0.05). Eighteen (18.56%) patients presented with multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteriuria. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the preoperative presence of MDR bacteriuria (OR = 3.203; P = 0.043) and increased serum creatinine (OR = 3.963; P = 0.010) were independent risk predictors of sepsis. The two factors were used to construct a nomogram to predict the probability of sepsis. The nomogram was well calibrated and had moderate discriminative ability (concordance index: 0.711). Conclusion Our study revealed that patients with struvite stones were associated with a significantly high risk of calculi recurrence and sepsis after surgery. The presence of MDR bacteriuria preoperatively was a reliable factor to predict sepsis.

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the potential risk factors that affect the development of urosepsis following uroscopic minimally invasive lithotripsy and to develop a nomogram that predicts the probability of postoperative urosepsis. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data from patients that underwent percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PCNL) or ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URL) between January 2018 and December 2019. The enrolled patients were grouped twice according to systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) and quick sequential organ failure assessment (qSOFA). After univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses, we identified the independent predictive factors affecting the development of postoperative SIRS and urosepsis, and built the nomograms. Results: From January 2018 to December 2019, 1959 patients underwent PCNL or URL, of whom 236 patients were accorded with the inclusion criteria. Of all 236 patients, 64 (27.12%) patients developed postoperative SIRS, and 17 (7.20%) patients developed postoperative urosepsis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that positive preoperative urine culture (PUC+) (OR = 2.331, P = 0.044), procalcitonin (PCT) (OR = 1.093, P = 0.037), C-reactive protein (CRP) (OR = 1.017, P < 0.001), and neutrophil ratio (NEUT%) (OR = 1.091, P = 0.004) of postoperative were independent predictors of SIRS, and PCT (OR = 1.017, P = 0.003) and CRP (OR = 1.080, P < 0.001) were independent predictors of urosepsis. Additionally, the nomograms demonstrated good accuracy in predicting SIRS and urosepsis with a C-index of 0.884 (95% CI: 0.835-0.934) and 0.941 (95% CI: 0.885-0.996), respectively. Conclusions: The nomograms achieved the prediction of SIRS and urosepsis after uroscopic minimally invasive lithotripsy. Using this model, the risk of SIRS or urosepsis for an individual patient can be determined, which facilitates early diagnosis and rational treatment.
Analysis and prediction of postoperative recurrence of unilateral upper ureteral calculi in 243 cases (nomogram)

Abstract:Objective: This study aimed to identify the risk factors for postoperative recurrence of unilateral upper ureteral calculi and develop a predictive nomogram. Patients and Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 243 patients diagnosed with unilateral upper ureteral calculi who were treated at our hospital between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2018. Patients were divided into two groups: recurrence or non-recurrence cohort. Differences in age, gender, smoking and/or drinking habit, laterality, stone diameter, ureteral stricture, stone incarceration, urinary tract infection, surgical intervention, operation time, body mass index, and metabolic syndrome were analyzed. Discrete risk factors were screened, and a nomogram was developed to predict the probability of stone recurrence. Results: The study found that the recurrence of ureteral calculi was associated with factors including stone diameter, ureteral stricture, stone incarceration, surgical intervention, operation time, metabolic syndrome, body mass index, triglycerides, diabetes, and high blood pressure ( p < 0.05). Ureteral stricture, surgical intervention, metabolic syndrome, and triglycerides were found to be discrete risk factors for stone recurrence ( p < 0.05). In addition, the study revealed that the stone recurrence rate of metabolic syndrome patients was significantly elevated ( p < 0.05), as demonstrated by the survival curve. Lastly, using the nomogram, with an area under the curve value of 0.929, the recurrence rate of ureteral calculi was predicted. Conclusions: The study identified that preoperative ureteral stricture, laparoscopic ureterolithotomy, metabolic syndrome, and triglycerides are closely related to postoperative recurrence of ureteral calculi. The nomogram developed in this study can be used as a predictive tool for the recurrence rate of ureteral calculi.

Abstract:Background: To develop and evaluate a nomogram for predicting impacted ureteral stones using some simple and easily available clinical features. Methods: From June 2019 to July 2022, 480 patients who underwent ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL) for ureteral calculi were enrolled in the study. From the eligible study population between June 2019 and December 2020, a training and validation set was randomly generated in a 7:3 ratio. To further evaluate the generalization performance of the nomogram, we performed an additional validation using the data from January 2021 to July 2022. Lasso regression analysis was used to identify the most useful predictive features. Subsequently, a multivariate logistic regression algorithm was applied to select independent predictive features. The predictive performance of the nomogram was assessed using Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves, calibration curves and decision Curve Analysis (DCA). The Hosmer-Lemeshow Test was utilized to evaluate the overall goodness of fit of the nomogram. Results: Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that flank pain, hydronephrosis, stone length/width, HU below (Hounsfield unit density of the ureter center below the stone), HU above/below (HU above divided by HU below) and UWT (ureteral wall thickness) were ascertained as independent predictors of impacted ureteral stones. The nomogram showed outstanding performance within the training dataset, with the area under the curve (AUC) of 0.907. Moreover, the AUC was 0.874 in the validation dataset. The ROC curve, calibration curve, DCA curve and Hosmer-Lemeshow Test suggested that the nomogram maintains excellent clinical applicability and demonstrates commendable performance. Similar results were achieved in the test dataset as well. Conclusions: We established a nomogram that can be effectively used for preoperative diagnosis of impacted ureteral stones, which is of great significance for the treatment of this disease.

Abstract:Background: Ureteral calculi are a common diagnosis in the field of urology worldwide, and they represent a prevalent subtype of urolithiasis. Ureteroscopic stone surgery is the cornerstone treatment, but postoperative urinary tract infection (UTI) remains a clinical concern. Our study aims to analyse specific risk factors associated with postoperative UTIs following ureteroscopic stone surgery. Methods: We conducted a case-control study and collected clinical data from 145 patients who underwent ureteroscopic lithotripsy at our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to investigate risk factors for postoperative UTI. Receiver operating characteristic curves were plotted, and area under the curve (AUC) was calculated to evaluate the predictive value of each factor. Results: Forty patients developed UTI after ureteroscopic stone surgery. Compared with the control group, the case group showed significant differences in stone size, history of diabetes mellitus and preoperative urine culture results (p < 0.05). Multivariable binary logistic regression analysis revealed that stone size (Odds Ratio (OR) = 1.952, p = 0.010), history of diabetes mellitus (OR = 2.438, p = 0.038) and preoperative urine culture (OR = 2.914, p = 0.009) were independent risk factors for postoperative UTI. The AUC values of stone size, history of diabetes mellitus and preoperative urine culture were 0.680, 0.627 and 0.630, respectively. The AUC of the combined prediction was 0.756. Conclusions: This study identified risk factors for postoperative UTI following ureteroscopic stone surgery and emphasised the importance of stone size, history of diabetes mellitus and preoperative urine culture in the diagnosis.
A model for predicting the systemic inflammatory response syndrome after flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy for upper urinary tract calculi

Abstract:Objective To analyze the risk factors that affect severe infection following flexible ureteroscope Holmium laser lithotripsy for upper urinary tract calculus,and to construct the regression model and nomogram for predicting the probability of postoperative SIRS.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data from 457 cases (male 302 and female 155) of upper urinary calculi treated by flexible ureteroscopy from January 2014 to May 2016,with mean age of 49.9 (ranged 20-76) years.The mean maximum size of stones was (16.5 ± 3.0) mm (ranged 12-22rmm).There were 51 cases (11.2％) with a recent infectious febrile history related to stones.The patients were divided into two groups as patients developing SIRS or not.Univariate and multivariate statistical analyses were performed to determine factors affecting the development of postoperative SIRS,and then a nomogram was built based on regression coefficients.Results The incidence of SIRS after flexible ureteroscopic lithtripsy was 5.9％ (27/457).Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified febrile history related to urinary stones (OR =1.5569,P =0.009),without preoperative placement of ureteral stent (OR =1.4004,P =0.004),small-caliber (F 13-14) ureteral access sheath (OR =1.1120,P =0.016),endoscopic signs of infection (OR =2.0176,P =0.000) and infectious stones (OR =1.0981,P =0.013) as independent risk factors for postoperative SIRS.The concordance index was 0.845 in the nomogram model sample and 0.79 in the validation sample.Conclusions Febrile history related to urinary stones,without preoperative placement of ureteral stent,small-caliber ureteral access sheath,endoscopic signs of infection and infectious stones would be independent risk factors to predict SIRS after flexible ureteroscope holmium laser lithtripsy.A nomogram based on perioperative clinical factors could be used to predict the risk of SIRS.

Abstract:Background The postoperative sepsis is a latent fatal complication for both flexible ureteroscopy (fURS) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL). An effective predictive model constructed by readily available clinical markers is urgently needed to reduce postoperative adverse events caused by infection. This study aims to determine the pre-operative predictors of sepsis in patients with unilateral, solitary, and proximal ureteral stones after fURS and PNL. Methods We retrospectively enrolled 910 patients with solitary proximal ureteral stone with stone size 10–20 mm who underwent fURS or PNL from Tongji Hospital's database, including 412 fURS cases and 498 PNL cases. We used the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression and multivariate logistic regression analysis to identify the risk factors for sepsis. Finally, a nomogram was assembled utilizing these risk factors. Results In this study, 49 patients (5.4%) developed sepsis after fURS or PNL surgery. Lasso regression showed postoperative sepsis was associated with gender (female), pre-operative fever, serum albumin (<35 g/L), positive urine culture, serum WBC (≥10,000 cells/ml), serum neutrophil, positive urine nitrite and operation type (fURS). The multivariate logistic analysis indicated that positive urine culture (odds ratio [ OR ] = 5.9092, 95% CI [2.6425–13.2140], p < 0.0001) and fURS ( OR = 1.9348, 95% CI [1.0219–3.6631], p = 0.0427) were independent risk factors of sepsis and albumin ≥ 35g/L ( OR = 0.4321, 95% CI [0.2054–0.9089], p = 0.0270) was independent protective factor of sepsis. A nomogram was constructed and exhibited favorable discrimination (area under receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.78), calibration [Hosmer–Lemeshow (HL) test p = 0.904], and net benefits displayed by decision curve analysis (DCA). Conclusions Patients who underwent fURS compared to PNL or have certain pre-operative characteristics, such as albumin <35 g/L and positive urine culture, are more likely to develop postoperative sepsis. Cautious preoperative evaluation and appropriate operation type are crucial to reducing serious infectious events after surgery, especially for patients with solitary, unilateral, and proximal ureteral stones sized 10–20 mm.

Abstract:Abstract Background To develop and validate a practical nomogram for predicting the probability of patients with impacted ureteral stone. Methods Between June 2020 to March 2021, 214 single ureteral stones received ureteroscopy lithotripsy (URSL) were selected in development group. While 82 single ureteral stones received URSL between April 2021 to May 2021 were included in validation group. Independent factors for predicting impacted ureteral stone were screened by univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis. The relationship between preoperative factors and stone impaction was modeled according to the regression coefficients. Discrimination and calibration were estimated by area under the receiver operating characteristic (AUROC) curve and calibration curve respectively. Clinical usefulness of the nomogram was evaluated by decision curve analysis. Results Age, ipsilateral stone treatment history, hydronephrosis and maximum ureteral wall thickness (UWT max ) at the portion of stone were identified as independent predictors for impacted stone. The AUROC curve of development and validation group were 0.915 and 0.882 respectively. Calibration curve of two groups showed strong concordance between the predicted and actual probabilities. Decision curve analysis showed that the predictive nomogram had a superior net benefit than UWT max for all examined probabilities. Conclusions We developed and validated an individualized model to predict impacted ureteral stone prior to surgery. Through this prediction model, urologists can select an optimal treatment method and decrease intraoperative and postoperative complications for patients with impacted ureteral calculus.

Development and validation of a predictive model for post-percutaneous nephrolithotomy urinary sepsis: a multicenter retrospective study

Abstract:Background: The objective of this retrospective, multicenter study was to analyze the factors associated with the development of urogenital sepsis after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and to establish a nomogram prediction model of urogenital sepsis after PCNL. Methods: A total of 2066 postoperative PCNL patients were included from three medical institutions: Zunyi Medical University Hospital, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital Guizhou Hospital, and Fenggang County People's Hospital. Clinical data of 1623 patients from the Department of Urology of Zunyi Medical University Hospital were randomized into a training cohort (Zunyi training cohort, N.=1139) and an internal validation cohort (Zunyi internal validation cohort, N.=484) using computer generated random numbers in a 7:3 ratio. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed on the compliance training cohort to identify risk factors for urogenital sepsis after PCNL and to develop a column line graph prediction model based on these risk factors. Finally, Zunyi internal validation cohort and two external validation cohorts (Guiyang external cohort, N.=306; Fenggang external cohort, N.=137) were used to validate the prognostic accuracy of the nomogram prediction model. R4.2.2 statistical software was used for all statistical data analyses. Results: Multifactorial logistic regression analysis of the Zuiyi training cohort (N.=1139) identified five independent risk factors associated with urogenital sepsis after PCNL, including urine culture positivity (odds ratio [OR]=5.29, P<0.001), urine nitrite positivity (OR=5.97, P<0.001), operation time ≥60 min (OR=4.4, P=0.0037), residual stone (OR=5.18, P<0.001), and size ≥30 mm (OR=3.22, P=0.0086). Nomogram were constructed based on these independent risk factors. The area under the curve (AUC) of the nomogram model was 0.907 in the in-progress sample and 0.948 after internal validation. The AUC of the model was 0.855 and 0.804 after external validation of the Guiyang external validation cohort and the Fenggang validation cohort, respectively, indicating good discrimination ability. The calibration curves of the nomogram showed good agreement, and the decision curve analysis demonstrated high clinical utility. Conclusions: Based on the clinical independent risk factors such as positive urine culture, positive urine nitrite, operation time ≥60min, stone residue, stone size ≥30mm, nomogram prediction model of urogenital sepsis after PCNL was established, which can provide reference for urologists to develop preoperative evaluation and treatment strategies for patients with percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

Abstract:Abstract To identify whether urolithiasis with or without hydronephrosis has an impact on acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients with urinary tract infection (UTI). This study aimed to identify whether urolithiasis with or without hydronephrosis has an impact on AKI in patients with UTI. This retrospective study enrolled hospitalized UTI patients who underwent imaging in an acute care setting from January 2006 to April 2019. Of the 1113 participants enrolled, 191 (17.2%) had urolithiasis and 76 (6.8%) had ureteral stone complicated with hydronephrosis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that in UTI patients with urolithiasis, the presence of ureteral stone with concomitant hydronephrosis was an independent risk factor for AKI (odds ratio [OR] 2.299, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.112–4.755, P = 0.025). In addition, urolithiasis was associated with an increased risk for AKI (OR 2.451, 95% CI 1.369–4.389, P = 0.003) in UTI patients without hydronephrosis. The presence of ureteral stone with hydronephrosis increases the risk for AKI of UTI patients with urolithiasis, and urolithiasis remains a risk factor of AKI in UTI patients without hydronephrosis.

Development of a Predictive Nomogram for Sepsis in Patients with Urolithiasis-Related Obstructive Pyelonephritis

Abstract:Background and Objectives: In patients with urolithiasis-related obstructive pyelonephritis (UROP), sepsis represents a critical and concerning complication that can substantially increase the mortality rate. This study aimed to identify the risk factors for sepsis in UROP patients and to develop a predictive nomogram model. Materials and Methods: We analyzed data from 148 patients who met the UROP criteria and were admitted to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2021. The primary outcome evaluated was the incidence of sepsis, as defined by the most recent Sepsis-3 guidelines. To identify potential risk factors for sepsis, we employed the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression technique. Subsequently, we utilized multivariable logistic regression to construct the predictive model. Results: There was a total of 102 non-sepsis cases and 46 sepsis cases. Risk factors for sepsis in multivariable analysis were a history of diabetes mellitus (DM) (OR = 4.24, p = 0.007), shock index (SI) (×10-1) (OR = 1.55, p < 0.001), C-reactive protein (CRP) (mg/dL) (OR = 1.08, p = 0.005), and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) (×10) (OR = 1.58, p = 0.007). The nomogram exhibited an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.890 (95% CI 0.830-0.949). Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that patients with UROP who have DM, higher SI, higher NLR, and elevated CRP levels are significantly more likely to develop sepsis. These insights may aid in risk stratification, and it is imperative that clinicians promptly initiate treatment for those identified as high risk.

Abstract:Background: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the common causes of sepsis. However, nomograms predicting the sepsis risk in UTI patients have not been comprehensively researched. The goal of this study was to establish and validate a nomogram to predict the probability of sepsis in UTI patients. Methods: Patients diagnosed with UTI were extracted from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III database. These patients were randomly divided into training and validation cohorts. Independent prognostic factors for UTI patients were determined using forward stepwise logistic regression. A nomogram containing these factors was established to predict the sepsis incidence in UTI patients. The validity of our nomogram model was determined using multiple indicators, including the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), correction curve, Hosmer-Lemeshow test, integrated discrimination improvement (IDI), net reclassification improvement (NRI), and decision-curve analysis (DCA). Results: This study included 6,551 UTI patients. Stepwise regression analysis revealed that the independent risk factors for sepsis in UTI patients were congestive heart failure, diabetes, liver disease, fluid electrolyte disorders, APSIII, neutrophils, lymphocytes, red blood cell distribution width, urinary protein, urinary blood, and microorganisms. The nomogram was then constructed and validated. The AUC, NRI, IDI and DCA of the nomogram all showed better performance than traditional APSIII score. The calibration curve and Hosmer-Lemeshow test results indicate that the nomogram was well-calibrated. Improved NRI and IDI values indicate that our nomogram scoring system is superior to other commonly used ICU scoring systems. The DCA curve indicates that the DCA map of the nomogram has good clinical application ability. Conclusion: This study identified the independent risk factors of sepsis in UTI patients and used them to construct a prediction model. The present findings may provide clinical reference information for preventing sepsis in UTI patients.
