Experience and Achievements of the Publication Form of"Special Issue of Certain Disease"Implementing in Dermatology Bulletin 2017-2021

Abstract:With the progress of science and technology,the establishment of global network database and the arrival of the new media era,periodicals whose main content is publishing secondary literature have been greatly impacted. The appeal and attention of content continues to decline,and the publishing model can no longer keep pace with social developments. Therefore, relevant journals seek change and transformation to varying degrees. Dermatology Bulletin is faced with the same dilemma. In 2015,the editorial department began its formal transformation. After multiple research,discussion and periodic practice,it explored the form of “special issue for certain disease”,the mode of reporting hot topic in the field of dermatology.The theme issue published from 2015 to 2017 not only attracted wide attention,but also led the academic trend,and the official name change was completed in 2017.The journal has always adhered to the road of“special issue for certain disease”. By the end of 2022,48 special issues with different themes focus on dermatology have been completed. The paper summarizes the exploration,practice,and achievements of the journal in recent years.
