Research on the Historical Materialism Research Paradigm of Marx's Political Economy

Abstract:Historical materialism was the most important discovery of Marx’s life. It was an important weapon in Marx’s analysis of social and economic problems. and also an important paradigm for Marx to engage in political economic research. In the positive sublation of the classical paradigm of empirical abstraction of “economic facts”and the speculative paradigm of subjective imagination of“economic behavior”,Marx established the research paradigm of historical materialism and launched a scientific dissection of“material life relations”. With historical materialism as the internal mode of thinking,Marx scientifically determined the research object,research method,research content and research task of political economics,and profoundly responded to the“historical mystery”that had troubled mankind for a long time. Thus,Marx’s political economics can be called“a historical science”in essence,and Marx’s title of“historical scientist”is also worthy of its name. In the new era,socialist political economics with Chinese characteristics should continue to follow the research paradigm of historical materialism. Based on the“land of China”and taking the contemporary“facts of China”as the logical starting point; we explain the“China road”and take the response to the“China problem”as the theoretical task; we embody“Chinese characteristics”; we take“socialism”as the development principle; and we serve the“Chinese people”and take the responsibility of leading the“trend of the times”. On this basis,we“write the paper on the land of the motherland”,and constantly open up a new realm of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics.
