Research progress on the psychological status of medical staff in the context of major public health events/

Abstract:Objective: To explore the research status, hotspots, and future development trends of the psychological status of medical staff under the background of major public health events, so as to provide a reference for future research. Methods: Retrieve the literature in the Web of Science core collection database from 2020 to 2022 on the psychological status of medical staff in COVID-19, use CiteSpace software to conduct visual analysis on the country/region, institution, author, and keywords of the publication, and based on the visualization Atlas analyzes and discusses research in this field. Results: A total of 792 papers were included. The number of publications in this field has been on the rise in the past three years; there is less collaboration between different countries/regions, institutions, and authors; research hotspots include the current situation, influencing factors, and interventions of mental health of healthcare workers; the expansion of research objects and the exploration of intervention theories have become the trend in this field. Conclusion: The research on the psychological conditions of medical staff in the context of major public health emergencies is still in its infancy, and it is recommended to strengthen international communication and cooperation to promote the deepening and development of research in this field in order to improve the psychological health of medical staff and guarantee the quality of health care services.
