Abstract:To review the communication characteristics of social media in public health emergencies and their impact on public risk perception. Content analysis was used to summarize the concept, communication characteristics of social media and their impacts on public risk perception in public health emergencies, in order to better play the role of social media and effectively regulate public risk perception. Social media information communication is characterized by strong interaction, information quantization and uneven information quality, which have different impacts on public risk perception in different stages of public health emergencies. We should make full use of these characteristics, strengthen supervision and release timely accurate risk information to stabilize the level of public risk perception.
