Abstract:This paper is devoted to the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of solutions for a fractional p-Kirchhoff equation with the critical Sobolev exponent involving competitive nonlinearities as follows: $$\begin{aligned}&m\left( \left\| u\right\| ^{p}\right) \left( \left( -\Delta \right) _{p}^{s}u+V\left( x\right) \left| u\right| ^{p-2}u\right) \\&\quad =\lambda f\left( x\right) \left| u\right| ^{r-2}u-g\left( x\right) \left| u\right| ^{q-2}u+\left| u\right| ^{p_{s}^{*}-2}u\quad \text{ in }\ \mathbb {R}^{N} \end{aligned}$$ with $$\begin{aligned} \left\| u\right\| =\left( \int _{\mathbb {R}^{2N}}\frac{\left| u\left( x\right) -u\left( y\right) \right| ^{p}}{\left| x-y\right| ^{N+sp}}dxdy+\int _{\mathbb {R}^{N}}V\left( x\right) \left| u\right| ^{p}dx\right) ^{1/p}, \end{aligned}$$ where $$\lambda $$ is a real parameter, $$p_{s}^{*}=\frac{Np}{N-sp}$$ is the critical Sobolev exponent for $$0<s<1<p<q<r<p_{s}^{*}$$ , $$m(\cdot )$$ is a Kirchhoff function, $$\left( -\Delta \right) _{p}^{s}$$ is the fractional p-Laplacian and V(x), f(x), g(x) are three positive weights satisfying some structure conditions. By using the concentration-compactness principle in the frame of fractional Sobolev spaces, we prove that the above-mentioned problem admits at least one nontrivial solution for $$\lambda $$ sufficiently small. Furthermore, the existence of infinitely many solutions for the critical case is obtained by using Krasnoselskii’s genus theory, and as a byproduct the nonexistence of solutions is also described.
