Abstract:The species of three genera of the tribe Iphiaulacini, i. e. Aniphiaulax Kokoujev, 1899, Hybogaster Szepligeti, 1906 and Iphiaulax Foerster, 1862, are revised in China. Two new species, H. zebripterae Wang et Chen, sp. nov. and I. wuhainensis Wang et Chen, sp. nov., are described and illustrated in detail. Two species, I. impeditor (Kokoujev, 1898) and I. mactator (Klug, 1817), are reported for the first time in China. I. mactator was reared from the larvae of Acanthocinus aedilis Linn. (Coleoptera) in Jilin and I. impostor (Scopoli, 1763) reared from the larvae of Saperda populnca L. (Coleoptera) in Liaoning and Shanxi, China. Key to the Chinese genera of tribe Iphiaulacini and keys to the Chinese species of Hybogaster Szepligeti and Iphiaulax Foerster are provided. The type specimens are deposited in the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China (ZJUH). 1. Hybogaster zebripterae Wang et Chen, sp. nov. (Fig. 1) Length of body 13.5 mm, fore wing 14.6 mm, ovipositor sheath 3.4 mm. Colour: Head pale yellow except frons, vertex and temple; leg, thorax and abdomen yellow; wing membrane yellow basally and smokish brown apically, fore wing with blackish-grey spots medially. Head: Antenna with 115-120 segments; first flagellomere 0.8 times longer thanits maximum width, 1.2 and 1.5 times longer than the second and third ones, respectively; the latter 0.6 times longer than its maximum width; median flagellomeres as long as its maximum width; transversal medial clypeal carina with a row sparse short setae; height of clypeus: inter-tentorial distance: tentorio-ocular distance = 3: 11: 6; face with dense short setae, width of face: width of head: maximum length of eye in dorsal view = 17: 15: 29; frons weakly impressed medially; shortest distance between posterior ocelli: diameter of posterior ocellus: shortest distance between posterior ocellus and eye = 3: 2: 9; vertex smooth and shiny with dense long setae. Mesosoma: Length of mesosoma 1.5 times as long as its maximum height, smooth and shiny with sparse long setae; notauli shallowly impressed along its entirely length; scutellar sulcus relatively wide and deep, weakly crenulate; propodeum glabrous, with sparse setae, but relatively densely setose laterally. Wing: Length of fore wing veins SR1: 3-SR: r = 35: 30: 5; vein 1-SR+M slightly bent basally; length of fore wing veins 2-SR: 3-SR: r-m = 10: 30: 15; vein cu-a weakly postfurcal. Hind wing: length of veins SC+R1: 2-SC+R: 1r-m = 16: 2: 17. Leg: Length of fore femur: tibia: tarsus = 20: 23: 29; length of hind femur: tibia: basitarsus = 30: 43: 13, 3.2, 6.1 and 4.9 times their maximum width, respectively; tibia of hind leg with longitudinal groove medially. Metasoma: First metasomal tergite 1.3 times longer than its maximum apical width, strongly raised area mid-posteriorly with complete dorsal carinae and striate-sculptured; second tergite with medio-basal diverging sublateral longitudinal grooves,the remainder deeply striate-sculptured; suture between second and third metasomal tergites wide, deep and crenulate; third tergite with smooth raised area antero-laterally; fourth-seventh tergites smooth and shiny, with dense setae; hypopygium weakly acute apically, slightly extending beyond apex of metasoma. Holotype: ♀, Fujian: Longhai, 12-Ⅷ-1960, JIN Gen-tao, LIN Yang-ming. Diagnosis: This species is similar to H. haundrawensis (Cameron, 1907), but can be separated from the latter by the following characters: leg, thorax and abdomen dark yellow; notauli shallowly impressed along its entirely length; median area of fore wing with blackish-grey spots; and second tergite with medio-basal diverging sublateral longitudinal grooves, and the remainder deeply striate-sculptured. 2. Iphiaulax wuhainensis Wang et Chen, sp. nov. (Fig. 2) Length of body 6.8 mm, fore wing 6.2 mm, ovipositor sheath 1.6 mm. Colour: Head orange yellow except vertex black; thorax brown, middle and lateral lobes of mesoscutum with blackish spots, prothorax pale yellow laterally; legs blackish brown except fore tibia and tarsi dark yellow; abdomen uniformly orange yellow; fore and hind wings membrane smokish grey. Head: Antenna with 50 segments; apical flagellomere acute; first flagellomere 2.1 times longer than its maximum width, 1.3 and 1.4 times longer than the second and third ones, respectively; the latter 1.1 times longer than its maximum width; transversal medial clypeal carina with a row sparse short setae; height of clypeus:inter-tentorial distance: tentorio-ocular distance = 4: 7: 8; face with dense long setae, width of face: width of head: maximum length of eye in dorsal view = 2: 1.5: 3.5; frons deeply impressed medially; shortest distance between posterior ocelli: diameter of posterior ocellus: shortest distance between posterior ocellus and eye = 2: 1: 8; vertex smooth and shiny with dense long setae. Mesosoma: Length of mesosoma 1.7 times as long as its maximum height, smooth and shiny with sparse short setae; notauli shallowly impressed along its entirely length; scutellar sulcus relatively narrow and shallow, not crenulate; propodeum glabrous medianly, but relatively sparsely long setose laterally. Wing: Length of fore wing veins SR1: 3-SR: r = 35: 22: 8; vein 1-SR+M slightly straight; length of fore wing veins 2-SR: 3-SR: r-m = 11: 22: 10; vein cu-a weakly interstitial. Hind wing: length of veins SC+R1: 2-SC+R: 1r-m = 10: 6: 16. Leg: Length of fore femur: tibia: tarsus = 24: 28: 11; length of hind femur: tibia: basitarsus = 30: 51: 20, 3.0, 8.3 and 7.0 times their maximum width, respectively; tibia of hind leg with longitudinal groove medially. Metasoma: First metasomal tergite 1.3 times longer than its maximum apical width, strongly raised area apical-medianly, without mid-longitudinal carinae; second tergite smooth and shiny, with medio-basal diverging sublateral longitudinal grooves; suture between second and third metasomal tergites narrow, deep and crenulate; fourth-seventh tergites smooth and shiny, with dense setae laterally. Holotype: ♀, Inner Mongolia: Wuhai, Desert, 21- Ⅷ -2000, MA Yun, No. 200100473. Diagnosis: This species is similar to I. impeditor (Kokoujev), but can be separated from the latter by the following characters: the vertex black; the middle and lateral lobes of mesoscutum with blackish spots; vein cu-a of forewing distinctly interstitial; metasomal tergites relatively slender, and second metasomal tergite with rather deep sublateral grooves.
