Abstract:In the framework of heavy quark effective theory we use QCD sum rules to calculate the masses of the ¯cs (0+, 1+) and (1+, 2+) excited states. The results are consistent with that the states DsJ (2317) and DsJ (2460) observed by BABAR and CLEO are the 0+ and 1+ states in the jl =12+doublet.

Abstract:QCD sum rules are employed to determine whether the $X(3872)$ can be described as a mixed state that couples to ${J}^{PC}={1}^{++}$ charmonium hybrid and $\overline{D}{D}^{*}$ molecular currents. After calculating the mixed correlator of hybrid and molecular currents, we formulate the sum rule in terms of a mixing parameter that interpolates between the pure molecular and hybrid scenarios. As the mixing parameter is increased from the pure molecular case, the predicted mass increases until it reaches a maximum value in good agreement with the $X(3872)$ and the resulting sum-rule analysis appears more robust than the pure molecular case.

Abstract:We construct the interpolating currents for the fourteen p-wave excited heavy baryons in the framework of heavy-quark effective theory (HQET). At the leading order in the 1/mQ expansion these interpolating currents do not mix different states with the same JP with each other. We use QCD sum rule to calculate the masses of the p-wave excited J=1/2 spin doublet heavy baryons in the mQ→∞ limit. We discuss some implications of our results.

Abstract:We systematically construct I (J(P)) = 0(3(+)) six-quark local interpolating currents without derivative operators. We discuss the best choice of operator and select three Delta-Delta-like operators to perform QCD sum rule analyses to calculate the mass of the d*(2380). The mass extracted from this analysis is M-d* = 2.4 +/- 0.2 GeV, consistent with the d*(2380) mass observed by the WASA detector at COSY. We also obtain a sum rule lower mass bound M-d* > 2.25 GeV. We also consider the effect of mixing of singlet dibaryon fields with the same quantum numbers, and perform the QCD sum rule analysis of the mixed interpolating current and extract the mass of the d*(2380) and its lower mass bound. With optimized mixing parameters, we find that the mixed current does not change the numerical result significantly.

Abstract:We study the D-wave (c) over bars heavy meson doublets (1(-), 2(-)) and (2(-), 3(-)) using the method of QCD sum rule in the framework of heavy quark effective theory. Choosing the same threshold values.c around 2.7 Gev, we calculate the masses of the 1(-) and 3(-) states. They are m(D*s1) = 2.81 +/- 0.10 GeV and m(D*s3) = 2.85 +/- 0.08 GeV, consistent with the newly observed D*(s1)(2860) and D*(s3)(2860) states by LHCb. The masses of their 2-partners are calculated to be 2.82 +/- 0.10 and 2.81 +/- 0.08 GeV. The mass splittings within the same doublet are calculated to be m(Ds2) - m(Ds1) = 0.016 +/- 0.007 GeV and m(D*s3) - m(D's2) = 0.039 +/- 0.014 GeV.

Abstract:We study (Q) over barQ (q) over barq and (Q) over bar qQ (q) over bar states as mixed states in QCD sum rules. By calculating the two-point correlation functions of pure states of their corresponding currents, we review the mass and coupling constant predictions of J(PC) = 1(++), 1(--), and 1(-+) states. By calculating the two-point mixed correlation functions of (Q) over bar QQ (q) over barq and (Q) over bar qQ (q) over bar currents, we estimate the mass and coupling constants of the corresponding "physical state" that couples to both (Q) over barQ (q) over barq and (Q) over bar qQ (q) over bar currents. Our results suggest that for 1(++) states, the (Q) over barQ (q) over barq and (Q) over bar qQ (q) over bar components are more likely to mix, while for 1(--) and 1(-+) states, there is less mixing between (Q) over barQ (q) over barq and (Q) over bar qQ (q) over bar. Our results suggest the Y series of states have more complicated components.

Abstract:QCD Laplace sum-rules are used to calculate axial vector (JPC=1++) charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses. Previous sum-rule studies of axial vector heavy quark hybrids did not include the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important in the 1−− and 0−+ channels. An updated analysis of axial vector heavy quark hybrids is performed, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate, yielding mass predictions of 5.13 GeV for hybrid charmonium and 11.32 GeV for hybrid bottomonium. The charmonium hybrid mass prediction disfavours a hybrid interpretation of the X(3872), if it has JPC=1++, in agreement with the findings of other theoretical approaches. It is noted that QCD sum-rule results for the 1−−, 0−+ and 1++ channels are in qualitative agreement with the charmonium hybrid multiplet structure observed in recent lattice calculations.

Abstract:Axial vector (J(PC) = 1(++)) charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are determined via QCD Laplace sum-rules. Previous sum-rule studies in this channel did not incorporate the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important for 1(--) and 0(-+) heavy quark hybrids. An updated analysis of axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrids is presented, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate. The axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are predicted to be 5.13 and 11.32 GeV, respectively. We discuss the implications of this result for the charmonium-like 'XYZ' states and the charmonium hybrid multiplet structure observed in recent lattice calculations.

Abstract:In this article, we take the point of view that the charmed scalar meson Ds0(2317) be a tetraquark state and devote to calculate its mass within the framework of the QCD sum rules approach in the heavy quark limit. The numerical values for the mass of the Ds0(2317) are consistent with the experimental data, there must be some tetraquark component in the scalar meson Ds0(2317). Detailed discussions about the threshold parameter and Borel parameter for the multiquark states are also presented.
QCD sum rule analysis of $0^{+}$ four-quark states

Abstract:{We present a comprehensive QCD sum rules analysis at next-to-leading order for all types of $J^P=0^{+}$ four-quark states composed of $u$, $d$, and $s$ quarks. The eigenvectors of the renormalization matrix are chosen to be the renormalized four-quark operators, which can be equally interpreted as tetraquark or molecule operators. Meanwhile, the typical nonet masses given by bare tetraquark operators are lower than those given by bare molecule operators. Most of the nonet masses are around $1-2\text{GeV}$, and they can be interpreted as the $0^+$ mesons observed in experiments. We find a category of four-quark nonets with masses $\lesssim1\text{GeV}$, potentially corresponding to the light $0^+$ mesons $f_0(500)$, $K^*_0(700)$, $f_0(980)$, and $a_0(980)$. On the other hand, the possible 27-fold states are heavier than most of the nonets, with masses $\gtrsim 2\text{GeV}$. The main uncertainty arises from the factorization of high-dimensional condensates, which usually underestimates their values. To address this, we introduce deviation factors for the dimension-6, -8, and -10 condensates, and vary them over a wide range to obtain conservative estimates of the $0^+$ four-quark state masses. Some general properties of the $0^+$ light four-quark states can be derived that do not rely on precise numerical values. We also find that the ambiguity in the factorization of the dimension-8 condensate can introduce a larger discrepancy than previously estimated. As a byproduct, we propose a simple trick for renormalizing multi-quark operators at the one-loop level.

Abstract:Motivated by the similar mass splitting in light-light and heavy-light J(P) = 0(-) and J(P) = 0(+) mesons, the SU(3)-symmetry breaking effects splitting the masses in the 0(-) and 0(+) channels of the D meson are analyzed in the framework of QCD sum rules with an underlying c (q) over bar structure. We take into account operator mixing to obtain an infrared stable operator-product expansion method including complete nonperturbative and perturbative O(m(q)) corrections to the correlation function. With the same threshold for both channels, the mass splitting arising from the sum rules has the same behavior as the observed spectrum. In particular, we obtain m(Ds) - m(Dd) similar to 35 MeV in the 0(-) channel and m(Dd) - m(Ds) similar to 12 MeV in the 0(+) channel at a renormalization scale mu = 1 GeV. The splitting can be attributed to the different roles of mass effects and the parity-dependent "force" induced from nonperturbative QCD vacuum. Further analysis shows that due to this parity-dependent force it is natural that the mass gap of the two states in the 0(-) channel is larger than the 0(+) channel. When we increase the renormalization scale to mu = 1: 3 GeV the splitting remains unchanged which demonstrates a correct scale invariance. Combined with heavy quark effective theory, generalizations to other channels of charmed mesons and b-systems are briefly discussed.

Abstract:We calculate the masses of the light-quark hybrid mesons with the quantum numbers 0(++) and 0(-+) by using the QCD sum rules. Two kinds of interpolated currents with the same quantum numbers are employed. We find that approximately equal masses are predicted for the 0(++) hybrid state using the different currents, and different masses are obtained for the 0(++) hybrid state using the different currents. The prediction depends on the interaction between the gluon and the quarks in the low-lying hybrid mesons. The mixing effect on the mass of the light-quark hybrid mesons through the low-energy theorem has also been examined, and it is found that this mixing shifts the masses of the hybrid mesons and the glueball a little.

Abstract:With the identification of (D-sJ(2317),D-sJ(2460)) as the (0(+),1(+)) doublet in the heavy quark effective field theory, we derive the light-cone QCD sum rule for the coupling of an eta meson with D-sJ(2317)D-s and D-sJ(2460)D-s(*). Through eta-pi(0) mixing we calculate their pionic decay widths, which are consistent with the experimental values (or upper limits). Combining the radiative decay widths derived by Colangelo, Fazio, and Ozpineci in the same framework, we conclude that the decay patterns of D-sJ(2317, 2460) strongly support their interpretation as ordinary c (s) over bar mesons.

Abstract:We use the method of QCD sum rules to study sss¯s¯ tetraquark states of JPC = 1−− and JPC = 1+−. Our results suggest that the Y (2175) can be interpreted as an sss¯s¯ state of JPC = 1−−, and it has a partner state, whose mass is 71−48+172 MeV larger.

Abstract:Decay Widths of B 1 and B * 2 to the order O(1/m Q) in HQET Abstract We first improve the previous results on the masses of the doublets (0 + , 1 +) and (1 + , 2 +) with QCD sum rules up to the order of O(1/m Q) in HQET. With the mass matrix of the two 1 + states, we obtain the mixing angle for the two states and construct the interpolating currents which couple to only one of the two eigen states up to the order O(1/m Q). Using these results we derive the light-cone sum rules for the amplitutes of the pionic decay of B 1 and B * 2 up to the order O(1/m Q) in HQET. The O(1/m Q) terms in these amplitutes are found to be small. When applied to D 1 and D * 2 the theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental data though the theoretical uncertainty is sizable for the D system. 1 Introduction Important progress has been achieved in understanding the properties of heavy mesons composed of a heavy quark and a light quark with the development of the heavy quark effective theory (HQET) [1]. HQET provides a systematic expansion of the heavy hadron spectra and transition amplitude in terms of 1/m Q , where m Q is the heavy quark mass. Of course one has to employ some specific nonperturbative methods to arrive at the detailed predictions. Among the various nonpeturbative methods, QCD sum rules is useful to extract the low-lying hadron properties [2]. The propertes of the ground state heavy mesons have been studied with the QCD sum rules in HQET in [3], [6]. In [4] the mass of the lowest excited heavy meson doublets (2 + , 1 +) and (1 + , 0 +) were studied with QCD sum rules in the heavy quark effective theory (HQET) up to the order of O(1/m Q). The widths for pionic decays of the lowest two excited doublets (2 + , 1 +) and (1 + , 0 +) is calculated with conventional QCD sum rules in the leading order of HQET in [5]. Abstract:In this article, we assume that there exist scalar ${D}^\ast {\bar {D}}^\ast$, ${D}_s^\ast {\bar {D}}_s^\ast$, ${B}^\ast {\bar {B}}^\ast$ and ${B}_s^\ast {\bar {B}}_s^\ast$ molecular states, and study their masses using the QCD sum rules. The numerical results indicate that the masses are about $(250-500) \rm{MeV}$ above the corresponding ${D}^\ast -{\bar {D}}^\ast$, ${D}_s^\ast -{\bar {D}}_s^\ast$, ${B}^\ast -{\bar {B}}^\ast$ and ${B}_s^\ast -{\bar {B}}_s^\ast$ thresholds, the Y(4140) is unlikely a scalar ${D}_s^\ast {\bar {D}}_s^\ast$ molecular state. Abstract:After constructing the possible $J^P=0^-, 0^+, 1^-$ and $1^+$ $QQ\bar{q}\bar{q}$ tetraquark interpolating currents in a systematic way, we investigate the two-point correlation functions and extract the corresponding masses with the QCD sum rule approach. We study the $QQ\bar{q}\bar{q}$, $QQ\bar{q}\bar{s}$ and $QQ\bar{s}\bar{s}$ systems with various isospins $I=0, 1/2, 1$. Our numerical analysis indicates that the masses of doubly-bottomed tetraquark states are below the threshold of the two bottom mesons, two bottom baryons and one doubly bottomed baryon plus one anti-nucleon. Very probably these doubly-bottomed tetraquark states are stable.

Abstract:The proximity of Z(+) (4430) to the D*(D) over bar (1) threshold suggests that it may be a D*(D) over bar (1) molecular state. The D*(D) over bar (1) system has been studied dynamically from quark model, and state mixing effect is taken into account by solving the multichannel Schrodinger equation numerically. We suggest the most favorable quantum number is J(P) = 0(-), if future experiments confirm Z(+) (4430) as a loosely bound molecule state. More precise measurements of Z(+) (4430) mass and width, partial wave analysis are helpful to understand its structure. The analogous heavy flavor mesons Z(bb)(+) and Z(bc)(++) are studied as well, and the masses predicted in our model are in agreement with the predictions from potential model and QCD sum rule. We further apply our model to the D (D) over bar* and DD* system. We find the exotic DD* bound molecule does not exist, while the 1(++) D (D) over bar* bound state solution can be found only if the screening mass mu is smaller than 0.17 GeV. The state mixing effect between the molecular state and the conventional charmonium should be considered to understand the nature of X(3872).
