Abstract:The molecule of the title compound, C(22)H(26)Si(2), is centrosymmetric. The dihedral angle between the central benzene ring and its phenyl substituents is 67.7 (2)degrees. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals forces.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C9H10N2S2, were obtained from a condensation reaction of methyl dithiocarbazate and benzaldehyde. The planar dithiocarbazate unit is tilted with respect to the phenyl plane with a dihedral angle of 10.96 (12)°. Intermolecular N—H...S hydrogen bonding stabilizes the crystal structure. A C—H...π interaction is also observed in the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(16)H(10)S(2), the S atoms are almost coplanar with the benzene rings to which they are bonded [deviations of 0.092 (1) and 0.022 (1) Å from their respective ring planes]. The benzene rings enclose a dihedral angle of 79.17 (3)°. An intra-molecular C-H⋯S hydrogen bond results in the formation of a five-membered ring. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are stacked parallel to the a axis direction. π-π inter-actions between benzene rings are present, with a face-to-face stacking distance of 3.622 (10) Å.

The phenyl ring, A, and the benzothia-zolyl rings, B and C, are planar; the dihedral angles are A/B = 19.9 (11), A/C = 87.8 (3) and B/C = 84.4 (4)°. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecule, forming zigzag chains parallel to the c axis.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound, C23H24O4Si, was synthesized by photo-induced reactions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, with a=9.7299(2), b=19.6064(4), c=21.6264(5)Å, V=4125.63(15)Å3, Z=8 and Dx 1.264 g cm-3. The dihedral angle between the cyclobutene and the attached benzene ring is 38.04(13)°. The molecules are linked into an infinite chain along the a-axis. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C-H…O and C-H…π interactions.

Abstract:In the molecular structure of the title compound, C20H15NO2, the isoindolin-1-one unit is planar, the maximum atomic deviation being 0.048 (2) Å. The two biphenyl rings are twisted with respect to the isoindolin-1-one plane, making dihedral angles of 33.21 (9) and 33.34 (9)°. The two benzene rings of the biphenyl substituent are oriented at a dihedral angle of 35.43 (11)° to each other.
