Abstract:1683 Objectives To analyze the clinical characteristics and 18F-FDG PET/CT features for patients with Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) in China. Methods From January 2007 to October 2014, the clinical characteristics of 33 patients histologically proved KFD and FDG PET/CT findings of 9 patients among them were reviewed. For lymph nodes (LNs) with SUVmax exceeding 2.5, the correlations were analyzed between size (long axis diameter, LAD; short axis diameter, SAD and area) and SUVmax, and the imaging findings were compared between subgroups with differently clinical characteristics. Results Fever, neck mass, skin rash, weight loss, myalgia, leukopenia, anemia and ANA-positive were found in 97%, 52%, 21%, 21%, 15%, 79%, 79% and 29% patients, and CRP, LDH, ESR and aminotransferase increased in 73%, 72%, 66% and 54% patients, respectively. All 9 patients undergoing PET/CT were no extranodal involvement. The means of number, involved region, LAD, SAD, area and SUVmax of 99 hypermetabolic LNs were 11±6, 4±1, 11.6±2.8 mm, 8.1±2.1 mm, 85±48 mm2 and 4.72±2.16, respectively. The LAD (r=0.267), SAD (r=0.324) and area (r=0.267) weakly correlated to SUVmax(P Conclusions Our findings indicate that KFD may present more severely clinical conditions in Chinese patients and its FDG PET/CT feature is systemic distribution, relatively small-size, and high FDG avidity of affected LNs without extranodal involvement. Combining clinical information, FDG PET/CT may be useful in diagnosis and to guide the clinical management of KFD.
