Abstract:Research shows that the green landscape of ancient villages is helpful to relieve people's psychological pressure that results from spending a long time in fast-paced city life. However, there is a lack of quantitative comprehensive evaluation indicators on how to better connect with the green landscape of ancient villages with complex terrain. Therefore, this study proposes a comprehensive evaluation method for ancient village green landscapes based on the influencing factors of human visual impact (viewshed analysis optimisation algorithm, landscape water resource distribution and landscape quantity distribution). First, the green landscape area corresponding to each observation point is divided into different grids, and the grid centre point is taken as the target point. Then, the total visual impact score of the observation points is calculated and displayed in grades according to the score. Finally, the observation points with a total score of 70~100 are selected as the prediction observation platform, and the error is analysed with the original observation platform. The root mean square error of the total visual impact score of the prediction observation platform and the original observation platform is used to determine the error range. It is concluded that the positions of the prediction observation platform are within the error range, which verifies the reliability of the method proposed in this study. At the same time, the optimisation algorithm of viewshed analysis proposed in this study considers the impact of the horizontal and vertical directions between the target landscape and the observer on human eye viewing and overcomes the limitations of traditional viewshed analysis. The comprehensive evaluation method proposed in this study has been proven in the case of Fenghuang ancient town in Shaanxi Province, China, and can be applied to the protection and planning of ancient villages near mountains.
