Abstract:Developing efficient filtering materials, with both high permeation flux and rejection, by a low-cost and facile way, for oil/water separation has been the goal that mankind pursues. In this paper, we report a porous poly(melamine formaldehyde) (PMF) sponge with superwettability and controlled pore size obtained simply, by introducing hydrophilic fibers, i.e. cellulose fibers. Driven by concentration or pressure difference, the fibers diffuse into the sponge body, and the pore size of the sponge can be regulated by changing only the fiber content. These hydrophilic fibers endow the sponge with inherent superhydrophilicity and underwater superoleophobicity. The resulting modified sponges, with varied pore sizes, can effectively separate a wide range of oil/water mixtures (including layered oil/water mixtures, surfactant-free oil/water emulsion and the surfactant-stabilized emulsion) solely by gravity, with high permeation flux and satisfactory oil rejection. It is expected that such a facile way will provide a low-cost and easily scaled-up method to construct a series of filtering materials for highly efficient separation of target oil/water mixtures.
Multiporous Microstructure for Enhancing the Water Absorption and Swelling Rate in Poly(sodium Acrylic Acid) Superabsorbent Hydrogels Based on a Novel Physical and Chemical Composite Foaming System

Abstract:ABSTRACTIn this article, we report a novel physical and chemical composite foaming system, which was used to successfully prepare high‐performance and low‐cost composite superabsorbent [poly(sodium acrylic acid) (PAA–Na)] hydrogels based on acrylic acid by free‐radical polymerization in a water bath under a nitrogen atmosphere without the use of any organic solvents. The prepared hydrogels showed superabsorbent properties, high water‐absorption abilities and swelling rates, a lighter packing density, and a multiporous microstructure. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy revealed that the sodium dodecyl sulfate surfactant, sodium bicarbonate chemical foaming agent, and 1,1,2‐trifluorotrichloroethane physical foaming agent were evenly distributed and grafted onto the PAA–Na matrix. Water‐absorption, swelling rate, and packing density testing confirmed that the superabsorbent had a high water‐absorption ability and swelling rate and a lighter packing density. Furthermore, we investigated the effects of different foaming agents, including chemical and physical foaming agents, on the swelling and water‐retention capabilities of the superabsorbent hydrogels (SAHs).The results show that the combination of these foaming agents significantly improved the water‐absorbing capacity. With the help of these foaming agents, we obtained PAA–Na hydrogels without any organic solvents for posttreatment or special porogens; this is an environmentally beneficial way to prepare SAHs for hygiene and biomedical products. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Tailored Pore Size and Hydrophilicity: Advancing Poly(vinyl formal) Sponges for Efficient Emulsion Separation

Abstract:In the field of emulsion separation, the application of porous hydrophilic sponge materials is of paramount importance; however, the conventional preparation process of hydrophilic poly(vinyl formal) (PVF) restricts the simultaneous enhancement of separation efficiency and water flux. In this work, by introducing two poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and aldehyde feedstocks with different molecular weights and functional group contents into the reaction system, the differences in the mobility and reactivity of the feedstocks were exploited to successfully achieve tailoring of the pore size and hydrophilicity. The PVF sponge prepared by using this method exhibited high separation efficiency and water flux in emulsion separation. This preparation method not only avoided the requirement for pore-forming agents in traditional preparations but also significantly reduced the amount of formaldehyde by adding trace amounts of glutaraldehyde, ensuring the hydrophilicity of the sponge and markedly reducing the pore size. The experimental results showed that the addition of 1.5 × 10–3 mol/L glutaraldehyde could effectively reduce the average pore size of the PVF sponge from 26.5 to 7.2 μm while maintaining excellent hydrophilicity. The preparation mechanism of PVF sponges was thoroughly explored, and the effects of different concentrations of formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde on the sponge properties were extensively investigated. Experimental results demonstrated that the prepared PVF sponge achieved a separation efficiency of up to 98.5% for the OP-10-stabilized oil-in-water emulsion and exhibited outstanding recyclability. This cost-effective and easily scalable method for PVF sponge preparation could be employed to produce a range of highly efficient filtration materials, effectively separating target oil-in-water emulsions.

Abstract:The efficient treatment of oil-water emulsions under acidic condition remains a widespread concern. Poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer with hyperbranched structures and a large amount of primary and tertiary amino groups has exhibited advantages to solve this issue. Here, a novel poly(vinylidene fluoride)-graft-(SiO2 nanoparticles and PAMAM dendrimers) (PVDF-g-SiO2 NPs/PAMAM) membrane was fabricated using a surface-grafting strategy. SiO2 NPs were immobilized on PVDF-g-poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) membranes for improving the surface roughness, and PAMAM dendrimers were further immobilized on the membrane surface by interfacial polymerization (IP) for improving the surface energy. The obtained membrane demonstrated a water contact angle and a stable underwater-oil contact angle of 0 degrees and >150 degrees, respectively. These characteristics endowed the membrane with excellent water permeability [>3100 L/(m(2).h) at 0.9 bar] and separation efficiency (>99%) during oil-water separation. Furthermore, the PAMAM chain will extend from a collapsed state into a fully extension state because of the protonation of amine groups under acidic condition, thus achieving a low underwater oil-adhesion property, fouling resistance, desirable stability, and recyclability (over 12 cycles) during usage. This work shows a promising prospect for the treatment of corrosive emulsions under acidic condition.

Abstract:Developing novel filtering materials with both high permeation flux and rejection rate presents an enticing prospect for oil/water separation. In this paper, robust porous poly(melamine formaldehyde) (PMF) sponges with superwettability and controlled pore sizes through introducing layered double hydroxides (LDH) and SiO2 electrospun nanofibers are reported. The LDH nanoscrolls endow the sponge with inherent superhydrophilicity and the SiO2 nanofibers act as pore size regulators by overlapping the PMF mainframe. This approach allows the intrinsic large pores in the pristine sponge to decrease quickly from 109.50 to 23.35 mu m, while maintaining porosity above 97.8%. The resulting modified sponges with varied pore sizes can effectively separate a wide range of oil/water mixtures, including the surfactant-stabilized emulsions, solely by gravity, with ultrahigh permeation flux (maximum of 3 x 10(5) L m(-2) h(-1) bar(-1)) and satisfactory oil rejection (above 99.46%). Moreover, separation of emulsions stabilized by different surfactants, such as anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants has been investigated for further practical evaluation. It is expected that such a pore size tuning technology can provide a low cost and easily scaled-up method to construct a series of filtering materials for high-efficient separation of target oil/water mixtures.
Eco-friendly, highly interpenetrated and slightly swollen pHEMA hydrogel foam for durable underwater superoleophobicity and emulsion separation

Abstract:Despite the emergence of hydrogels as ideal candidates for preparing the superhydrophilic materials for emulsion separation, their structural stability and swelling still hinder their long-term use, mainly due to structure defects after swelling. Herein, differing from the common modification, the eco-friendly poly 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (pHEMA) hydrogel foam was designed and synthesized via a one-step strategy by using the high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) template method, which endowed it with a highly interpenetrated porous structure. Unlike the normal swellable hydrogels such as poly(N-isoproplyacrylamide) (PNIPAM) hydrogel, or modified hydrogel coatings, the pHEMA hydrogel foam displayed stable structure and underwater superoleophobicity after 20 d of immersion in water. The pHEMA hydrogel foam could separate different kinds of highly surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions with a high separation efficiency of 99.3% for liquid paraffin emulsion obtained solely under gravity-driven. Additionally, it exhibited excellent antifouling performance and long-term acid/alkali tolerance over 100 h without decrease in emulsion separation efficiency (98.0%, oil/water ratio of 99:1) and permeation flux (over 2000 L·m-2·h-1) attributed to its stable bulky structure. Moreover, the pHEMA hydrogel foam demonstrated high cell viability of 96.87% and 95.96% after culturing the 3T3 clone A31 cells in the pHEMA hydrogel foam for 24 h and 48 h, respectively, indicating good biocompatibility. Hence, our work provides a new design to develop an eco-friendly bulk hydrogel foam that achieves stable structure and performance for emulsion separation.

Abstract:Nowadays, oils and organics pollutions have become more serious, which causes great threats both to the ecological environment and human life. To solve this problem, development of absorbent materials with high absorption capacity and good recyclability for large-scale oils and organics separation from water still remains large challenge. In this work, we propose a facile and low-cost method to prepare 3-D PVDF/TPU composite foam with superoleophilicity (0°) and hydrophobicity (143°) by combining vacuum-assisted solution casting and particle leaching techniques. The proposed PVDF/TPU composite foam shows high absorption capacity toward different of oils and organics, and its maximum absorption capacity can achieve 55 g/g for dichloromethane, which is attributed to its high porosity (95%) and excellent interconnectivity. The absorbed oils and organics can be readily removed by simply squeezing the PVDF/TPU composite foam due to its outstanding elasticity, suggesting that it has prominent recyclability. More importantly, the composite foam can quickly and continuously separate oils and organics from water through a peristaltic pump and has a high separation efficiency of 98.5% even after 10 cycles, which indicating a promising prospect for cleaning the large-scale oils and organics pollutions. Furthermore, the composite foam also can be applied to separate surfactant-stabilized oils and organics in-water emulsion. These results showed that the PVDF/TPU composite foam has the potential to be widely applied in practice for oils and organics separation.

Abstract:Oil spills cause serious environmental pollution and serious waste of resources, hydrophobic porous absorbent has been deemed as a simple, low-cost, efficient and environment-friendly in oil–water separation. In this paper, a facile emulsion template method was developed to fabricate an interconnected porous poly(DVB-MMA) sponge. A novel co-Pickering stabilization system of Span 80 and NiFe2O4 nanoparticles was applied to fabricate ultra-concentrated internal phase W/O emulsions. After further polymerization, the resulting sponge showed excellent adsorption selectivity due to superhydrophobicity and superlipophilicity. Also, the characterization results exhibited that the composite had superior thermal stability, low density, high porosity and flexible three-dimensional porous structure. Besides, waste PS plastic was introduced to enhance the structural integrity of composite, and the addition of NiFe2O4 provided the material with magnetic operability. High oil adsorption capacity (up to 44.3–101.0 g/g), high oil retention, fast adsorption rate and superior recyclability allowed the material to be used in the fields of oil–water separation and oil pollution treatment.

Abstract:Superhydrophobic vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane embedded polystyrene sponge (V-PDMS/PS) with hierarchical structure for efficient oil-water separation was constructed by the dual-emulsion-template route, based on polymerization of the water-in-oil (W/O) type high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs). A series of vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (V-PDMS) was adopted as the organic phase as well as the hydrophobic modification reagent. Finally, the sponge material was composed of polystyrene (PS) skeleton embedded with V-PDMS chain, which exhibited an enhanced thermal stability compared with the pure polystyrene sponge. The obtained sponge exhibited an outstanding oil collection performance of 55.6 g/g–119.5 g/g towards representative oil pollutant. The polystyrene sponge features excellent recyclability, with about 90% recovery rate just by simple compression. Besides, it showed superhydrophobicity with water contact angles (WCAs) exceeding 150°, deriving from the hierarchically porous structure and the low-surface-energy of the V-PDMS. It also exhibited superoleophilicity with oil contact angle approaching 0°.

Abstract:In the ever-growing environmental concerns caused by crude oil spills and solvent discharges, our study pioneered an ingenious approach to fabricate superhydrophobic melamine formaldehyde (HMF) materials through in situ anchoring of a porous hyper-cross-linked polymer (HCP) and achieved stable integration of HCP on the MF surface by covalent bonds and hydrogen bonds instead of traditional adhesives. The resulting composite material exhibits exceptional performance with an oil adsorption capacity of 130 mL/g, a filtration/separation efficiency exceeding 99%, and remarkable environmental resistance and recyclability. The robust interfacial strength and high degree of cross-linking porous HCP facilitate tailorable design and easy adjustment of pore structures and ensure repeated use through simple squeezing. Notably, the hydrophobicity and porous structure of the sponge can be conveniently regulated by controlling the deposition amount of HCP, realizing a high adsorption capacity and/or efficient emulsion separation on demand. This study not only contributes to the advancement of wettability materials but also presents an efficient, versatile, and convenient method and toolbox to address diverse oil/water separation challenges, paving the way for sustainable environmental solutions and marking a significant stride toward a cleaner future.

Abstract:Oil pollution and the energy crisis make oil-water separation an urgent for human need. The widespread use of materials with a single emulsion separation capability is limited. Multifunctional on-demand separation materials can adapt to a wide range of application scenarios, thus having a wider range of applications. The underoil superhydrophilic surface is of great significance for realizing the on-demand separation of oil/water emulsions through the removal of water in the oil and oil in the water. A 3D porous emulsion separation material based on the superhydrophilic principle of sphagnum moss was designed. The material was prepared in a simple step by taking advantage of the adhesion of polydopamine and the introduction of the as-prepared superhydrophilic BaSO 4 nanoparticles to achieve superhydrophilicity with a water contact angle (WCA) of 0° and an oil contact angle (OCA) of 157.3°, resulting in excellent separation performance for both water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions. Underoil superhydrophilic porous composite (OSPC) can complete two kinds of emulsion separations by filtration or adsorption. It adsorbs water from water-in-oil emulsion to achieve separation, with a good adsorption capacity of 74.38 g/g and efficiency up to 99%. It can also filter oil-in-water emulsions with an efficiency of 99.92%. The separation efficiencies are all almost unchanged after ten separation cycles. Furthermore, the material has excellent flame retardancy, which reduces the possibility of secondary disasters. The three-dimensional porous sponge has excellent on-demand separation performance for multiple emulsions. It provides a new preparation strategy for underoil superhydrophilic materials and a new idea for the design direction of special wetting materials for the on-demand separation of oil/water emulsions.

Abstract:Oil spills and organic solvents leakages have led to serious environmental problems, which calls for the emerging materials for the separation of oil/organic solvents from water effectively. Herein, a superhydrophobic/superoleophilic, SHMP-1@Sponge, with water contact angle (WCA) of 156 degrees and oil contact angle of 0 degrees, was fabricated by dip coating polymer SHMP-1 powder onto the skeleton of 3D melamine sponge. The SHMP-1@Sponge featured large specific surface area (556 m2/g) as well as high chemical and mechanical durability. SHMP1@Sponge can absorb up to 40-105 times of its own weight of light and heavy oils/organic solvents in seconds, and it can be recycled for 25 times by squeezing. Moreover, the separation efficiency of immiscible oil/ water mixtures and oil-in-water emulsions by SHMP-1@Sponge are > 99.5%. SHMP-1@Sponge shows tremendous absorption capacity for chloroform-in-water emulsions (1460 mg/g) compared with nitrobenzenein-water (1290 mg/g) and diesel-in-water emulsions (980 mg/g), which is the strongest superhydrophobic absorbent for surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water emulsions reported to date. The durable SHMP-1@Sponge fabricated by loading superhydrophobic polymer with large surface area onto 3D sponge makes it a promising material for oil/water separation in realistic aquatic environments.

Abstract:Here we have successfully fabricated the superhydrophilic and underwater superoleophobic PVDF/ Al2O3/PAM membranes by constructed "needle-shaped" PAM on the PVDF/Al2O3 hybrid membranes surface through ATRP technology. The modified membranes were characterized by the Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) that the AlP has been hydrolyzed to Al2O3 and AM has successfully polymerized on the membrane surface. When the PVDF/Al2O3/PAM membranes were applied in oil/water emulsion separation, the separation efficiencies were more than 99.1% and the maximum flux of the emulsion was 5874L/ m/(2)/h/bar. In the anti-fouling performance experiment, the flux recovery ration (FRR) of the PVDF/Al2O3 /PAM membranes could still reach 83.46% after eight cycles. Therefore, the PVDF/Al2O3/PAM membranes have high separation efficiency and high flux performance for separating oil-water emulsions, and steadily anti-oil performance is suitable for practical applications. Abstract:The separation of oil/water mixtures has become a major problem worldwide as oil spills and the discharge of oily wastewater. Materials with special wettable surfaces have been developed over the past decades to separate oil and water efficiently. Compared to conventional superoleophilic "oil removal" materials, superhydrophilic "water removal" materials have been favored by researchers for their better performance. Among them, three-dimensional (3D) porous materials have higher oil/water separation flux than two-dimensional (2D) materials, and their unique structure allows them to be applied to separate various oily wastewater. Therefore, 3D superhydrophilic porous materials have been widely manufactured and applied to oil/water separation. In this paper, we first introduced the theoretical model of oil/water separation and then described in detail the currently fabricated superhydrophilic sponges, foams, hydrogels, and aerogels from three types of substrate materials: organic, inorganic, and organic–inorganic co-hybrid. We mainly described the preparation methods, surface wettability, oil/water separation properties, and other properties each material possesses. We also identified and clarified the relationships and inconsistencies among the materials. Finally, we discussed and summarized the advantages and disadvantages of various types of 3D superhydrophilic porous materials, as well as some problems and challenges faced, and provided an outlook on their future development.

Abstract:<h2 class="section-title u-h3 u-margin-l-top u-margin-xs-bottom">ABTRACT</h2>The efficient treatment of high stability emulsion with small diameter and the prevention of oil contamination of materials are serious issues in the process of emulsion separation. In order to address those issues, we reported a fast and versatile hydrophilic surface coating technology that uses oxidants and diamines to synergistically promote the polymerization of caffeic acid (CA). It was found that amino groups can not only accelerate the polymerization of CA, but also promote the deposition of polymers on the sponge surface. Using silica nanoparticles to improve the roughness, superhydrophilic melamine sponge could be prepared, which exhibited excellent superhydrophlic-underwater superolephobic and anti-oil-adhesion properties. DFT simulation was employed to explore the potential mechanism of the anti-oil adhesion ability. In addition, combined with the mechanical compression strategy, the sponge exhibited a high efficiency of 99.10% with a permeation flux of 19080±700Lm-2h-1 in emulsion separation just under the action of gravity. Moreover, based on the interaction between the surfactant and the surface of the material, the separation mechanism was discussed. Overall, this work provided an advanced method for the preparation of superhydrophilic sponge with anti-oil-fouling performance, which showed great potential in dealing with practically challenging emulsified wastewater.

Abstract:In this study, the unmodified PAL could catalyze the hydrolysis and condensation of vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES) to construct a novel superhydrophobic sponge possessing the rod-spherical microstructure. After the hydrophobic modification of hexadecyltrimethoxysilane (C16TMS), a superhydrophobic sponge with a rod-spherical microstructure (C16TMS/PAL-VSiO2/MS) was prepared, and characterized by SEM, TEM, FTIR, XPS, stress-strain, contact angle. And it showed a novel structure and excellent properties, such as outstanding elasticity (32.8 kPa), superior hydrophobic property (water contact angle of 154.1o, and water sliding angle of 4.2o). In the process of oil-water separation, C16TMS/PAL-VSiO2/MS exhibited the optimal adsorption capacity of 128 ± 3 g/g of dichloroethane and the excellent separation efficiency exceeding 99.0%. It was noteworthy that the adsorption capacity and WCA did not drop significantly after 20 cycles of repeated adsorption. C16TMS/PAL-VSiO2/MS would be a promising material in oil-water separation, because of the excellent separation efficiency and the simple, economical, and easily scalable preparation method.

Abstract:Massive oily wastewater discharged from industrial production and human daily life have been an urgent environmental and ecological challenge. Superhydrophobic materials have attracted tremendous attention due to their unique properties and potential applications in the treatment of wastewater. In this study, a novel superhydrophobic/superoleophilic composite melamine sponge modified with dual silanized SiO2 microspheres was fabricated simply by a two-step sol-gel method using vinyltriethoxysilane and hexadecyltrimethoxysilane as functional agent, which exhibited a water contact angle of 153.2o and a water sliding contact angle of 4.8o. Furthermore, the composite sponge showed the excellent oil adsorption performance and the compressive elasticity reaching up to 130 g/g of dichloromethane and 33.1 kPa of compressive stress. It was worth noting that the composite sponge presented the excellent separation efficiency (up to 99.5%) in the processes of continuous oil/water separation. Abstract:Superhydrophobic polyurethane (PU) sponges as ideal absorbent materials have attracted significant interest for oil/water separation while their durability is dramatically limited by the poor mechanochemical stability. In this work, a durable superhydrophobic sponge with special hierarchical micro/nano was fabricated by in-situ anchoring of expanded graphite (EG) and TiO 2 particles under polarity-induced phase separation during facile self-foaming process. After maturation for 3 h, the prepared sponge exhibited asymmetric wettability with the water contact angle (WCA) was up to 157.9 ± 1.5° and oil contact angle (OCA) was 0°, which could selectively absorb diverse oils range from 11.48 to 41.60 times of its own weight and oily emulsion separation efficiency was up to 99.80 %. In addition, due to the enhancement of the interface bonding force between the prepared sponge skeleton and EG@TiO 2 particles through the crosslinking of foaming resin during the self-foaming process, the absorption capacity of the prepared sponge decreased by only 3.74 % and the stress attenuation was only 14.10 % after 150 absorption cycles, indicating its excellent recyclability and mechanical stability. Notably, when subjected to the harsh environment including acid/alkali conditions, high temperatures, salt solutions and organic solvents, the prepared sponge could remain stable superhydrophobicity with the WCAs all over 154.4° ± 1.5°, demonstrating its excellent chemical stability. Besides, PU/EG@TiO 2 sponge demonstrated prominent antifouling and self-cleaning properties. Overall, this work provided an advanced idea for the preparation of superhydrophobic sponge with outstanding mechanochemical stability, which exhibited great potential in the treat of oily emulsified wastewater.

Abstract:Three-dimensional separation materials with robust physical/chemical stability have great demand for effective and continuous separation of immiscible oil/water mixtures and water-in-oil emulsions, resulting from chemical leakages and discharge of industrial oily wastewaters. Herein, a superelastic polystyrene-based porous material with superhydrophobicity/superoleophilicity was designed and prepared by high internal phase emulsion polymerization to meet the aforementioned requirements. A flexible and hydrophobic aminopropyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (NH2-PDMS-NH2) segment was introduced into the rigid styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer through 1, 4-conjugate addition reaction with trimethylolpropane triacrylate. The addition of NH2-PDMS-NH2 simultaneously improved the mechanical and hydrophobic properties of the porous material (the water contact angle from 141.2° to 152.2°). The material exhibited outstanding reversible compressibility (80% strain, even in liquid N2 environments) and superhydrophobic stability, even after being repeatedly compressed 100 times, water contact angle still remained above 150°. Meanwhile, the as-prepared material had outstanding hydrophobic stability in corrosive solutions (strong acidic, alkaline, high-salty, and even strong polar solvent), presence of mechanical interference, strong UV radiations, and high/low temperature environments. More importantly, the material could continuously and efficiently separate immiscible oil/water mixture and water-in-oil emulsions under the above conditions, showing huge potential for the large-scale remediation of complex oily wastewaters.
Simple preparation superhydrophobic melamine sponge via one-step emulsion polymerization for continuous oil/water separation in harsh environment

Abstract:The oil spill and industrial oily wastewater in large quantities has caused severe harm to the environment and human health, which make an urgent requirement to develop low-cost, eco-friendly, stable performance and highly efficient oil/water separation materials. Herein, a superhydrophobic/superlipophilic melamine sponge with excellent hydrophobic stability was successfully fabricated via one-step emulsion polymerization. During polymerization, trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA) and polyethylene imine (PEI) form robust microspheres, and polydimethylsilane (PDMS) cross-links to form hydrophobic coating on the original sponge skeleton. The modified sponge could continuously separate various immiscible oil/water mixtures under harsh conditions (including strong acids, strong bases, salts). Even after 10 consecutive cycles, the separation efficiency for toluene and petroleum ether exceeds 99.87%. In addition, the as-prepared sponge exhibited extraordinarily high oil absorption capacities (with a maximum saturated oil absorption of 107.31 g/g for chloroform) and excellent reversible compressibility (up to 100 compression cycles). More importantly, the pore size of modified sponge was adjusted through a simple mechanical compression strategy so that the compressed sponge met the particle size screening requirements to effectively separate the surfactant-stabilized water-in-oil emulsions. Based on the simple preparation protocol, fluorine-free raw materials, and excellent properties, the MS-TMPTA/PEI-PDMS sponge presented here have extremely promising application potential in oil/water separation.
