Abstract:Deficiencies in the adaptability and versatility of a phase change composite severely restrict its promotion and application in fields with complex operational environments. Herein, a series of nickel foam adsorbed paraffin wax (Ni-F/PW) composites were obtained via a vacuum impregnation process. Multi-walled MXene films were also obtained using a vacuum filtration process. Sandwich structured phase change composites (SSPCCs) were obtained through a facile solution encapsulation process, using polydimethylsiloxane. Among them, SSPCC-25 demonstrates a total shielding effectiveness value of 88.2 dB with a thickness of 25 mu m. Additionally, high latent heat (170 J/g) and great thermal stability provide SSPCCs with excellent thermal management application potential. The proven excellent photo-to-thermal and magnetic-to-thermal conversion abilities further widen the range of applications for SSPCCs. In short, the fabricated SSPCCs are an excellent candidate as a functional material in the fields of electromagnetic interference shielding and temperature management.
