Abstract:Following the publication of the above article, the authors have drawn to our attention that, in Fig. 6 on p. 83, the ‘Ad5/F‑35 vector’ and ‘Control’ experiment data panels for the MKN45 cell line were inadvertently derived from the same original source. The Ad5/F35‑vector and Control groups were both negative controls; Ad5/F35‑vector was the empty vector condition, whereas ‘Control’ represented the ‘no vector’ experiment. A representative image belonging to the Control MKN45 experiment was inadvertently used to show the ‘Ad5‑F35‑vector’ experiment. An examination of the original data files confirmed that the data shown in the histogram for Fig. 6 were correct; therefore, this error in terms of figure placement did not influence the statistical analysis shown for the invasive ability of the cells. A corrected version of Fig. 6, containing correct representative data for the ‘Ad5‑F35‑vector’ experiment, is shown opposite. This error did not affect the results or the conclusions reported in this study. The authors sincerely apologize for this mistake, and regret any inconvenience this mistake has caused. Abstract:Background: Cancer-derived immunoglobulin G (CIgG) has been detected in various cancers and plays important roles in carcinogenesis. The present study aimed to investigate its clinical significance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Methods: Using tissue microarrays (TMAs) and immunohistochemistry, we assessed CIgG expression in 326 patients who underwent surgical resection for PDAC. The associations between CIgG expression and clinicopathological features and clinical outcomes were analyzed. Functional experiments were also performed to investigate the effect of CIgG on PDAC cells. Results: High CIgG expression was related to poor tumor differentiation and metastasis during follow-up and was associated with poor disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). A multivariate Cox regression analysis identified high CIgG expression as an independent prognostic factor for DFS and OS. The incorporation of CIgG expression improved the accuracy of an established prognosis prediction model for 1-year OS and 2-year OS. In vitro studies showed that knocking down CIgG profoundly suppressed the proliferation, migration, and invasion capacity of PDAC cells. Conclusions: CIgG contributes to the malignant behaviors of PDAC and offers a powerful prognostic predictor for these patients.

Abstract:We have recently noticed an accidental error in part of a figure which appeared in the above‑mentioned article. In Fig. 3A, the image for the HGC27‑pEF, 15 h panel was mistakenly replicated as the HGC27‑KD, 0 h panel in the same figure, and the AGS‑pEF, 15 h and AGS KD, 0 h panels were mistakenly switched with each other. We have reviewed the original files and the individual figures for the submitted composite figure, and realized that the error occurred when we produced the composite figure by marrying the individual images to the final figure. The same image was accidentally pasted twice without us being fully aware of the error. We have identified all the original images, and the corrected version of Fig. 3 is shown below.
