Abstract:Based on inferences from morphological, chemical and phylogenetic analysis using ITS sequences, a new species of Alectoria is described from the Hengduan Mountains in southwestern China, A. spinosa Li S. Wang & Xin Y. Wang sp. nov, it has dull yellowish fruticose thallus with abundant pseudocyphellae, which is the main character of Alectoria, and differs from all the other Alectoria species by having isidia-like spinules on the soralia. Two species of Alectoria are confirmed in China, their morphological and chemical traits, together with their geographical distributions in China, are discussed, and a key to the species is provided.

Abstract:In the current study, six species of the genus Spinirta from southern China are recognized, four new species are described: S. hongyui Wang, Lu & Z.S. Zhang sp. nov. (♂♀), S. liuae Wang, Lu & Z.S. Zhang sp. nov. (♂♀), S. simianshan Wang, Lu & Z.S. Zhang sp. nov. (♂♀) and S. yintiaoling Wang, Lu & Z.S. Zhang sp. nov. (♂). Females of S. aviforma Jin & Zhang, 2020 (♂♀) and S. quadrata Jin & Zhang, 2020 (♂♀) are described for the first time. Abstract:The tribe Xylenini is one of the main large taxonomic groups known as Winter Noctuidae.A new species of the genus Antivaleria Sugi, 1980, Antivaleria ronkayorum Zhang & Wang, sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Zhejiang Prov., China. The species resembles Antivaleria peregovitsi Ronkay et al., 2010, but differs in wing pattern, foot-like cucullus and special shape of harpe. A key to the Antivaleria species is presented. The holotype is deposited in the Department of Entomology, College of Plant Protection, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou.

Abstract:In this paper, we report six new species from Hainan Province, China: Radigryllacris mingzheni sp. nov. , Metriogryllacris ( Metriogryllacris ) prunulis sp. nov. , Metriogryllacris ( Metriogryllacris ) triquetris sp. nov. , Metriogryllacris ( Metriogrylla cris ) spinulosa sp. nov. , Ocellarnaca hainanensis sp. nov. and Sinagryllacris biprocera sp. nov. . Meanwhile, one new synonym ( Ocellarnaca virida Su, Zhang & Shi, 2024 syn. nov. = Radigryllacris forficata (Pang, Zhang & Bian, 2023)) is proposed. Abstract:Continued collecting efforts at the Jiulong National Wetland Park, Zhejiang, East China revealed two additional species of the ant-loving beetle subfamily Pselaphinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae): Trisiniotus jiulong sp. nov. and Arthromelodes lianghongbini sp. nov. Abstract:A new species of gall wasp, Andricus wugangensis Zeng, Liu, & Zhu sp. nov. is described and illustrated herein from Hunan Province, China. The new species is most similar to A. wuhanensis Ide, Abe, Su & Zhu and A. xishuangbanaensis Melika & Tang in morphology but can be easily distinguished by having 1) a large V-shaped carina on the lower face and 2) a broad transverse depression spanning the region between the inner margin of the eyes on the upper face. The results of a phylogenetic analysis and pairwise genetic distance comparison, based on COI sequences, were consistent with the conclusion of the comparative morphological assessment of the similar species: A. wuganensis, A. wuhanensis and A. xishuangbanaensis, although the morphological differences are more obvious than the small genetic distance of the COI sequences, which is 4.3% and 3% between the new species and A. wuhanensis and A. xishuangbanaensis, respectively. Additionally, a taxonomic key to the known species of Andricus from China is provided.

Abstract:The genus Xestopus Andrewes, 1937 in China is reviewed, with the description of a new species: X. gutangensis Zhu & Kavanaugh, sp. nov. (type locality: Xizang: Mêdog, 29.46414°N, 95.73563°E). The male of X. cyaneus Sciaky & Facchini, 1997 is described for the first time, and the first record of this species in Yunnan, China, represents an eastward range extension for the species. A key is provided for the eight known species of the genus.

Abstract:As part of a study on the cynipids (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Cynipinae) in the Chinese fauna, we report in the present paper two species of Andricus Hartig from the tribe Cynipini, including one new species, namely, A. deqingis sp. n. from that country. In addition to new species, we also provide illustrated keys to east Palaearctic and Oriental species of this genus.
