Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity of convex solutions to the Dirichlet problem of the homogeneous Monge-Ampere equation det D(2)u = 0. We prove that if the domain is a strip region and the boundary functions are locally uniformly convex and C-k+2,C-alpha smooth, then the solution is C-k+2,C-alpha smooth up to boundary. By an example, we show the solution may fail to be C-2 smooth if boundary functions are not locally uniformly convex. Similar results have also been obtained for the Dirichlet problem on bounded convex domains.

Abstract:The corona problem was motivated by the question of the density of the open unit disc in the maximal ideal space of the algebra of bounded holomorphic functions on the unit disc. The corona problem connects operator theory, function theory, and geometry. It has been studied by different scholars in different contexts and found to be an important part of classical function theory, and of modern harmonic analysis. In this paper we give a new proof of the corona theorem based on Bezout formulation of the corona problem. The main feature of this method sheds light on how to extend from complex one variable to complex several variables.

Abstract:We study regularity of solutions $u$ to $\overline\partial u=f$ on a relatively compact $C^2$ domain $D$ in a complex manifold of dimension $n$, where $f$ is a $(0,q)$ form. Assume that there are either $(q+1)$ negative or $(n-q)$ positive Levi eigenvalues at each point of boundary $\partial D$. Under the necessary condition that a locally $L^2$ solution exists on the domain, we show the existence of the solutions on the closure of the domain that gain $1/2$ derivative when $q=1$ and $f$ is in the Hölder-Zygmund space $\Lambda^r(\overline D)$ with $r>1$. For $q>1$, the same regularity for the solutions is achieved when $\partial D$ is either sufficiently smooth or of $(n-q)$ positive Levi eigenvalues everywhere on $\partial D$.

Abstract:This paper discusses properties of the Higson corona by means of a quotient on coarse ultrafilters on a proper metric space. We use this description to show that the corona functor is faithful. This study provides a Künneth formula for twisted coarse cohomology. We obtain the Gromov boundary of a hyperbolic proper geodesic metric space as a quotient of its Higson corona.

Abstract:The note concerns the $\bar\partial$ problem on product domains in $\mathbb C^2$. We show that there exists a bounded solution operator from $C^{k, \alpha}$ into itself, $k\in \mathbb Z^+\cup \{0\}, 0<\alpha< 1$. The regularity result is optimal in view of an example of Stein-Kerzman.

We observe that the canonical solution operator for the $\bar\partial$ equation on $\Omega$ is bounded in $W^{k,p}(\Omega)$, $k\in \mathbb Z^+, 1<p<\infty$. This Sobolev regularity is sharp in view of Kerzman-type examples.

Abstract:We construct nontrivial unbounded domains $\Omega$ in the hyperbolic space $\mathbb{H}^N$, $N \in \{2,3,4\}$, bifurcating from the complement of a ball, such that the overdetermined elliptic problem \begin{equation} -\Delta_{\mathbb{H}^N} u+u-u^p=0\,\, \text{in}\,\,\Omega, \,\, u=0,\,\,\partial_\nu u=\text{const}\,\,\text{on}\,\,\partial\Omega\nonumber \end{equation} has a positive bounded solution in $C^{2,\alpha}\left(\Omega\right) \cap H^1\left(\Omega\right)$. We also give a condition under which this construction holds for larger dimensions $N$. This is linked to the Berestycki-Caffarelli-Nirenberg conjecture on overdetermined elliptic problems, and, as far as we know, is the first nontrivial example of solution to an overdetermined elliptic problem in the hyperbolic space.

Abstract:We study the additive eigenvalues on changing domains, along with the associated vanishing discount problems. We consider the convergence of the vanishing discount problem on changing domains for a general scaling type $\Omega_\lambda = (1+r(\lambda))\Omega$ with a continuous function $r$ and a positive constant $\lambda$. We characterize all solutions to the ergodic problem on $\Omega$ in terms of $r$. In addition, we demonstrate that the additive eigenvalue $\lambda\mapsto c_{\Omega_\lambda}$ on a rescaled domain $\Omega_\lambda = (1+\lambda)\Omega$ possesses one-sided derivatives everywhere. Additionally, the limiting solution can be parameterized by a real function, and we establish a connection between the regularity of this real function and the regularity of $\lambda \mapsto c_{\Omega_\lambda}$. We provide examples where higher regularity is achieved.

Abstract:Aim of this paper is to provide higher order boundary Harnack principles [De Silva-Savin 15] for elliptic equations in divergence form under Dini type regularity assumptions on boundaries, coefficients and forcing terms. As it was proven in [Terracini-Tortone-Vita 22], the ratio $v/u$ of two solutions vanishing on a common portion $\Gamma$ of a regular boundary solves a degenerate elliptic equation whose coefficients behave as $u^2$ at $\Gamma$. Hence, for any $k\geq 1$ we provide $C^k$ estimates for solutions to the auxiliary degenerate equation under double Dini conditions, actually for general powers of the weight $a>-1$, and we imply $C^k$ estimates for the ratio $v/u$ under triple Dini conditions, as a corollary in the case $a=2$.

The spectrum of the Corona of Hypergraphs

Abstract:The corona of hypergraphs is an extension of the corona operation applied to graphs. The corona $G_0^* \odot_1^n G_1^*$ of two hypergraphs is obtained by taking $n$ copies of $G_1^*$ (where $n$ is the order of $G_0^*$) and by joining the $i$-th vertex of $G_0^*$ with the $i$-th copy of $G_1^*$. In this paper, we estimate the complete spectrum(adjacency and Seidel) and eigenvectors of the corona $G_0^* \odot_1^n G_1^*$ of two hypergraphs when $G_1^*$ is regular. Additionally, we define the corona hypergraph $G_0^{*(m)}=G_0^{*(m-1)} \odot_1^n G_0^*$ and determined its adjacency spectrum. Also, we extend the definition coronal of the adjacency matrix. Moreover, we estimate the characteristic polynomial of Seidel matrix of the generalised corona of hypergraphs. Applying these results, we obtain infinitely many non-regular non-isomorphic adjacency and Seidel cospectral hypergraphs.

Abstract:By using the Cauchy-Fantappie machinery, the nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equation on convex domain D for (0, q) form f with partial derivativef = 0, partial derivativeu = f, has a solution which is a linear combination of integrals on bD of the following differential forms[GRAPHICS]j = 1, . . ., n-q-3, where A = [partial derivative (zeta)r(zeta), zeta - z], beta = \z -zeta\(2) and r is the defining function of D. In the case of finite strict type, Bruna et al. estimated [partial derivativer(zeta), zeta - z], by the pseudometric constructed by McNeal. We can e stimate the above differential forms and their derivatives. Then, by using a method of estimating integrals essentially due to McNeal and Stein, we prove the following almost sharp Holder estimate[GRAPHICS]for arbitary kappa > 0. The constant only depends on kappa, D and q.

Abstract:We prove the existence of a countable family of Delaunay type domains \Omega_j in M^n x R, where M^n is the Riemannian manifold S^n or H^n and n is at least 2, bifurcating from the cylinder B^n x R (where B^n is a geodesic ball of radius 1 in M^n) for which the first eigenfunction of the Laplace-Beltrami operator with zero Dirichlet boundary condition also has constant Neumann data at the boundary. The domains \Omega_j are rotationally symmetric and periodic with respect to the R-axis of the cylinder and as j converges to 0 the domain \Omega_j converges to the cylinder B^n x R.
Full double Hölder regularity of the pressure in bounded domains

Abstract:We consider Hölder continuous weak solutions $u\in C^\gamma(\Omega)$, $u\cdot n|_{\partial \Omega}=0$, of the incompressible Euler equations on a bounded and simply connected domain $\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^d$. If $\Omega$ is of class $C^{2,1}$ then the corresponding pressure satisfies $p\in C^{2\gamma}_*(\Omega)$ in the case $\gamma\in (0,\frac{1}{2}]$, where $C^{2\gamma}_*$ is the Hölder-Zygmund space, which coincides with the usual Hölder space for $\gamma<\frac12$. This result, together with our previous one in [11] covering the case $\gamma\in(\frac12,1)$, yields the full double regularity of the pressure on bounded and sufficiently regular domains. The interior regularity comes from the corresponding $C^{2\gamma}_*$ estimate for the pressure on the whole space $\mathbb{R}^d$, which in particular extends and improves the known double regularity results (in the absence of a boundary) in the borderline case $\gamma=\frac{1}{2}$. The boundary regularity features the use of local normal geodesic coordinates, pseudodifferential calculus and a fine Littlewood-Paley analysis of the modified equation in the new coordinate system. We also discuss the relation between different notions of weak solutions, a step which plays a major role in our approach.

Abstract:As a first result we prove higher order Schauder estimates for solutions to singular/degenerate elliptic equations of type: \[ -\mathrm{div}\left(\rho^aA\nabla w\right)=\rho^af+\mathrm{div}\left(\rho^aF\right) \quad\textrm{in}\; \Omega \] for exponents $a>-1$, where the weight $\rho$ vanishes in a non degenerate manner on a regular hypersurface $\Gamma$ which can be either a part of the boundary of $\Omega$ or mostly contained in its interior. As an application, we extend such estimates to the ratio $v/u$ of two solutions to a second order elliptic equation in divergence form when the zero set of $v$ includes the zero set of $u$ which is not singular in the domain (in this case $\rho=u$, $a=2$ and $w=v/u$). We prove first $C^{k,\alpha}$-regularity of the ratio from one side of the regular part of the nodal set of $u$ in the spirit of the higher order boundary Harnack principle established by De Silva and Savin. Then, by a gluing Lemma, the estimates extend across the regular part of the nodal set. Finally, using conformal mapping in dimension $n=2$, we provide local gradient estimates for the ratio which hold also across the singular set.

Abstract:We study the good shape property of boundary sections of convex solutions of the oblique boundary value problem for Monge-Ampère equations $$\det D^2u =f(x) \text{ in } \Omega , \quad D_{\beta}u = \phi(x) \text{ on } \partial \Omega.$$ In the two-dimensional case, we prove the global $C^{2,\alpha}$ estimate for the solution. When the dimension $n \geq 3$, we show that this estimate still holds if the solution is bounded from above by a quadratic function in the tangent direction. We also obtain an existence result for the convex solution of Monge-Ampère equations with Robin oblique boundary conditions.

Abstract:Let $2\le n\le 5$. We establish an apriori interior H\"older regularity of $C^2$-stable solutions to the semilinear equation $-\Delta u=f(u)$ in any domain of $R^n$ for any nonlinearity $f\in C^{0,1}(R) $.If $f $ is nondecreasing and convex in addition,we obtain an interior H\"older regularity, and hence the local boundedness, of $W^{1,2}(\Omega)$-stable solutions by locally approximating them via $C^2(\Omega)$-stable solutions. In particular, we do not require any lower bound on $f$.
