Abstract:The authors consider the problem of conformally deforming a metric such that the k-curvature defined by an elementary symmetric function of the eigenvalues of the Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor on a compact manifold with boundary to a prescribed function. A consequence of our main result is that there exists a complete metric such that the Monge-Ampère type equation with respect to its Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor is solvable, provided that the initial Bakry-Emery Ricci tensor belongs to a negative convex cone.

Abstract:Let p : chi -> S be a proper Kahler fibration and epsilon -> chi a Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle. As motivated by the work of Berndtsson ([Bern09]), by using basic Hodge theory, we derive several general curvature formulas for the direct image p(*) (K-chi/S circle times epsilon) for general Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle epsilon in a simple way. A straightforward application is that, if the family chi -> S is infinitesimally trivial and Hermitian vector bundle epsilon is Nakano-negative along the base S, then the direct image p(*) (K-chi/S circle times epsilon) is Nakano-negative. We also use these curvature formulas to study the moduli space of projectively flat vector bundles with positive first Chern classes and obtain that, if the Chern curvature of direct image p(*)(K-X circle times E)-of a positive projectively flat family (E, h(t))(t is an element of D) -> X-vanishes, then the curvature forms of this family are connected by holomorphic automorphisms of the pair (X, E).
Positive Kobayashi Curvature Metrics on Ample Vector Bundles

Abstract:In this short note, we prove that a complex Finsler vector bundle with positive Kobayashi curvature must be ample, which partially solves a problem of S. Kobayashi posed in 1975. As applications, a strongly pseudoconvex complex Finsler manifold with positive Kobayashi curvature must be biholomorphic to the complex projective space; we also show that all Schur polynomials are numerically positive for complex Finsler vector bundles with positive Kobayashi curvature.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the geometry of the moduli space of curves by using the curvature properties of direct image sheaves of vector bundles. We show that the moduli space $(M_g, \omega_{WP})$ of curves with genus $g>1$ has dual-Nakano negative and semi-Nakano-negative curvature, and in particular, it has non-positive Riemannain curvature operator and also non-positive complex sectional curvature. As applications, we prove that any submanifold in $M_g$ which is totally geodesic in $A_g$ with finite volume must be a ball quotient. We also show that, on a Kodaira (deformation) surface, there is no K\"ahler metric with non-positive Riemannain sectional curvature although it possesses K\"ahler metrics with strictly negative holomorphic bisectional curvature.

Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira–Spencer–Kuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi–Yau manifolds and also a construction of global canonical family of holomorphic (n,0) -forms on the deformation spaces of Calabi–Yau manifolds. Similar constructions are also applied to the deformation spaces of compact Kähler manifolds.

Abstract: We establish a torsion theorem to the effect that the unique zero of the Kodaira-Spencer map attached to a certain quasi-semistable family of complex projective varieties over the complex projective line is the image of a torsion point of an elliptic curve under the natural projection. The proof is a mod $p$ argument and requires a density one set of primes. Three are three essential ingredients in the proof: a solution to the conjecture of Sun-Yang-Zuo, which constitutes the principal part of the paper, Pink's theorem, and Higgs periodicity theorem.

Abstract:We prove that the Gromov-Hausdorff compactification of the moduli space of Kahler-Einstein Del Pezzo surfaces in each degree agrees with certain algebro-geometric compactification. In particular, this recovers Tian's theorem on the existence of Kahler-Einstein metrics on smooth Del Pezzo surfaces and classifies all the degenerations of such metrics. The proof is based on a combination of both algebraic and differential geometric techniques.

Abstract:Given a mirror pair of a symplectic manifold $X$ and a Landau-Ginzburg potential $W$, we are interested in the problem whether the quantum cohomology of $X$ and the Jacobian algebra of $W$ are isomorphic. Since those can be equipped with Frobenius algebra structures, we might ask whether they are isomorphic as Frobenius algebras. We show that the Kodaira-Spencer map gives a Frobenius algebra isomorphism for elliptic orbispheres, under the Floer theoretic modification of the residue pairing.

By introducing some new Laurent polynomials we make our computation as explicit as possible. This widely generalizes results of Griffiths for projective hypersurfaces.

Abstract:We extend our family rigidity and vanishing theorems in [LiuMaZ] to the Spin c case.In particular, we prove a ^-theory version of the main results of [H], [Liul, Theorem B] for a family of almost complex manifolds.0. Introduction.Let M, B be two compact smooth manifolds, and TT : M -» B be a smooth fibration with compact fibre X.Let TX be the relative tangent bundle.Assume that a compact Lie group G acts fiberwise on M, that is, the action preserves each fiber of TT.Let P be a family of G-equivariant elliptic operators along the fiber X.Then the family index of P, Ind(P), is a well-defined element in K(B) (cf.[AS]) and is a virtual G-representation (cf.[LiuMal]).We denote by (Ind(P)) G £ K(B) the G-invariant part of Ind(P).A family of elliptic operator P is said to be rigid on the equivariant Chern character level with respect to this G-action, if the equivariant Chern character ch 5 (Ind(P)) G H*(B) is independent of g G G. Abstract:We study the weighted constant scalar curvature Kähler equations on mildly singular Kähler varieties. Under an assumption on the existence of certain resolution of singularities, we prove the existence of singular weighted constant scalar curvature Kähler metrics when the weighted Mabuchi functional is coercive. This extends the work of Chen and Cheng to the singular weighted setting.

Abstract:We extend Tsuji's iterative construction of a Kähler--Einstein metric with negative scalar curvature to (non-compact) Kähler manifolds with bounded geometry, using Berndtsson's method for the compact setting. Consequently, given a holomorphic surjective map $p:X \to Y$, where $X$ is a weakly pseudoconvex Kähler manifold and $Y$ is a complex manifold, whose smooth fibers admit Kähler--Einstein metrics with negative scalar curvature and bounded geometry, we show that the fiberwise Kähler--Einstein metric induces a semi-positively curved metric on the relative canonical bundle $K_{X/Y}$ of $p$. Moreover, our approach can be applied to obtain the plurisubharmonic variation of cusp Kähler--Einstein metrics.

Szegő kernels and Scorza quartics on the moduli space of spin curves

Abstract:We describe an extension at the level of the moduli space of stable spin curves of genus g of the map associating to an ineffective spin structure its Scorza curve (equivalently, the vanishing locus of its Szegő kernel). We compute the class of the Szegő-Hodge bundle, then find an unconditional new interpretation, in terms of theta constants, of the Scorza quartic uniquely associated to an even spin structure. Our results describe the superperiod map from the moduli space of supersymmetric curves in the neighborhood of the theta-null divisor and provide a lower bound for the slope of the movable cone of the moduli space of spin curves.

The prismatic realization functor for Shimura varieties of abelian type

Abstract:For the integral canonical model $\mathscr{S}_{\mathsf{K}^p}$ of a Shimura variety $\mathrm{Sh}_{\mathsf{K}_0\mathsf{K}^p}(\mathbf{G},\mathbf{X})$ of abelian type at hyperspecial level $K_0=\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{Z}_p)$, we construct a prismatic $F$-gauge model for the `universal' $\mathcal{G}(\mathbb{Z}_p)$-local system on $\mathrm{Sh}_{\mathsf{K}_0\mathsf{K}^p}(\mathbf{G},\mathbf{X})$. We use this to obtain new $p$-adic information about these Shimura varieties, notably an abelian-type analogue of the Serre--Tate theorem (realizing an expectation of Drinfeld in the abelian-type case) and a prismatic characterization of these models. To do this, we make several advances in integral $p$-adic Hodge theory, notably the development of an integral analogue of the functor $D_{\mathrm{crys}}$.

Abstract:The existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics on a compact Kähler manifold hasbeen the subject of intensive study over the last few decades, following Yau'ssolution to Calabi's conjecture. The Ricci flow, introduced by Richard Hamiltonhas become one of the most powerful tools in geometric analysis. We study the Kähler-Ricci flow on minimal surfaces of Kodaira dimension oneand show that the flow collapses and converges to a unique canonical metric onits canonical model. Such a canonical is a generalized Kähler-Einsteinmetric. Combining the results of Cao, Tsuji, Tian and Zhang, we give a metricclassification for Käher surfaces with a numerical effective canonical linebundle by the Kähler-Ricci flow. In general, we propose a program of findingcanonical metrics on canonical models of projective varieties of positiveKodaira dimension.
Kawaguchi-Silverman conjecture for certain surjective endomorphisms

Abstract:We prove the Kawaguchi-Silverman conjecture (KSC), about the equality of arithmetic degree and dynamical degree, for every surjective endomorphism of any (possibly singular) projective surface. In high dimensions, we show that KSC holds for every surjective endomorphism of any $\mathbb{Q}$-factorial Kawamata log terminal projective variety admitting an int-amplified endomorphism, provided that KSC holds for any surjective endomorphism with the ramification divisor being totally invariant and irreducible. In particular, we show that KSC holds for every surjective endomorphism of any rationally connected smooth projective threefold admitting an int-amplified endomorphism. The main ingredients are the equivariant minimal model program, the effectiveness of the anti-canonical divisor and a characterization of toric pairs.

Abstract:The Kodaira embedding theorem provides an effective characterization of projectivity of a Kahler manifold in terms the second cohomology. X Yang (2018) proved that any compact Kahler manifold with positive holomorphic sectional curvature must be projective. This gives a metric criterion of the projectivity in terms of its curvature. We prove that any compact Kahler manifold with positive 2(nd) scalar curvature (which is the average of holomorphic sectional curvature over 2-dimensional subspaces of the tangent space) must be projective. In view of generic 2-tori being nonabelian, this new curvature characterization is sharp in certain sense.
