Abstract:The neighborhood corona $G \star H$ is the graph obtained by taking one copy $G$ and $|G|$ copies of $H$, and joining each vertex of the $j$th copy of $H$ to all neighbors of $v_{j}$ in $G$. In this paper, we study the state transfer of neighborhood coronas related to the adjacency matrix. Concretely, we provide some necessary conditions under which the neighborhood corona $G \star H$ admits perfect state transfer, and obtain a new family of graphs with pretty good state transfer based on neighborhood coronas.

Abstract:For two graphs G and H, the corona product is the graph obtained by taking one copy of G and copies of H, and joining the ith vertex of G with every vertex of the ith copy of H. In this paper, we study the state transfer of corona relative to the signless Laplacian matrix. We explore some conditions that guarantee the signless Laplacian perfect state transfer in . We prove that has no signless Laplacian perfect state transfer for some special m. We also show that has pretty good state transfer but no perfect state transfer relative to the signless Laplacian matrix for a regular graph H. Furthermore, we show that has signless Laplacian pretty good state transfer, where is the cocktail party graph.

Abstract:We consider quantum state transfer relative to the Laplacian matrix of a graph. Let $N(u)$ denote the set of all neighbors of a vertex $u$ in a graph $G$. A pair of vertices $u$ and $v$ are called twin vertices of $G$ provided $N(u)\setminus\{v \}=N(v)\setminus\{u \}$. We investigate the existence of quantum state transfer between a pair of twin vertices in a graph when the edge between the vertices is perturbed. We find that removal of any set of pairwise non-adjacent edges from a complete graph with a number of vertices divisible by $4$ results Laplacian perfect state transfer (or LPST) at $\frac{\pi}{2}$ between the end vertices of every edge removed. Further, we show that all Laplacian integral graphs with a pair of twin vertices exhibit LPST when the edge between the vertices is perturbed. In contrast, we conclude that LPST can be achieved in every complete graph between the end vertices of any number of suitably perturbed non-adjacent edges. The results are further generalized to obtain a family of edge perturbed circulant graphs exhibiting Laplacian pretty good state transfer (or LPGST) between twin vertices. A subfamily of which is also identified to admit LPST at $\frac{\pi}{2}$.

Abstract:In 2018, Chen and Godsil proposed the concept of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer which is a brilliant generalization of Laplacian perfect state transfer. In this paper, we study the existence of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer in the Q-graph of an $r$-regular graph for $r\ge2$. We prove that the Q-graph of an $r$-regular graph does not have Laplacian perfect pair state transfer when $r+1$ is prime or a power of $2$. We also give a sufficient condition for Q-graph to have Laplacian pretty good pair state transfer.

Abstract:The Laplacian $\Delta$ is the infinitesimal generator of isotropic Brownian motion, being the limit process of normal diffusion, while the fractional Laplacian $\Delta^{\beta/2}$ serves as the infinitesimal generator of the limit process of isotropic Lévy process. Taking limit, in some sense, means that the operators can approximate the physical process well after sufficient long time. We introduce the nonlocal operators (being effective from the starting time), which describe the general processes undergoing normal diffusion. For anomalous diffusion, we extend to the anisotropic fractional Laplacian $\Delta_m^{\beta/2}$ and the tempered one $\Delta_m^{\beta/2,\lambda}$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Their definitions are proved to be equivalent to an alternative one in Fourier space. Based on these new nonlocal diffusion operators, we further derive the deterministic governing equations of some interesting statistical observables of the very general jump processes with multiple internal states. Finally, we consider the associated initial and boundary value problems and prove their well-posedness of the Galerkin weak formulation in $\mathbb{R}^n$. To obtain the coercivity, we claim that the probability density function $m(Y)$ should be nondegenerate.

Abstract:Caffarelli and Silvestre [ Comm. Part. Diff. Eqs. , 32 , 1245–1260 (2007)] characterized the fractional Laplacian (−Δ) s as an operator maps Dirichlet boundary condition to Neumann condition via the harmonic extension problem to the upper half space for 0 < s < 1. In this paper, we extend this result to all s > 0. We also give a new proof to the dissipative a priori estimate of quasi-geostrophic equations in the framework of L p norm using the Caffarelli–Silvestre’s extension technique.

Abstract:In this paper, we determine the two normalized Laplacian spectrum of generalized subdivision- vertex corona, subdivision-edge corona for a connected regular graph with an arbitrary reg- ular graph in terms of their normalized Laplacian eigenvalues. Moreover, applying these results, we find some non-regular normaliaed Laplacian cospectral graphs. These results generalize the existing results in [11].

The Emergence of Laplace Universality in Correlated Processes

Abstract:In transport processes across materials like glasses, living cells, and porous media, the probability density function of displacements exhibits exponential decay rather than Gaussian behavior. We show that this universal behavior of rare events, termed Laplace tails, emerges even when correlations and memory affect the dynamics. Using a renormalization-based approach, we demonstrate that correlations and memory do not suppress these tails but rather enhance their visibility, even at short timescales. The developed analytical framework refines the concept of correlations for rare events and enables the computation of effective parameters that govern Laplace tails in correlated processes. These findings suggest that correlations can serve as a tunable parameter to control the behavior of rare events in transport.

Abstract:Quantum walks on undirected graphs have been studied using symmetric matrices, such as the adjacency or Laplacian matrix, and many results about perfect state transfer are known. We extend some of those results to oriented graphs. We also study the phenomena, unique to oriented graphs, of multiple state transfer, where there is a set of vertices such that perfect state transfer occurs between every pair in that set. We give a characterization of multiple state transfer, and a new example of a graph where it occurs.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of the p-Laplacian equation with mixed homogeneous Neumann-Dirichlet boundary conditions. It is posed in a two-dimensional rough thin domain with two different composites periodically distributed. Each composite has its own periodicity and roughness order. Here, we obtain distinct homogenized limit equations which will depend on the relationship among the roughness and thickness orders of each one.

Abstract:We study various qualitative and quantitative (global) unique continuation properties for the fractional discrete Laplacian. We show that while the fractional Laplacian enjoys striking rigidity properties in the form of (global) unique continuation properties, the fractional discrete Laplacian does not enjoy these in general. While discretization thus counteracts the strong rigidity properties of the continuum fractional Laplacian, by discussing quantitative forms of unique continuation, we illustrate that these properties can be recovered if exponentially small (in the lattice size) correction terms are added. In particular, this allows us to deduce stability properties for a discrete, linear inverse problem for the fractional Laplacian. We complement these observations with a transference principle and the discussion of these properties on the discrete torus.

Abstract:Perfect state transfer on graphs has attracted extensive attention due to its application in quantum information and quantum computation. A graph is a semi-Cayley graph over a group G if it admits G as a semiregular subgroup of the full automorphism group with two orbits of equal size. A semi-Cayley graph SC ( G , R , L , S ) is called quasi-abelian if each of R , L and S is a union of some conjugacy classes of G . This paper establishes necessary and sufficient conditions for a quasi-abelian semi-Cayley graph to have perfect state transfer. As a corollary, it is shown that if a quasi-abelian semi-Cayley graph over a finite group G has perfect state transfer between distinct vertices g and h , and G has a faithful irreducible character, then lies in the center of G and ; in particular, G cannot be a non-abelian simple group. We also characterize quasi-abelian Cayley graphs over arbitrary groups having perfect state transfer, which is a generalization of previous works on Cayley graphs over abelian groups, dihedral groups, semi-dihedral groups and dicyclic groups.

This paper establishes necessary and sufficient conditions for a weighted bi-Cayley graph having perfect state transfer over any given finite abelian group. As special cases of weighted bi-Cayley graphs, the results in this paper can apply to examine weighted Cayley graphs having perfect state transfer over dihedral groups, generalized dihedral groups, semi-dihedral groups and dicyclic groups.

Exact Correlation Functions for Dual-Unitary Quantum circuits with exceptional points

Abstract:Dual-unitary quantum circuits can provide analytic spatiotemporal correlation functions of local operators from transfer matrices, enriching our understanding of quantum dynamics with exact solutions. Nevertheless, a full understanding is still lacking as the case of a non-diagonalizable transfer matrix with exceptional points has less been investigated. In this paper, we give an inverse approach for constructing dual-unitary quantum circuits with exceptional points in the transfer matrices, by establishing relations between transfer matrices and local unitary gates. As a consequence of the coalesce of eigenvectors, the correlation functions exhibit a polynomial modified exponential decay, which is significantly different from pure exponential decay, especially at early stages. Moreover, we point out that the Hamiltonian evolution of a kicked XXZ spin chain can be approximately mapped to a dual-unitary circuit with exceptional points by Trotter decomposition. Finally, we investigate the dynamics approaching and at exceptional points, showing that behaviors of correlation functions are distinct by Laplace transformation.

Abstract:We establish a limiting absorption principle for Dirichlet Laplacians in quasi-cylindrical domains. Outside a bounded set these domains can be transformed onto a semi-cylinder by suitable diffeomorphisms. Dirichlet Laplacians model quantum or acoustically-soft waveguides associated with quasi-cylindrical domains. We construct a uniquely solvable problem with perfectly matched layers of finite length. We prove that solutions of the latter problem approximate outgoing or incoming solutions with an error that exponentially tends to zero as the length of layers tends to infinity. Outgoing and incoming solutions are characterized by means of the limiting absorption principle.

We show that if for each $x\in\mathbb{R}^d, b(x, z) \geq 0$ for a.e. $z\in\mathbb{R}^d$, then $q^b(t, x, y)$ is a strictly positive continuous function and it uniquely determines a conservative Feller process $X^b$, which has strong Feller property. Furthermore, sharp two-sided estimates on $q^b(t, x, y)$ are derived.

Abstract:Perfect state transfer (PST) has great significance due to its applications in quantum information processing and quantum computation. In this paper we present a characterization of the connected simple Cayley graph Γ=Cay(G,S) having PST, where G is an abelian group and S is a non-empty set of G. We show that many previous results on periodicity and existence of PST of circulant graphs (where the underlying group G is cyclic) and cubelike graphs (G=(F2n,+)) can be derived or generalized to arbitrary abelian case in unified and more simple ways from our characterization. We also get several new results including answers to some questions raised before.
