Abstract:Gold mine tailing (GMT) were used as a substitute for quartz sand to prepare ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). The effects of four curing regimes on the mechanical and microstructure evolution of UHPC blended with gold mine tailings were investigated. The results show that the heat curing regimes significantly improve the strength of UHPC, especially combined curing (HD). This benefits from the autoclave effect and the formation of tobermorite. Compared with 20 degrees C water curing (WC), the 28 d compressive and splitting tensile strength of HD-cured G60 increase by 41.3% and 36.5%, respectively. However, compared to the 28 d strength of G0, the weak reactivity of GMT and weak GMT particle-matrix bonds result in a slight inhibition of the strength development of HD-cured G60.
