Abstract:Since the concept of proxy signature was introduced in 1996, many proxy signature schemes have been proposed. Among of them, the requirement of proxy signer's privacy protection is needful in some practical applications. In this paper, a new and provably secure anonymous proxy signature scheme from bilinear pairing, which is the organic combination of proxy signature and ring signature, is proposed to provide the privacy protection for the proxy signer. As for the security analysis, we classify the adversaries into three types according to different resources they can obtain and prove in the random oracle model that, the proposed scheme is unforgeable against all kinds of adversaries. Compared with Zhang et al.'s proxy ring signature scheme proposed in 2003, our scheme is more efficient in computation.

Abstract:Proxy signature schemes have been suggested for use in a number of applications, so the security of proxy signature scheme is more and more important. However, at present, almost all the proxy signature schemas were proven secure in the random oracle model, which has received a lot of criticism. Recently, Yu et al. proposed a designated verifier proxy signature scheme without random oracles by using Waters hashing technique. The formal models and a strictly logical process were provided in this schema. But Kang et al. show some attacks on Yu et al.s scheme and offer its insecurity proof. In this paper, in order to overcome the weaknesses in Yu et al.s scheme we make supplements on it and make it secure resist Kang et al.s attacks.

Abstract:ABSTRACTProxy signatures are signature schemes that a signer (called original signer) delegates his signing capability to other people (called proxy signer), and the proxy signer creates signatures on behalf of the original signer. In application such as electronic voting and electronic commerce, the privacy may be concerned by the original signer. The original signer may hope that the proxy signers can sign on behalf of him without knowing the content of the signed message. Few efforts have been put on privacy protection of original signer in existed proxy signature schemes. In this paper, a privacy-protecting proxy signature scheme is proposed. In this scheme, the messages the original signer entrust to the proxy signer to sign on behalf of him are secret from the proxy signer during the generation of the proxy signature and from other people except the receiver designated by the original signer. Therefore, the privacy of the original signer is protected. The security of the proposed signature scheme is analyzed and its application to electronic voting is described.

Abstract:Proxy signature helps the proxy signer to sign messages on behalf of the original signer. It is very useful when the original signer (e.g. the president of a company) is not available to sign a specific document. If the original signer can not forge valid proxy signatures through impersonating the proxy signer, it will be robust in a virtual environment; thus the original signer can not shift any illegal action initiated by herself to the proxy signer. In this paper, we propose a new proxy signature scheme. The new scheme can prevent the original signer from impersonating the proxy signer to sign messages. The proposed scheme is based on the regular ElGamal signature. In addition, the fair privacy of the proxy signer is maintained. That means, the privacy of the proxy signer is preserved; and the privacy can be revealed when it is necessary.

Abstract:In this paper, we describe a proxy signature scheme where a signer can delegate his signing right to a party who can then sign on behave of the original signer to generate a proxy signature. Our proxy signature scheme possesses the features of deniability and anonymity. It allows the signer to send messages to another while the latter can not prove to a third party the fact of communication and insures no one can determine the identity of the proxy signer without the help of original signer. Through the analysis, it shows our scheme meets correctness, deniability and other security requirements such as, anonymity, unforgeability and traceability.

Abstract:The proxy signature allows a proxy signer to sign on behalf of an original signer and can be verified by anyone with access to the original signer's public key. Recently, Dai et al. proposed a privacy-protecting proxy signature scheme. In this scheme, the messages the original signer entrust to the proxy signer to sign on behalf of him are kept secret from the proxy signer during the generation of the proxy signature except the receiver designated by the original signer. Therefore, the privacy of the original signer is protected. Unfortunately, Dai et al.'s scheme is insecure and inefficient. Particularly, the receiver can cheat the proxy signer and obtain a proxy signature on any message. To eliminate these weaknesses, we propose an improved scheme based on Nyberg-Rueppel signature.

Abstract:Mutual authentication between the user and the public cloud is essential requirement for the user to access the public cloud in cloud computing.In 2011,Juang et al.proposed a first authentication scheme based on proxy signature.The advantage of the scheme is that the user only needs to register on his home service cloud(HSC),and can pass through the authentication of the public cloud with the help of his HSC.However, their scheme has three weaknesses:1)the user’s HSC needs to update the user’s public key in each session to protect the user’s privacy;2)HSC may suffer from network jam when many users in the same HSC need to register on different public clouds simultaneously;and 3)a secret key should be shared between HSC and visiting cloud.To overcome these weaknesses,a provably secure convertible proxy signcryption for privacy preserving is proposed.Based on this scheme,a novel one-round authentication protocol is proposed,which the user only needs to register on his HSC,and can pass through the authentication of the visiting cloud without the help of his HSC.On the other hand,the proposed protocol can provide some nice properties,such as user privacy protection, non-repudiation,without updating the user’s public key,and secret key does not have to be shared between HSC and visiting cloud.In addition,the proposed scheme is provably secure in the random oracle model,and is more efficient than Juang et al.’s scheme.

Based on the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem, Ji and Li proposed a proxy signature scheme and a proxy multi-signature scheme and Chen et al. proposed two proxy multi-signature schemes. However, in their schemes, the original signer can forge proxy secret key. To eliminate the original signers forgery attacks, a modification of the proxy key generation stage is proposed. Security analysis of the improved scheme is also presented.

Abstract:A proxy signature scheme enables an original signer to delegate its signing capability to a proxy signer and then the proxy signer can sign a message on behalf of the original signer. Recently, in order to eliminate the use of certificates in certified public key cryptography and the key-escrow problem in identity-based cryptography, the notion of certificateless public key cryptography was introduced. In this paper, we first present a security model for certificateless proxy signature schemes, and then propose an efficient construction based on bilinear pairings. The security of the proposed scheme can be proved to be equivalent to the computational Diffie-Hellman problem in the random oracle with a tight reduction.

Abstract:The security of some proxy signature schemes including a simple proxy signature scheme,controlled delegation in e-checks using proxy signature and a forward secure proxy signature scheme due to Ref. is analyzed.It is shown that all the schemes are insecure.A forgery attack on these schemes is proposed in this paper.Using the forgery attack,a malicious adversary can forgery a valid proxy signing key on behalf of the original signer without his/her agreement and produce valid proxy signatures,which does harm to the benefits of the original signer and the proxy signer.The corresponding corrected algorithms are proposed to resist this kind of forgery attack.

Abstract:In a multi-proxy signature scheme, an original signer delegates his or her signing capability to a group of proxy signers, in such a way that only the cooperation of all the proxy signers can generate a valid proxy signature on behalf of the original signer. Several multi-proxy signature schemes have been proposed so far. However, these works either only provide informal security analysis, or provide a security proof in the random oracle model, which has received a lot of criticism that the proofs in the random oracle model are not proofs. In this paper, we propose a new construction of multi-proxy signature that can be proven secure without using the random oracles. As for the security, we divide the potential adversaries into three kinds according to their attack power, and prove that the proposed scheme is unforgeable against all kinds of adversaries, assuming the Computational Diffie-Hellman problem is intractable. Furthermore, the new scheme has the property that the size of a multi-proxy signature is independent on the number of the proxy signers. As far as we know, this is the first multi-proxy signature scheme that can be proven secure in the standard model.

Abstract:Many proxy signature schemes have been found in the literature. They (except one) were proven secure in the random oracle model, which has received a lot of criticism. In this paper, we propose a new construction of proxy signature which is strongly unforgeable in the standard model with the computational Diffie-Hellman assumption in bilinear groups. Compared with the only proxy signature without random oracles, our scheme demonstrates stronger security, shorter system parameters and higher efficiency. As far as we know, this is the first proxy signature scheme, which possesses the property of strong unforgeability in the standard model. (C) 2011 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Abstract:Proxy signatures are important cryptosystems that are widely adopted in different applications. Most of the proxy signature schemes so far are based on the hardness of integer factoring, discrete logarithm, and/or elliptic curve. However, Peter Shor proved that the emerging quantum computers can solve the problem of prime factorization and discrete logarithm in polynomial time, which threatens the security of current RSA, ElGamal, ECC, and the proxy signature schemes based on these problems. We propose a proxy signature scheme based on the problem of Isomorphism of Polynomials (IP) which belongs to a major category of Multivariate Public Key Cryptography (MPKC). The most attractive advantage of our scheme should be its feature to potentially resist the future quantum computing attacks. A formal security proof is also given, which shows that our scheme can reach Existential Unforgeability under an Adaptive Chosen Message Attack with Proxy Key Exposure assuming that the underlying IP signature is Existential Unforgeability under an Adaptive Chosen Message Attack. It is a valuable attempt to explore the provable security in the area of MPKCs. The scheme is implemented in C/C++ programming language, and the performance shows that the scheme is efficient. The parameters we choose can let the security level of our implementation up to 2^8^6^.^5^9.

Abstract:Proxy signature is the solution to delegation of signing capabilities in electronic world. Proxy signatures are signature schemes that an original signer delegates his signing capability to a proxy signer, and the proxy signer creates signatures on behalf of the original signer. To avoid the misuse of proxy signatures, the original signer hopes that he can restrict the signing capability delegated to the proxy signers. In this paper, a designated-receiver proxy signature scheme is proposed. In this scheme, an original signer nominates a person as signature receiver when he delegates his signing capability to a proxy signer, and the proxy signer can generate valid proxy signature on behalf of the original signer which none but the nominated receiver can verify and accept, thus the misuse of proxy signature is avoided. The security of the proposed signature scheme is analyzed. The scheme will be applied in e_commerce and other fields.

Abstract:Proxy signature is an important delegation technique. It allows that the original signer delegates his or her signing capability to a proxy signer that can generate valid signatures on behalf of the original signer. Until now, most of proxy signature schemes only were proven secure in the random oracle model. And the length of a proxy signature is usually a sum of the lengths of two signatures in most of the proxy signature schemes. Therefore, the factors make the proxy signature unsuitable for many applications with the constrained space or bandwidth. In this paper, we propose a novel short proxy signature scheme in the standard model. And the scheme is probably secure in the standard model. Compared with all existing proxy signature schemes without random oracles, the scheme achieves the following advantages: stronger security, shorter system parameters, shorter signature length and higher efficiency. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first shortest proxy signature scheme in the standard model, whose length is only 320 b for practical 80-bit security level and the same as that of Digital Signature Algorithm.
