Merits and Demerits:An Introspection over Review of MBA Education

Abstract:The purpose of MBA education is to train management talents for companies, societies and countries. Accordingly, the content of the education should focus on ethics, cultural psychology and legal norm in order to promote the cooperation of society as a whole. Unfortunately, owing to the expansion of commercialism, MBA education has become increasingly utilitarian and practical and degenerated into a technical training subject serving individual wealth. Correspondingly, the MBA-men educated by current MBA courses are usually devoid of sociality. Their behavior and management practices are designed to promote the specific individual or group interests rather than enhance the effectiveness of the whole organization, thus strengthening social conflict rather than cooperation. Therefore, lack of humanity is the crux of MBA education and it will lead modern management to a serious dilemma.
