Breeding of Xinong 206,a New Tomato Hybrid

Abstract:The new tomato hybrid Xinong 206 is developed by taking inbred line B7 and B23 as female and male parent respectively.It is an indeterminate growth type with strong growth potential,high fruit setting ability at low temperature conditions,average single fruit weight of 230-260 g and the yield of 113 635.5 kg/hm2.The fruit is round,pink and smooth without green shoulder,and the carpopodium is short,with the soluble solid content of 4.9%,VC content of 12.6 mg/100 g.It has long shelf life and is tolerant to storage and transportation,resistant to ToMV,CMV,early blight,leaf mould and stress.
