Abstract:Five new eriophyoid mites infesting weeds of the family Poaceae are described and illustrated from Egypt. They are Abacarus stagninis sp. nov. from Echinochloa stagnina (Retz.) P. Beauv., vagrants in grooves between veins on the upper leaf surface, causing discoloration of the leaves; and four new species from genus Aceria (A. echinochloae sp. nov., A. barnyardi sp. nov., and A. stagninis sp. nov.) from E. stagnina and E. crus–galli (L.) Beauv., and Aceria pennisetosa sp. nov., from Pennisetum purpureum Schumach. These species are vagrants underneath inner surface of the leaf sheath around stem and no symptoms were observed. However, A. barnyardi sp. nov. is a vagrant underneath inner surface of the leaf sheath around stem and are endoparasitic inside tissue of leaves causing rusted leaves.

Abstract:Two new species of eriophyoid mites are described and illustrated from Guangxi, China: Acaphylla quercus sp. nov. collected on Quercus glauca Thunb. (Fagaceae), Rhyncaphytoptus miliusius sp. nov. collected on Miliusa sinensis Finet & Gagnep. (Annonaceae). We further report Cecidodectes euzonus Nalepa, 1917, collected on Trema tomentosa (Roxb.) H.Hara (Cannabaceae), for the first time from China. All the species are vagrants on lower leaf surface causing no apparent damage to their host plants.

Abstract:One new genus and six new species of eriophyoid mite from Mountain Trusmadi, Malaysia are described and illustrated. They are Isoannulus morrisianae sp. nov. on Diospyros morrisiana (Ebenaceae), Abacarus bicolorus sp. nov. on Lespedeza bicolor (Leguminosae), Parneometaculus persicariae gen. nov. & sp. nov. on Persicaria chinensis (Polygonaceae), Shevtchenkella miscanthis sp. nov. on Miscanthus floridulus (Poaceae), Davisella nitidis sp. nov. on Artocarpus nitidus subsp. lingnanensis (Moraceae), and Vimola blastis sp. nov. on Blastus cochinchinensis (Melastomataceae). Furthermore, two new records of eriophyoid mites are found: Knorella bambusae (Kuang & Feng, 1989) rec. nov. on Bambusa sp. (Poaceae) and Diptilomiopus melastomae (Boczek & Chandrapatya, 2002) rec. nov. on Melastoma malabathricum (Melastomataceae). All these new eriophyoid mite species and new records are vagrants causing no apparent symptom to their host plants.

Abstract:Three new species and one new record of the eriophyoid mites from Iran are described and illustrated. They are Aceria chenopodia n. sp. on Chenopodium album L. (Chenopodiaceae), Aceria mashhadiensis n. sp. on Polygonum arviculare L. (Polygonaceae), Tetra ferdowsiensis n. sp. on Ulmus minor Mill. (Ulmaceae), and Aceria fraxinivora (Nalepa, 1909) on Fraxinus excelsior (Oleaceae). All the new species described herein are vagrants on the host plant. A checklist of eriophyoid mites from Iran was provided.

Abstract:Prior to this research, 47 genera and 124 eriophyoid mite species have been known to occur in Shaanxi Province, northwestern China. We described and illustrated herein five new species collected in Shaanxi Province. They are Proartacris cathayensis sp. nov. on Carya cathayensis Sarg. (Juglandaceae), Acaphyllisa changqingiensa sp. nov. on Salix sp. L. (Salicaceae), Tegonotus albus sp. nov. on Cornus alba L. (Cornaceae), Phyllocoptruta japonica sp. nov. on Lonicera japonica Thunb. (Caprifoliaceae), Anthocoptes albosinensis sp. nov. on Betula albosinensis Burkill (Betulaceae). At the same time, one new eriophyoid mite record from China is provided, Rhinotergum schestovici Petanovic, 1988, rec. nov. on Betula albosinensis Burkill (Betulaceae). A list of eriophyoid mites from Shaanxi Province is provided. All the new species and new record described herein are vagrants on respective host plants.

Br.（Apocynaceae） and Aculus paederius Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov. infesting Paederia scandens（Lour.） Merr.（Rubiaceae）. Tegolophus artocarpi Keifer, 1977 is newly recorded from China. E. casearius Wang, Yang ＆ Tan, sp. nov. distorts severely new foliage of its host plant. Three species, P. alstonia Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov., A. paederius Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov. and T. artocarpi, cause rust on the undersurfaces of host plants, while D. litsea Wang, Tan ＆ Yang, sp. nov. is a vagrant on the undersurface of host plant leaves, without visible symptom.

Abstract:Field study was carried out on mite species inhabiting some fruit trees in Ismailia Governorate, during the period from October 2014 to September 2016. Survey of mites proved the occurrence of 44 mite species belonging to 36 genera and 21 families belong to 2 orders and 4 suborders. Order: Acariformes include three suborders; Prostigmata, Astigmata and Cryptostigmata. Suborder Prostigmata was represented by 14 families: Tetranychidae (7 species), Tenuipalpidae (8 species), Eriophyidae (one species), Stigmaeidae (2 species), Neophyllobiidae (2 species), Caligonellidae (one species), Raphignathidae (one species), Cheyletidae (3 species), Eupalopsellidae (one species), Bdellidae (one species), Cunaxidae (one species), Eupodidae (one species), Tydeidae (3 species) and Tarsonemidae (one species). Suborder: Astigmata was represented by two families: Acaridae (two species) and Glycyphagidae (one species). Suborder Cryptostigmata was represented by two families: Oppiidae (one species) and Oribatulidae (one species). On the other hand, order: Acariformes include one suborder: Mesostigmata, which represented by three families: Phytoseiidae (4 species), Ologamasidae (one species) and Ameroseiidae (one species).

Abstract:Eriophyoid mites from Qinghai Province, northwestern China were studied herein. Up to now, only six species have been reported from Qinghai Province. In field surveys, 17 eriophyoid mite species were collected, among which nine species were found new to science. The new species and their host plants are listed as follows: Acaphyllisa tuberculumaesp. n. on Populus sp. (Salicaceae); Proiectus xiningensissp. n. on Pinus sp. (Pinaceae); Phyllocoptes beishaniensissp. n. on Spiraea mongolica Maxim. (Rosaceae); Tetra prunianasp. n. on Prunus tomentosa Thunb. (Rosaceae) Rupr. (Berberidaceae); Tetra pyrianasp. n. on Pyrus calleryana Decne. (Rosaceae); Tetra simoniasp. n. on Populus simonii Carr. (Salicaceae); Diptacus berberinussp. n. on Berberis amurensis Rupr. Abstract:Eriophyid mites (Eriophyidae) are strictly phytophagous and are concentrated in Europe, Eastern Asia, Southeast Asia, Western and Eastern North America, Southern India, and New Zealand. South and southwest China are hot spots for eriophyid mite species diversity and endemism. In this study, we describe two new species, Scolotosus ehretussp. nov. on Ehretia acuminata (Boraginaceae) and Neotegonotus ulmchangussp. nov. on Ulmus changii (Ulmaceae), from south and southwest China (the Oriental Region), and one new eriophyid mite, Leipothrix ventricosissp. nov. on Hosta ventricosa (Asparagaceae), from northeast China (the Palearctic Region). All three new eriophyid mite species are distributed in the temperate region of China. We further provided mitochondrial gene (cox1, 12S rRNA) and nuclear gene (18S rRNA, 28S rRNA) sequences for three new species.
