Abstract:This paper focuses on analytically viewing the nature of the tragic economic and political relationship among Indian, Pakistan, and China from 1949 to 2000.In addition, it explores how much Indo-Pak relations have been influenced by the Sino-Pak growing ties from the early 1960s.Shift in China's South Asia Policy after Mao and particularly in the post-Cold War settings are the major areas of concern.Furthermore, this study focuses on the transformation in the regional and international relations at the end of the cold war to race out the impact on the regional and bilateral dynamics of the three states: China, India, and Pakistan.Scholars agree in their opinion that the post-Cold war era can be best described as a period of rapid power transitions.There is considerable debate with regard to the direction and magnitude of this transition.Among these transitions, the most significant of them all is the emerging multiplicity with new power center.In the wake of the modernization drive being pursued by China and India, their focus is to liberalize their economics and the growing pursuit of normalization between India and Pakistan in comparison to Indo-Chinese efforts to accommodate each other.This, therefore, is regarded as a reflection of divergent held by the major players in South Asia.
