Mixing of four-armed benzaldehyde-terminated polyethylene glycol and dodecyl-modified chitosan forms the gel. The hydrogel efficiently heals both acute and chronic wounds based on its outstanding self-healing, adhesion, hemostasis, anti-infective properties, and other wound-healing promoting capabilities.
