Abstract:•Prospective multicenter study on the incidence of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) after radical gastrectomy in China.•The incidence of clinically relevant POPF (CR-POPF) following radical gastrectomy is 1.1% in experienced medical centers.•Advanced pathological stage and LigaSure usage correlated with CR-POPF following radical gastrectomy.•Operation procedure, LigaSure usage and drain amylase content (D-AMY) are promising for early identification of CR-POPF.
