Blood Glucose Screening and Management in Advanced Age Pregnant Women

Abstract:With the development of social industrialization and the promotion of two-child policy, the number of pregnant women in advanced maternal age (AMA) have increased steadily. AMA as the independent risk factor for pregestational diabetes and gestational diabetes mellitus, may lead to maternal and neonatal adverse outcomes and short or long term complications. In this article, we focus on the screening and management of pregestational diabetes and gestational diabetes mellitus in advanced age pregnant women, in order to reduce the frequency of the composite perinatal outcome.
