Abstract:This paper present a novel easy and effective algorithm to plant digital watermark into digital images, this algorithm is different to general watermarking methods based on spread spectrum, because a new orthogonal base based on piecewise polynomial is constructed. The watermark based on this algorithm can resist energy loss caused by lose compression of digital image. In the first part of this pper, piecewise linear U system and its properties will be introduced respectively, corresponding graphs are shown, too. Following this part, how to generalize this algorithm to piecewise k degree U system is discussed; In the third part fo this paper, based on decompose digital image by piecewise linear U system, a kind of digital image watermarking scheme will be provided, the process of this algorithm is introduced step by step. By the end of this paper, some corresponding experimental results based on U system will be listed. The experimental results demonstrate the algorithm is reliable.

Abstract:In this paper, a wavelet domain robust watermarking technique for still images is presented. Watermark message encoding is accomplished based on iterative error correction codes with reasonable decoder complexity, followed by the codeword spreading over the whole image. Unlike the traditional technique, the proposed method utilizes the statistical property of a certain local area of an image in DWT domain for the watermark embedding and extraction. To minimize the perceptual degradation of the watermarked image, we propose an image compensation strategy (ICS) to make the watermark perceptually invisible. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness of the algorithm to many attacks, such as A/D and D/A processing, rescaling, and lossy compression.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a watermarking algorithm for digital image based on DCT and SVD. The algorithm can satisfy the transparence and robustness of the watermarking system very well. The experiment based on this algorithm demonstrates that the watermarking is robust to the common signal processing techniques including JEPG compressing,noise, low pass filter, median filter, contrast enhance.Experimental results show that the new watermarking scheme is more robust than the SVD methods.

Abstract:Malicious tampering of digital image content may lead to serious consequences. As image resolution increases and its circulations on the network grows rapidly, images undergo double compression in the following environment: compression (JPEG/JPEG2000) for first release, decoding, application processing (conventional signal processing/security attacks/malicious content tampering), and compression (JPEG2000/JPEG) for rerelease before detection. Effectively determining whether the image content has been tampered and to locate the tampering position in a double-compression environment is an urgent problem. In this paper, a novel watermark expression method based on rotating vector and its modulation algorithm is proposed. Based on this method, a semi-fragile watermarking scheme is established for the image content authentication. The stability of watermarked data is analyzed theoretically, providing the watermark scheme with a theoretical basis. The authentication schemes with feature extraction and reconstruction, watermark embedding and extraction, and tamper detection and localization are mainly elaborated. The robustness of watermark, its security, and related detection performance are analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experiments show that the scheme features a good watermark transparency, good robustness, and stable distribution for different attacks and can effectively distinguish malicious tampering from content-preserving operators and locate tampering area under double-compression environment. In addition, the proposed scheme can resist watermark attacks, collage attacks, and forge attacks. Compared with related schemes, the proposed scheme has superior comprehensive performance and is suitable for content authentication in double-compression environment, which expands the application scope of watermark-based content authentication.

Abstract:Semi-fragile watermarking technique for digital image, as a technology for content authentication, aims at telling malicious tampering from content-preserving operators. However, with the resolution of imaging sensors increasing and the explosive growth of digital images on the internet, before authorization, watermarked images tend to undergo such double-compression environments as: first compression (JPEG/JPEG2000) for release, decoding, application processing (conventional signal processing such as nosing, filtering, cropping, and scaling/security attack/malicious tampering), and second compression (JPEG2000/JPEG) for release again. In this paper, based on rotating vector, we propose a novel watermarking expression method that can describe carrier semantics to a certain extent and its modulation algorithm for digital image, and analyze the stability of the watermarked data theoretically. Then, a semi-fragile watermarking scheme is proposed for image content authentication to effectively distinguish malicious content manipulation from content-preserving operations in the double-compression application environment, which expands the application scope of content authentication based on watermarking technology.

Abstract:A method of embedding a color digital watermark into a gray-level image is proposed. By still image compression coding technique, the color digital watermark is encoded into a series of binary ID numbers for watermarking. The algorithm can extract the watermark without the original image because the embedding process is based on the relationship between the discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients of the original image. Experimental results show that the proposed technique is robust against some image processing operations and joint photographic experts group (JPEG) lossy compression.

Abstract:This paper presents a watermarking scheme, which embeds visible watermark by utilizing the human visual system and inserts invisible watermark by quantizing the absolute value of the selected appropriate coefficients in wavelet domain. The invisible watermark can be extracted blindly. The experimental result demonstrates that the proposed algorithm is robust to common signal processing operations and some hostile attacks.

In recent years, some multipurpose digital watermarking methods based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and discrete Fourier transform (DFT) have been presented to achieve the goal of both content authentication and copyright protection. In this paper, we present a novel multipurpose digital image watermarking method based on a mean-removed vector quantizer structure. In the proposed method, the fragile watermark and the robust watermark are embedded in mean indices and residual indices respectively. Simulation results demonstrate the efectiveness in terms of robustness and fragility.

Abstract:Digital watermarking technique has been presented and widely researched to solve some important issues in the digital world, such as copyright protection, copy protection, and content authentication. Conventional watermarking algorithms are mostly based on discrete cosine transform (DCT), discrete Fourier transform (DFT), and discrete wavelet transform (DWT). Most of these algorithms are designed for only one purpose. Abstract:This paper presents a digital watermarking scheme based on the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). In the proposed method, selected mid-band DCT coefficients from 8x8 block DCT are selected to form blocks which are later decomposed into three matrices, i.e. U, S and V. Finally the original watermark is also partitioned into blocks and then embedded into the matrix S. Experimental result shows that the presented scheme is robust to several kinds of attacks.

Abstract:This paper aims at digital watermark which is a new popular research topic recently, presents some methods to embed digital watermark based on modifying frequency coefficients in discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain. First, the present progress of digital watermark is briefly introduced; after that, starting from Pitas’s method and discarding his pseudo random number method, the authors use a digital image scrambling technology as preprocessing for digital watermarking. Then the authors discuss how to embed a 1-bit digital image as watermark in frequency domain. Finally another digital watermarking method is given in which 3-D DWT is used to transform a given digital image. Based on the experimental results, it is shown that the proposed methods are robust to a large extent.

Abstract:A DCT-domain watermarking algorithm with 8 bits gray image's watermark is proposed. First, the method of block classification based on HVS is improved, which enhances the information hiding ability of cover image. In the watermark embedding process, we transform the image's watermark into DCT domain, and embed the low-frequency coefficients to the blocks that have bigger elongation factor. At the same time, we adjust the DCT coefficients of image's watermark to make them in the same level. This increases the SNR of extracted watermark. The experimental results show that the mentioned algorithm is more robust to many attacks, especially to JPEG compression, rotation and cropping.

Abstract:Digital watermarking has been presented as a new method for copyright protection. It is a technique to insert imperceptible (and hard to remove) data into digital image, audio or video, so that it allows ownership to be established or a buyer to be identified. The common digital image watermarking techniques are spatial or transform-based, which are based on spread-spectrum communications. Most of transform-domain watermarking methods are based on Discrete Cosine Transforms (DCT) and robust to JPEG lossy compression. Recently, digital image watermarking based on another significant lossy compression technique, Vector Quantization (VQ), has been presented, which carries watermark information by codeword indices. It is quite effective, especially for the robustness to VQ compression with the same codebook. This paper presents a more favorable image watermarking method based on classified VQ. This technique can achieve excellent embedding performance and extract the watermark without the original image. Experimental results show that the proposed techniques are superior to some existing VQ-based watermarking algorithms, and the watermarked image is robust to some common signal processing operations.

Abstract:Digital watermarking has been presented as a new method for copyright protection by embedding a secret signal in a digital image or a video sequence. Common digital watermarking techniques are based on the concept of spread-spectrum communications, which can be classified into two catalogues: spatial-domain and transform-domain based. Most of transform-domain based watermarking methods are based on discrete cosine transforms (DCT) and are robust to JPEG lossy compression. Recently, the digital image watermarking based on another important lossy compression technique, vector quantization (VQ), has been presented, which carries watermark information by codeword indices. It is secret and efficient, and is robust to VQ compression with the same codebook. However, the embedded information is less and the extraction process requires the original image. This paper presents a more efficient VQ-based image watermarking method, with which a large gray-level watermark can be embeded into the original image with less extra distortion and the watermark extraction can be performed without the original image. In addition, the proposed watermarking algorithm is very secret because two keys are required for the watermark extraction. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

Abstract:Watermarking has been a popular research area inrecent years due to its wide application. In this paper, a briefwatermarking algorithm based on Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT) and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) is proposed. Inthe embedding process, we apply DFT to one of the sub-bandresulting from DWT. We embed the watermark image bydirectly modifying the coefficients of magnitude spectrum orphase spectrum according to the pixel value of them. Andwatermark extraction is the reverse process of embedding. Weonly need the watermarked image and the original image. Wecompare the magnitude watermarking method and phasewatermarking method according to its invisibility, peak signalto noise rate (PSNR), error rate and robustness to differentattacks. The results show that our algorithm is robust undervarious attacks such as adding noises, rotation, cropping,JPEG compression and filtering.

Abstract:Until today, digital image watermarking has not been large-scale used in the industry. The first reason is that the watermarking efficiency is low and the real-time performance cannot be satisfied. The second reason is that the watermarking scheme cannot cope with various attacks. To solve above problems, this paper presents a multi-domain based digital image watermarking scheme, where a fast DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) based watermarking method is proposed for synchronization correction and an IWT-DCT (Integer Wavelet Transform-Discrete Cosine Transform) based watermarking method is proposed for information embedding. The proposed scheme has high efficiency during embedding and extraction. Compared with five existing schemes, the robustness of our scheme is very strong and our scheme can cope with many common attacks and compound attacks, and thus can be used in wide application scenarios.

Abstract:Most of the published literatures on watermarking focus on the copyright protection, namely, robust watermark. Recently, some others refer to fragile watermark applying to content authentication, almost all of which perform solely in the transform domain, such as Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Here, we propose a method to simultaneously embed dual watermarks of both robustness and fragility. For the robust watermark, we adopt a novel Vector Quantization (VQ) codebook generating method, labeled-code word, to achieve effective embedding and extraction without the original image. Furthermore, unlike the VQ methods mentioned in the involved literatures, the vectors to be quantized are not selected from the parameters in the spatial domain but the coefficients in DCT domain. For the fragile watermark, we apply index constrained VQ in DCT domain. The experimental results show that the proposed techniques are satisfactory on both copyright protection and content authentication because of the robust and fragile watermarking.

Digital watermark is embedded into the middle frequency subband images of the original image in discrete wavelet transformation domain. Abstract:With the rapid growth of networked multimedia data systems, copyright protection of proprietary digitized media has gained importance. Inserting a robust and invisible signal that clearly identifies the owner or the recipient is beginning to emerge as the solution. Previous research in the field of watermarking has been successful in inserting a 'static' watermark, which endures ownership rights but is not as robust and tamper-proof as the 'dynamic' watermarks. This paper presents a novel invisible and robust watermarking technique that aims at dynamically inserting the watermark in digital images. Dynamic generation of watermark ensures that whenever the image is viewed, the watermark inserted in the image is different from the previous one providing more security against copyright attacks. This is accomplished by bundling the viewer and the image together, in which the viewer is responsible for embedding the new watermark using the spread spectrum watermarking algorithm every time. We have implemented the proposed scheme and present experimental results.
