Developing Dilemma And Suggestions Of Urban Community Social Organizations In China

Abstract:Community social organization is a kind of social organization, also called community civic organization or community intermediary organization. It refers to the organization between community subjectivity organizations (community party organization and community residents committee) and residents individual which aims to satisfying diversified needs of community residents and is set up or joined by community residents spontaneously, whose main members are community residents and main activity scope is community region. With the development of community construction in China, community social organizations play an important role in expressing community residents' interests, participating in providing community public service, constructing community social capital, and promoting the transformation of government functions. But these organizations are facing a series of problems such as awkward organization position, difficult living situation and bad credibility. To resolve these development problems of community social organizations, there should aim to foster good interaction among government, community residents committee and community social organizations, especially emphasize on completing the supervision mechanism built on classifying, improving the incentive mechanism for them to participate in community development, and rebuild their credibility.
