Abstract:The new industrial revolution is the inevitable result of the revolution in information technology and artificial intelligence technology. It is the basic way to solve the problem of energy depletion and serious ecological problems in society. It is the fundamental way to realize the global economic recovery and growth. The new science and technology revolution, the new industrial revolution, the social institutional revolution and the concept revolution constitute the essences of new industrial revolution. It has characteristics of intelligence, cooperation, customization, physic and ecology. Under the background of the new industrial revolution, international engineering education continues to be deepened reform, transforms from technological paradigm and science paradigm to engineering paradigm, combining science and technology with non-technology, and emphasizes on the practice, comprehensiveness and innovation of engineering education. The new industrial revolution actively promotes the reform of global engineering education, leads the reform on the concept, mechanism and mode of engineering training through engineering education and emphasizes on creation, interaction, social capital, participates in the open sharing and joining the global network. Studying of the new industrial revolution and its international engineering education provides information and reference for China's comprehensive national strength, which is important for improving the national core competitiveness and achieving the strategic objectives.
