Abstract:The modern management science origins from the west; while Chinese management thoughts appear long before that in the west. As early as over 2000 years ago, Confucianism has established the management theory with human as the center which plays a major role in the management thoughts treasury in Chinese civilization. Its profound philosophy and intelligence exert a far-reaching influence on the oriental management mode. Confucian management thoughts adopt "benevolence" as the center and "loving all people and things and advocating etiquette" as the general feature. This essay simply surmises the differences between the Chinese and western management modes, then expounds emphatically on the Confucian ethics spirit, strives to reveals the humanized characters of Confucianism, explores its values in the modern management, and provides thinking spirit in establishing the management culture with Chinese features.
