Abstract:The problem of H-infinity control for a class of linear systems with state saturation nonlinearities is considered in this paper. By introducing a row diagonally dominant matrix with negative diagonal elements and a diagonal matrix with positive elements, the H-infinity control problem is reduced to a matrix inequality feasibility problem that can be solved by the proposed iterative linear matrix inequality algorithm. The effectiveness of the presented method is demonstrated by a numerical example.

Abstract:This paper deals with the problem of disturbance attenuation via output feedback with internal stability for Lipschitz nonlinear systems. The main result is given in terms of the solutions of a Riccati equation and a Hamilton-Jacobi inequality. Abstract:The design of robust H-infinity controller for uncertain discrete-time Markovian jump systems with actuator saturation is addressed in this paper. The parameter uncertainties are assumed to be norm-bounded. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are proposed to design a set of controllers in order to satisfy the closed-loop local stability and closed-loop H-infinity performance. Using an LMI approach, a set of state feedback gains is constructed such that the set of admissible initial conditions is enlarged and formulated through solving an optimization problem. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Abstract:In this paper, the design problem of alpha-robust H-infinity state feedback controller for a class of linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems with time-delay is addressed. A sufficient condition for the existence of alpha-robust H-infinity state feedback controller is derived in terms of a new method and the corresponding design method of the controller is given. Furthermore, illustrative example is given to demonstrate the superiority of the presented method.

Abstract:This paper develops an H-infinity control technique for uncertain linear time-delay systems, which takes account of not only plant uncertainty but also controller uncertainty. Considering additive controller gain variations, the paper focuses on the design of memoryless state feedback control such that the closed-loop system is quadratically stable and possesses an H-infinity disturbance attenuation bound for all admissible uncertainties and arbitrary unknown delay. With assumption that all the plant and controller uncertainties are described by time-varying but nom-bounded form, the design method is presented based on algebraic Riccati inequality, and furthermore the obtained results can be transferred to LMI problem based on Schur complements.

Robust H-infinity Output Feedback Control with Variance and Pole Constraints for Time-Varying Uncertain Systems

Abstract:The design method of robust H-infinity output feedback controller with state variance and regional pole constraints is proposed in this paper for a class of time-varying uncertain systems and a quadratic matrix inequality region. Firstly, a necessary and sufficient condition of regional stable for the closed-loop system is introduced. Secondly, a sufficient condition for the existence of such output feedback controller is derived by means of linear matrix inequality approach. Under the proposed sufficient condition, the closed-loop system is robustly regional stable, possesses H-infinity performance and finite steady state variance when the disturbance is a zero-mean Gaussian white noise process. The gain matrices of the output feedback controller are also constructed by means of the method of matrix decomposition. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller designing method.

Abstract:Deals with the stabilization problem and the design of a parametrized controller for a class of nonlinear multi-time-delay systems described in Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models. The sufficient conditions for the existence of the stable fuzzy controller by state feedback were deduced in terms of Lyapunov stability theory. A convex multivariable optimization problem was formulated by applying the LMI approach. The memoryless fuzzy controller was designed and the solving scheme for the parameters was also given. The results of numerical simulation show the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed method of the fuzzy controller.

The given methods are easy to implement and can be applied to both standard and nonstandard nonlinear singularly perturbed systems. Abstract:This paper studies the problem of dynamic output feedback H (infinity) control for nonlinear systems, which are described by Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy parts with measurable premise variables and uncertainty parts. The uncertainties are parameter dependent, unknown, and time varying but bounded. A switching fuzzy dynamic output feedback control scheme is proposed, which depends on the measurable premise variables and the bounds of the unknown parameters of the considered system, where the switching mechanism is introduced to handle the unknown parameters. A two-step linear-matrix-inequality-based optimization procedure is developed to design switching fuzzy H (infinity) controllers. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.

Abstract:The problem of output feedback H∞ control for linear discrete-time systems subject to sensor nonlinearities is considered. The existence conditions for the globally asymptotic stability and the H∞ performance for the closed-loop systems with sensor sector nonlinearities are derived. A method for designing the output feedback H∞ controller is then given within the framework of linear matrix inequalities. Based on these results, a controller design for the regional output feedback H∞ control problem with sensor saturation is proposed. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Abstract:Controller using partial state information belong to a class of static output feed-back controllers,and is difficult to obtain by using linear matrix inequality.This paperconsiders a fuzzy partial-state-feedback controller design problem for the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy systems.The design problem can be reduced to a feasibility problem of a set ofbilinear matrix inequalities(BMIs).The objective of this paper is to propose an algorithm forsolving the resulting BMIs by using the idea of the homotopy method,where controller gainsare deformed from the fuzzy full-state-feedback matrices to the fuzzy partial-state-feedbackgains.Thus,the stabilizing fuzzy partial-state-feedback controller gains can be obtainedvia an iterative algorithm.The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by asimulation example.

Abstract:In this note, the static output feedback stabilization problem is addressed using the linear matrix inequality technique. A necessary and sufficient condition for static output feedback stabilizability for linear time-invariant systems is derived in the form of a matrix inequality. The extension of the result to H∞ control is studied. An iterative LMI (ILMI) algorithm is proposed to compute the feedback gain. Numerical examples are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness and the convergence of the algorithm.

Abstract:This paper discusses optimal H∞ output feedback control using linear matrix inequalities for a class of systems with sector bounded nonlinearities. A unified model, which is the interconnection of a linear dynamic system and a sector bounded static nonlinear operator, is proposed to describe these systems. Based on the H∞ performance analysis of the closed-loop systems including the unified model and output feedback controller, the parameters of output controller are determined not only to guarantee global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system without disturbances, but also to reduce the effect of external disturbance on the performance output to a minimal H∞ norm constraint. The nonlinear systems satisfying certain sector type constraints can be transformed into this unified model, and H∞ output feedback controllers are designed for these systems in a unified way. © 2013 TCCT, CAA.

Based on this, an H-infinity feedback controller is developed and the design problem is further transformed into solution of some Linear Matrix Inequalities. The stability of the whole system is also proved.
