Abstract:"Mathematics studies the 'quantity relation' and the 'space form' of the real world." Quantity relation is the most common rule of nature, which the substance weaves in. The space form is just the space-visual expression of object. Not only does Mathematics provide us ways to understand objects arround us, but also provide us laws to cteate objects. Design has a close relationship with Mathematics. The structure, the form, even the function of a object, all these can be regarded as useing mathematical rules to create. Body is integrated by elements in some quantity relation. A beautiful form contains a good proportion, and function just can be seen as a composite which is fit for right laws. Good scale aways means beatuiful form and function, such as the Golden ratio. If "existence" means reasonable, and "reasonable" can be used in design, then, many laws of mathematics are the magic weapon for creation.
