Abstract:To investigate the changes of plasma proteome in the process of fetal development, the plasma proteome of Fetal (E15.5) and newborn (NB) rat were profiled using LC‐MS/MS and compared. With a rigorous filter, we found 24 of relative high abundant proteins were only identified in the Fetal (E15.5) rat plasma, while 12 of relative high abundant proteins only in the newborn (NB) rat plasma. Comparing with Fetal (E15.5) rat plasma, 10 of relative abundance proteins decreased in the newborn (NB) rat plasma, while 21 of proteins increased. Some changes are consistent with previous knowledge such as albumin, apolipoproteins, Plasminogen, Corticosteroid‐binding globulin£¬Haptoglobin, Alpha‐2‐macroglobulin, and Alpha‐fetoprotein, etc. With the Gene Ontology analysis, immune and stimulus related proteins were found to be enriched in the changed proteins that we identified. At the same time some organ specific proteins were also included in these changed proteins, such as Prothrombin£¬Fetub protein, and Alpha‐fetoprotein, etc. This is the first study of plasma changes during fetal development with proteomics technology..
