Empirical Study on the Factors of Capital Structure of Listed Companies——A Case Study of Real Estate Industry in China

Abstract:Capital structure changes significantly in different industries,this paper selects 63 listed companies from real estate industry to establish multiple regression model and make a test of the factors of capital structure.Empirical results indicate that company size,profitability,growth,collateral value,tax and ratio of stock are the main factors of Chinese listed real estate companies' capital structurre.Moreover, company size,collateral value and tax factors are positively related to capital structure,while profitability,growth ability and ratio of stock have significant negative correlation with capital structure.To defuse financial risks,this paper suggests that real estate companies should strive to expand business scale,enhance growth ability,especially to optimize the ownership structure and building a diversified financing system.
