Abstract:(RS)-(±)-2-Methoxy-carbonyl-3-tropinone is an important inter-mediate for the preparation of cocaine and its derivatives. The molecule in the title compound, C(10)H(16)NO(3) (+)·C(4)H(5)O(6) (-), is present as the enol tautomer. The six-membered ring adopts a half boat conformation, and the five-membered ring a slightly distorted envelope conformation. There are intra- and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds involving the hydroxyl, carboxyl groups and quaternary ammonium groups.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(8)H(5)NOS(2), the non-H atoms are approximately coplanar [maxium deviation = 0.060 (3) Å]. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the pyridine and 1,3-dithiol-2-one rings is 5.96 (17)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and by an S⋯S close contact [3.510 (5) Å].

Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(25)NO(4), was synthesized by a Mitsunobu reaction of sinomenine [(9S,13R,14R)-7,8-didehydro-4-hydroxy-3,7-dimethoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one] with methanol. The chiral centers were unchanged during the reaction. Intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of six-membered rings.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H17N3O 3S, was synthesized via the reaction of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2- ylsulfanyl)benzoic acid and aniline in dichloromethane using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as catalyst. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two benzene rings are 71.2 (2) and 62.7 (2)°; the dihedral angle between the planes of the two benzene rings is 68.4 (4)°. Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound, C12H20N4O2S, has been synthesized for use as an intermediate for antihypertensive agents, potential antimalarials and molecular rectification materials. The intermolecular S (. . .) N non-bonded separation within a column in the crystal structure is 3.308 (2) angstrom, indicating a strong intermolecular interaction between the cyano groups and the S atoms. Attractive C-H (. . .) O hydrogen bonds are responsible for zigzag molecular chains propagating in the a-axis direction; these types of intermolecular interactions combine to form an extended three-dimensional network in the lattice.

Abstract:The title compound 4-chloro-2-(morpholine-4-carbonyl)phenyl-4'-methoxybenzoate (C19H18ClNO5, M-r = 375.79), a 5-chlorosalicylic acid derivative incorporating morpholine moiety, was conveniently synthesized through two steps and crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 7.8501(10), b = 9.3149(12), c = 25.133(3) angstrom, V= 1836.2(4) angstrom(3) Z = 4, D-c = 1.359 Mg/m(3), lambda = 0.71073 angstrom, mu(MoK alpha) = 0.237 mm(-1), F(000) = 784, R = 0.0447 and wR = 0.1227 for 3982 independent reflections with I> 2 sigma(I). The dihedral angles formed between 4-methoxybenzene and 5-chlorobenzene rings, the 5-chlorobenzene and morpholine, and 4-methoxybenzene and morpholine rings are 82.55(3), 72.56(5) and 47.68(0)degrees by X-ray analysis, respectively. Bioassay shows that the title compound has a good molluscidal effect.

Abstract:The title compound n-propyl-4-[2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy)benzylamino] benzoate (C23H25N3O5) was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxy pyrimidine and N-(4'-propoxycarbonylphenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in THF, and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P2/n with a = 14.8504(8), b = 9.4420(4), c = 16.3129(9) Angstrom, beta = 104.881(1)degrees, V = 2210.6(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 4, D-c = 1.272 g/cm(3), F(000) = 896.00, mu(MoKalpha) = 0.91cm(-1), R = 0.051 and wR = 0.118. Of the 19761 collected reflections, 5004 were unique. The title compound was also characterized by elemental analysis, IR, MS and H NMR. In the molecule there exist three different planes. In each of them a conjugated system is formed. The dihedrals between the pyrimidine plane and two phenyl planes (C(7)similar toC(12), C(14)similar toC(19)) are 99.18 and 164.15degrees, respectively, and the dihedral between these two phenyl rings is 94.93degrees. The conformation of the title compound is of boat-like.
