Abstract:The title compound, C33H29N, was obtained by the reaction of 9-chloromethylanthracene and n-propylamine. Two anthracenylmethyl units are linked to the N atom of n-propylamine and the dihedral angle between the two anthracene systems is 64.3(2) degrees.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(26)H(33)N(3)O(4), there are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules. The two cyclohexane rings are trans-fused; the ring neighboring the phenyl group is in a half-chair conformation and the other is in a chair conformation. The two nitro groups and the benzene ring of the dinitro-phenyl group are almost coplanar. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H18BrN3O3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and N-(2-bromophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in tetrahydrofuran. There are three different planes in the molecule, each of which is conjugated. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two phenyl rings are 107.85 (4) and 77.38 (2) degrees, and the dihedral angle between the planes of the two phenyl rings is 103.15(3)degrees.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H14N4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction between 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and propiophenone. The compound crystallizes in an E configuration. Within the dinitrophenyl ring the distances [average 1.417 (4) Angstrom] of C-C bonds ipso to the amino group are significantly longer than the average distance of 1.375 (4) Angstrom for the other C-C bonds in the same phenyl ring. The van der Waals contact between the methyl and nitro groups from neighboring molecules results in the deviation of the ethyl group from the phenyl plane of the propiophenone group.

Abstract:The anthrone reacts with 2,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde under base catalyst to afford the title compound (C23H18O3, Mr = 342.37). The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 13.046(4), b = 8.937(2), c = 15.549(4)(A°),β= 106.52(3)°, V = 1738.1(8)(A°)3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.308 g/cm3,μ= 0.086 mm-1 and F(000) = 720. The final R = 0.0331 and wR = 0.0850. The results show that the two phenyl rings of the anthrone fragment are not coplanar, but with a dihedral angle of 157.92°. The middle ring of the anthrone moiety appears asymmetric boat conformation, while the 2,5-dimethoxyphenyl ring is restricted rotation. Therefore they exist in two optically active forms which are symmetrical glidingly.

Abstract:The title compound, C9H15NOS, was prepared by asymmetric synthesis from 3-dimethylamino-1-(2-thienyl) propan-1-one hydrochloride. In the molecule, the essentially planar CCCN chain makes a dihedral angle of 16.7 (3)degrees with the thiophene ring. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds to form a chain along the b axis.

Abstract:The title compound, C14H14BrNO4, contains a tricyclic ring system including three contiguous stereocenters all of which exhibit an R configuration. The cyclo-hexa-none ring adopts a chair conformation. The central oxane ring assumes a strained envelope conformation, with five of the ring atoms being nearly coplanar with the bromo-phenyl group and with the C atom adjacent to the O atom and fused with the cyclo-hexa-none ring as the flap. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Abstract:The title compound, C14H15BrN2O2, an intermediate in drug discovery, was synthesized by the reaction of 5-bromopyridin-2-amine and 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde. In the crystal, molecules are linked via pairs of N-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds, leading to the formation of inversion dimers. A short contact occurs between the aryl H atom (ortho position from N) and the centroid of the benzene ring.

In the crystal structure, the amide group forms a dihedral angle of 87.0 (1)° with the plane of the anthracene unit and the piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation. Abstract:The title compound n-propyl-4-[2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy)benzylamino] benzoate (C23H25N3O5) was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxy pyrimidine and N-(4'-propoxycarbonylphenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in THF, and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P2/n with a = 14.8504(8), b = 9.4420(4), c = 16.3129(9) Angstrom, beta = 104.881(1)degrees, V = 2210.6(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 4, D-c = 1.272 g/cm(3), F(000) = 896.00, mu(MoKalpha) = 0.91cm(-1), R = 0.051 and wR = 0.118. Of the 19761 collected reflections, 5004 were unique. The title compound was also characterized by elemental analysis, IR, MS and H NMR. In the molecule there exist three different planes. In each of them a conjugated system is formed. The dihedrals between the pyrimidine plane and two phenyl planes (C(7)similar toC(12), C(14)similar toC(19)) are 99.18 and 164.15degrees, respectively, and the dihedral between these two phenyl rings is 94.93degrees. The conformation of the title compound is of boat-like.
