Abstract:Lack of physical activity is a great threat to health, scientific and reasonable exercise is a low-cost and effective strategy to achieve active health. However, the forms of exercise are complex and diverse, most of which are based on leisure and entertainment. The intensity and time of exercise mainly rely on individual experience ‘feeling’, and lack of professional scientific guidance, which is very easy to cause exercise injury. As a professional theoretical guidance of exercise science, exercise prescription can meet the needs of exercise health, but the cost of professional service is high and difficult to popularize. This study proposed the ‘Personalized Health Exercise Prescription Recommendation System’(PHEPRS), which carried out applied research according to the current public needs in the field of exercise and health. We took table tennis as the breakthrough, based on the technical theories of computer and statistics, combined with the professional domain knowledge base to construct a personalized exercise prescription reasoning model. It provided users with the optimal exercise health strategy through the way of data + knowledge. We verified and evaluated the recommended results of the model under different populations, physiques and physiological states through public datasets and own datasets. The results showed that the model has usability, accuracy, effectiveness and higher interpretability, and could be widely applied to daily exercise fitness and health promotion of different populations.Funding Statement: This work was supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities under Grant (XDJK2020B029), Major Horizontal Projects of Southwest University (SWU41015718).Declaration of Interests: We declare that we do not have any commercial or associative interest that represents a conflict of interest in connection with the work submitted.Ethics Approval Statement: The Southwest University, Chongqing, China reviewed and approved the study.
