Abstract:As known to all that it is difficult for athletes in the basketball to make quick decision due to little available information, short reaction time, big pressure and unsure results of the competition. And this research designs a test system about decision-making in the situation of simulated motion, and makes a decision-making group test on 55 internal male basketball amateur players and professionals based on this system. According to the "expert - novice" research paradigm, we add mid-level player-test to do the comparative research. After using spss14.0 package for several mathematical statistics analysis, we get the following results: (I) in the professional group, decision-making is rational and stable, and self-confidence level is consistent with the accuracy of decision-making; (2) in the novice group, the results is opposite; (3)according to athletes 'levels from high to low, decision-making levels have shown a clear downward trend; (4)the speed and accuracy of decision-making have a certain degree of mutual restriction; (5)decision-making tasks and sports levels have an impact on the self-confidence obviously, while the influence of the interaction between the two levels is not obvious.
