Abstract:The signal variation induced by respiration and cardiac motion decreases the statistical significance in functional MRI data analysis. A method of estimation and correction physiological artifacts is reported. Based on the estimation of respiratory and cardiac spectrum from CSF, physiological artifacts can be removed by adaptive spectrum subtraction technique with the actual functional signal preserved. Compared with the current method, this method is a fully data-driven method, which can efficiently and effectively reduce the overall signal fluctuation of functional MRI data.
