Abstract:Only a limited number of studies have utilized non-vibration signals to conduct fault diagnosis of ball screws in industrial robots, and existing methods have to combine domain adaptation methods to overcome the challenge posed by variable and inaccessible working conditions, leading to the development of complex and large-scale models that are impractical to implement. In this study, a lightweight diagnosis model called Micro-Net is proposed, in which vibration signals and domain adaptation techniques are completely avoided. Firstly, envelope spectrum analysis and spectral kurtosis techniques were employed to identify d-axis current feedback (dCF) signals that contain abundant fault features. Subsequently, to meet the requirements of low latency, limited memory, and low power consumption for enterprise terminal deployments, a multi-functional partial convolution algorithm was proposed to design lightweight blocks. Finally, comprehensive experimental comparisons were made between Micro-Net and mainstream lightweight models, demonstrating that Micro-Net can achieve the highest accuracy of 99.22% when utilizing the dCF signal. In summary, this study focuses on exploring non-vibration signals with rich fault features and more practical, lightweight networks for industrial applications.
