Abstract:Massive access is an emerging technology that accommodates the critical application scenarios in which wireless networks simultaneously serve millions of infrequently communicating devices. Bringing the unique technical challenge of supporting a considerable number of potential devices in cellular networks, efficiently estimating the channel, and detecting the active users and data in this scenario is an open research topic. In this scenario, the compressed sensing-based multi-user detector (MUD) suffers from high complexity and performance degradation with massive potential devices. We aim to propose low complexity MUD schemes by exploring both temporal and spatial correlation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed schemes can dramatically reduce the complexity and increase the performance compared with the state-of-the-art approach for massive potential devices.
