Abstract:Let (X, tau(1)) and (Y, tau(2)) be two Hausdorff locally convex spaces with continuous duals X, and Y', respectively, L (X, Y) be the space of all continuous linear operators from X into Y, K (X, Y) be the space of all compact operators of L (X, Y). Let WOT and UOT be the weak operator topology and uniform operator topology on K (X, Y), respectively. In this paper, we characterize a full-invariant property of K (X, Y); that is, if the sequence space X has the signed-weak gliding hump property, then each; lambda-multiplier WOT-convergent series Sigma(i) T-i in K(X, Y) must be X-multiplier convergent with respect to all topologies between WOT and UOT if and only if each continuous linear operator T: (X, tau(1)) --> or (lambda(beta), sigma(lambda(beta),lambda)) is compact. It follows from this result that the converse of Kalton's Orlicz-Pettis theorem is also true. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science (USA). All rights reserved.

Abstract:In this paper, a coincidence theorem for a compact RC-map is proved in an abstract convex space. Several more general coincidence theorems for noncompact RC-maps are derived in abstract convex spaces. Some examples are given to illustrate our coincidence theorems. As applications, an alternative theorem concerning the existence of maximal elements, an alternative theorem concerning equilibrium problems and a minimax inequality for three functions arc proved in abstract convex spaces.

Abstract:We adapt the definition of the Vietoris map to the framework of finite topological spaces and we prove some coincidence theorems. From them, we deduce a Lefschetz fixed point theorem for multivalued maps that improves recent results in the literature. Finally, it is given an application to the approximation of discrete dynamical systems in polyhedra.

Abstract:In recent times there have been two prominent trends in metric fixed point theory. One is the use of weak contractive inequalities and the other is the use of binary relations. Combining the two trends, in this paper we establish a relation-theoretic fixed point result for a mapping which is defined on a metric space with an arbitrary binary relation and satisfies a weak contractive inequality for any pair of points whenever the pair of points is related by a given relation. The uniqueness is obtained by assuming some extra conditions. The metric space is assumed to be R -complete. We use R -continuity of functions. The property of local T-transitivity of the relation R is used in the main theorem. There is an illustrative example. An existing fixed point result is generalized through the present work. We use a method in the proof of our main theorem which is a blending of relation-theoretic and analytic approaches.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concept of mixed (G, S)-monotone mappings and prove coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for such mappings satisfying a nonlinear contraction involving altering distance functions. Presented theorems extend, improve and generalize the very recent results of Harjani, López and Sadarangani [J. Harjani, B. López and K. Sadarangani, Fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators and applications to integral equations, Nonlinear Analysis (2010), doi:<a class="link-https link-external" data-doi="10.1016/j.na.2010.10.047" href="https://doi.org/10.1016/j.na.2010.10.047" rel="external noopener nofollow">https://doi.org/10.1016/j.na.2010.10.047</a>] and other existing results in the literature. Abstract:This paper aims to investigate new coincidence point theorems for self‐maps under an extended rational contraction. Our approach uses the p‐adic distance in partially ordered ultrametric spaces. Furthermore, to illustrate our major discoveries, we give a comprehensive numerical analysis. This study expands on prior research in partially ordered ultrametric spaces to provide a more comprehensive understanding of such spaces using rational contraction.

Abstract:In this paper, by using a nonempty intersection lemma due to the authors, we obtain two coincidence theorems involved RC-maps in abstract convex spaces, which are actually equivalent. We then derive some maximal element theorems for set-valued maps in abstract convex spaces. As an application, we study the existence of solutions for a system of generalized equilibrium problems in abstract convex spaces. We also give some examples to illustrate our results.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce two multivalued contractive mappings within the framework of Hausdorff controlled metric spaces, employing concepts of admissibility and C ‐class functions. The first mapping is a (β∗,ζ) ‐generalized contractive multivalued mapping, and the second is a (β,W(ζ,ξ)) ‐multivalued mapping. We establish conditions guaranteeing the existence of fixed points for these mappings. To support our theoretical findings, we provide a numerical example, demonstrating the independence of the contractive conditions for the mappings. Furthermore, we apply our results to a specific problem in polynomial equations. These findings complement several existing results in the literature.

Abstract:Let T be a self-mapping on a complete metric space (X, d). In this paper, we obtain new fixed point theorems assuming that T satisfies a contractive-type condition of the following form: $$\begin{aligned} \psi (d(Tx,Ty)) \le \varphi (d(x,y)) \end{aligned}$$or T satisfies a generalized contractive-type condition of the form $$\begin{aligned} \psi (d(Tx,Ty)) \le \varphi (m(x,y)), \end{aligned}$$where ${\psi ,\varphi :(0,\infty ) \rightarrow {\mathbb {R}}}$ and m(x, y) is defined by $$\begin{aligned} m(x,y) = \max \left\{ d(x,y), d(x,Tx), d(y,Ty), [d(x,Ty)+d(y,Tx)] / 2 \right\} . \end{aligned}$$In both cases, the results extend and unify many earlier results. Among the other results, we prove that recent fixed point theorems of Wardowski (2012) and Jleli and Samet (2014) are equivalent to a special case of the well-known fixed point theorem of Skof (1977).

As applications, some new existence theorems of solutions for several classes of generalized vector equilibrium problems are established in noncompact FC-spaces. Abstract:The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy b-metric spaces (shortly, IFbMS) has been introduced and studied to generalize both the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces and fuzzy b-metric spaces. The existence of coincident point and common fixed point for two self-mappings has been established. In order to show the strength of these results, some interesting examples are established as well. Our results generalize many previous results existing in literature. Some nontrivial examples are furnished as well as an application is created to give the strength of our main result.

Abstract:In this paper, a generalization of fixed-point mappings with an iterate at a point in complete metric spaces is shown, using the notions of T-closed sets and i-P-regularity/d-P-regularity, proving conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point. Examples are provided to illustrate the results and an application to coupled fixed points is shown.

Abstract:In this article, we discuss two important and related concepts in the studies of geometric dimension theory, e.g. the correlation dimension and the local dimension of measures. Our results can be summarized as the following two aspects: on one hand, we show that the correlation dimension of measures is invariant under the quasi-Lipschitz mapping, and also give a sufficient condition for the coincidence of the correlation dimension and the Hausdorff dimension of measures. On the other hand, we examine the local dimensions in the limit sets of Moran construction in abstract metric space, with reasonably weaker separation condition. These discussions generalized several known results by Mattila, Moran and Rey in [14] and Li, Lou and Wu in [10,11].

Abstract:Lattice-valued semicontinuous mappings play a basic and important role in solvingthe problems of L-fuzzy compactification theory,and make the previous work on weakly inducedspaces and induced spaces determinatively generalized and strengthened.Moreover,we can describethe complete distributivity of lattices with them as well.In this paper,we give the mutually descrip-tive relation between lattice-valued semicontinuous mappings and the complete distributivity of lattices,and the construction theorems of open sets and closed sets in lattice-valued fully stratified spaces,weakly induced spaces and induced spaces（they are called S-spaces）.Furthermore,we will investi-gate the structure of the co-topology of S-space,solve a series of interesting problems on product,N-compactness and metrization of S-spaces.
