Abstract:Cannabis use in psychosis has been estimated at ∼50% with higher rates in early psychosis (EP). Cannabis affects cognition, including attention and language. Here we explored attention and language brain correlates and polygenic risk scores (PGRS) in EP (<5 years-illness) with (CAEP) and without (NCAEP) SCID-1 criteria for cannabis abuse/dependence compared to controls. We hypothesize lesser cortical thickness (CT) thinning in CAEP compared to NCAEP.
