Abstract:In this paper, we prove the Hardy-Leray inequality and related inequalities in variable Lebesgue spaces. Our proof is based on a version of the Stein-Weiss inequality in variable Lebesgue spaces derived from two weight inequalities due to Melchiori and Pradolini. We also discuss an application of our results to establish an existence result for the degenerate p ( ⋅ ) -Laplace operator.

Abstract:We prove new inequalities for the essential generalized and the essential joint spectral radius of Hadamard (Schur) weighted geometric means of bounded sets of infinite nonnegative matrices that define operators on suitable Banach sequence spaces and of bounded sets of positive kernel operators on $L^2$. To our knowledge the obtained inequalities are new even in the case of singelton sets.

Abstract:In this note we prove weighted Rellich–Sobolev and Hardy–Sobolev inequalities in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces L p ⁢ ( ⋅ ) ⁢ ( G ) defined on stratified homogeneous groups G . To derive the main results, we rely on weighted estimates for the Riesz potential operators in L p ⁢ ( ⋅ ) ⁢ ( G ) , where G is a general homogeneous group. The results are new even for the Abelian (Euclidean) case G = ( R d , + ) and the Heisenberg groups G = H n . The main statements are obtained for variable exponents satisfying the condition that the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator is bounded in appropriate variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. We also give some quantitative estimates for the norms of integral operators involved in derived estimates.

Fourier Transform of Anisotropic Hardy Spaces Associated with Ball Quasi-Banach Function Spaces and Its Applications to Hardy--Littlewood Inequalities

Abstract:Let $A$ be a general expansive matrix and $X$ be a ball quasi-Banach function space on $\mathbb R^n$, whose certain power (namely its convexification) supports a Fefferman--Stein vector-valued maximal inequality and the associate space of whose other power supports the boundedness of the powered Hardy--Littlewood maximal operator. Let $H_X^A(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be the anisotropic Hardy space associated with $A$ and $X$. The authors first prove that the Fourier transform of $f\in H^A_{X}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ coincides with a continuous function $F$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ in the sense of tempered distributions. Moreover, the authors obtain a pointwise inequality that the function $F$ is less than the product of the anisotropic Hardy space norm of $f$ and a step function with respect to the transpose matrix of the expansive matrix $A$. Applying this, the authors further induce a higher order convergence for the function $F$ at the origin and give a variant of the Hardy--Littlewood inequality in $H^A_{X}(\mathbb{R}^n)$. All these results have a wide range of applications. Particularly, the authors apply these results, respectively, to classical (variable and mixed-norm) Lebesgue spaces, Morrey spaces, Lorentz spaces, Orlicz spaces, Orlicz-slice spaces, and local generalized Herz spaces and, even on the last five function spaces, the obtained results are completely new.

Abstract:We show various sharp Hardy-type inequalities for the linear and quasi-linear Laplacian on non-compact harmonic manifolds with a particular focus on the case of Damek-Ricci spaces. Our methods make use of the optimality theory developed by Devyver/Fraas/Pinchover and Devyver/Pinchover and are motivated by corresponding results for hyperbolic spaces by Berchio/Ganguly/Grillo, and Berchio/Ganguly/Grillo/Pinchover.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce a unified and compact method for proving $L^p$ Hardy and Rellich-type inequalities. The most important feature of our method is that it allows us to extend these inequalities beyond the traditional Euclidean setting. More precisely, the applications of this method span diverse contexts, including the Heisenberg group, general Carnot groups, and operators represented as the sum of squares of vector fields. Notable examples include the sub-Laplacian on Carnot groups, the Heisenberg-Greiner operator, and the Baouendi-Grushin operator.

Abstract:We summarize some results as well as we prove some new results about the Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces and martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces. More precisely, Doob's maximal inequality for submartingales and Burkholder–Davis–Gundy inequality are presented. We also show some fundamental martingale inequalities and modular inequalities. Additionally, based on atomic decompositions, duality theorems and fractional integral operators are discussed. As applications in Fourier analysis, we consider the Walsh–Fourier series on Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces. The dyadic maximal operators on martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces are presented. The boundedness of maximal Fejér operator is proved, which further implies some convergence results of the Fejér means.

Abstract:Abstract Let $$0<q\le \infty $$ 0 < q ≤ ∞ , b be a slowly varying function and $$ \Phi : [0,\infty ) \longrightarrow [0,\infty ) $$ Φ : [ 0 , ∞ ) ⟶ [ 0 , ∞ ) be an increasing function with $$\Phi (0)=0$$ Φ ( 0 ) = 0 and $$\lim \limits _{r \rightarrow \infty }\Phi (r)=\infty $$ lim r → ∞ Φ ( r ) = ∞ . In this paper, we introduce a new class of function spaces $$L_{\Phi ,q,b}$$ L Φ , q , b which unify and generalize the Lorentz-Karamata spaces with $$\Phi (t)=t^p$$ Φ ( t ) = t p and the Orlicz-Lorentz spaces with $$b\equiv 1$$ b ≡ 1 . Based on the new spaces, we introduce five new Hardy spaces containing martingales, the so-called Orlicz-Lorentz-Karamata Hardy martingale spaces and then develop a theory of these martingale Hardy spaces. To be precise, we first investigate several properties of Orlicz-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and then present Doob’s maximal inequalities by using Hardy’s inequalities. The characterization of these Hardy martingale spaces are constructed via the atomic decompositions. As applications of the atomic decompositions, martingale inequalities and the relation of the different martingale Hardy spaces are presented. The dual theorems and a new John-Nirenberg type inequality for the new framework are also established. Moreover, we study the boundedness of fractional integral operators on Orlicz-Lorentz-Karamata Hardy martingale spaces. The results obtained here generalize the previous results for Lorentz-Karamata Hardy martingale spaces as well as for Orlicz-Lorentz Hardy martingales spaces. Especially, we remove the condition that b is non-decreasing as in [38, 39] and the condition $$q_{\Phi ^{-1}}<1/q$$ q Φ - 1 < 1 / q in [24], respectively.

Abstract: This paper is devoted to various applications of Hardy-Sobolev type inequalities. We derive a new $L^2$ estimate for the $\bar{\partial}-$equation on ${\mathbb C}^n$ which yields a quantitative generalization of the Hartogs extension theorem to the case when the singularity set is not necessary compact. We show that for any negative subharmonic function $\psi$ on ${\mathbb R}^n$, $n>2$, the BMO norm of $\log |\psi|$ is bounded above by $2\sqrt{n-2}$ and $|\psi|^\gamma$ satisfies a reverse H\"older inequality for every $0<\gamma<1$. We also show that every plurisubharmonic function is locally BMO. Several Liouville theorems for subharmonic functions on complete Riemannian manifolds are given. As a consequence, we get a Margulis type theorem that if a bounded domain in ${\mathbb C}^n$ covers a Zariski open set in a projective algebraic variety, then the group of deck transformations of the covering has trivial center.

Abstract:We give estimates of the remainder terms for several conformally-invariant Sobolev-type inequalities on the Heisenberg group. By considering the variations of associated functionals, we give a stability for two dual inequalities: The fractional Sobolev (FS) and Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev (HLS) inequalities, in terms of distance to the submanifold of extremizers. Then we compare their remainder terms to improve the inequalities in another way. We also compare, in the limit case, the remainder terms of Beckner-Onofri (BO) inequality and its dual logarithmic Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev (Log-HLS) inequality. Besides, we also list without proof some results for other groups of Iwasawa-type. Our results generalize earlier works on Euclidean spaces of Chen et al. (2013) and Dolbeault and Jankowiak (2014) onto some groups of Heisenberg-type. We worked for "almost" all fractions especially for comparing results, and the stability of HLS is also absolutely new, even for Euclidean case.

Abstract:Let $\varphi:\mathbb{R}^n\times[0,\,\infty) \rightarrow [0,\,\infty)$ satisfy that $\varphi(x,\,\cdot)$, for any given $x\in\mathbb{R}^n$, is an Orlicz function and $\varphi(\cdot\,,t)$ is a Muckenhoupt $A_\infty$ weight uniformly in $t\in(0,\,\infty)$. The Musielak-Orlicz Hardy space $H^\varphi(\mathbb{R}^n)$ generalizes both of the weighted Hardy space and the Orlicz Hardy space and hence has a wide generality. In this paper, the authors first prove the completeness of both of the Musielak-Orlicz space $L^\varphi(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and the weak Musielak-Orlicz space $WL^\varphi(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Then the authors obtain two boundedness criterions of operators on Musielak-Orlicz spaces. As applications, the authors establish the boundedness of parametric Marcinkiewicz integral $\mu^\rho_\Omega$ from $H^\varphi(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to $L^\varphi(\mathbb{R}^n)$ (resp. $WL^\varphi(\mathbb{R}^n)$) under weaker smoothness condition (resp. some Lipschitz condition) assumed on $\Omega$. These results are also new even when $\varphi(x,\,t):=\phi(t)$ for all $(x,\,t)\in\mathbb{R}^n\times[0,\,\infty)$, where $\phi$ is an Orlicz function.
Sharp Hardy inequalities involving distance functions from submanifolds of Riemannian manifolds

Abstract:We establish various Hardy inequalities involving the distance function from submanifolds of Riemannian manifolds, where the natural weights are expressed in terms of bounds of the mean curvature of the submanifold and sectional/Ricci curvature of the ambient Riemannian manifold. Our approach is based on subtle Heintze-Karcher-type Laplace comparisons of the distance function and on a D'Ambrosio-Dipierro-type weak divergence formula for suitable vector fields, providing Barbatis-Filippas-Tertikas-type Hardy inequalities in the curved setting. Under very mild assumptions, we also establish the sharpness and non-existence of extremal functions within the Hardy inequalities and - depending on the geometry of the ambient manifold - their extensibility to various function spaces. Several examples are provided by showing the applicability of our approach; in particular, well-known Hardy inequalities appear as limit cases of our new inequalities.

We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for weighted Orlicz-Poincaré inequalities in product spaces. These results follow the work of Chua and Wheeden, who established similar results for weighted Poincaré inequalities in product spaces.
