Abstract:Since reform was implemented, the urbanization process has been accelerated in the Changjiang River Delta. The structure of family property ownership based on real estates has become more complicated than that in times of communes. Farmers' private property, especially real estates, has experienced rapid development, but the idea of sharing within the ki`ndred is still deep-rooted in their minds, traditional moral judgments and the fair principle of mutual-benefit still functioning. This seems to be a paradox, which can only be rationally interpreted from the practical state of farmers' ownership of property.
